Molly gets fair recognition for her other talents, but she's pretty fuckin underrated as a guitarist! She plays some cool shit and some beautiful melodic lines that are a total crux of her songs.

I mean they sound a lot like Jesus and Mary Chain or some of the female fronted shoegaze bands, only with more melodic elements and songs that are 100x more memorable and well written. Obviously I’m a little late on this comment but Alvvays brought me so much joy during a recent major depressive episode. I had the honor of seeing them live in SF this last Halloween on their first show headlining since COVID and it was pure magic. Thank you for always continuing to make me smile
