Someone mentioned these were ahead of their time, oh how I do agree with that sentiment, they were so ahead of every other band, they may have been a part of Madchester scene, but their heads and shoulders above their peers, the Charlatans, Inspiral tribe etc, no group can do dreamy like slowdive, not really, they try but, it falls short every time, but not slowdive, they deliver every time!
@@Mindphaser1 I couldn’t agree more. I discovered the Cocteau Twins in the mid 80s which opened my world up to a magical world of soundscapes I had never experienced before. I feel like they where writing songs ahead of it's time back in the day and now the world has caught up to them somewhat. I think the are perfectly balanced as a band - I think that's one reason they sound just like their records live. I like when they switch things up live too.

slowdive on aime un jours on aime toujours
Slowdive has been in my life for 30+ years now, when I discovered their music, I was a hardcore raver, the Madchester scene was over, and rave music was splitting off in all directions. but slowdive would keep me grounded, even when high as a kite!
I'd say Cocteau Twins are on par with Slowdive.
@@Mindphaser1 I couldn’t agree more. I discovered the Cocteau Twins in the mid 80s which opened my world up to a magical world of soundscapes I had never experienced before. It eventually led me to Slowdive. No words can express the amount of joy and pure emotion Slowdive has provided in the last 30 years.
This might be the best live performance I’ve ever heard
Slomo❤️ I can't forget this amazing song rest of my life.
This is definitely my new favorite type of music.
since this video was uploaded, once in a week i came back to listen to this....
Me: ...Keeps turning up the volume.
Souvlaki was and is still amazing.
Unlike others of their same era, these guys have aged really well! They all still look great. What if there was a plot twist and Rachel & Neil got back together after all these years?
Cathedral of feeling
Rachel was my musician crush back in the '90's......Only saw them live once and was blown away.....Still play their albums quite regularly as I still, ahem, like shoegaze
Slowdive was one of my favorite acts the last year of Sasquatch, which was a crazy tall order.
This version of Crazy For You is incredible
Sugar for the Pill and Slowmo are such great songs.
I LOVE CHERYL WATERS
I'm about the most unlikely fan you could ever imagine. But I love listening to this when I'm heading out into a city full of crazy drivers, in a truck full of dangerous industrial chemicals.
I just discovered them. I can’t believe I never heard there music before. I love it!
I guess better late than never.
Spectacular. A band that should be known more.
Man they created an entire universe.
1st song the opening is just heaven
Nothing beats the KEXP sessions! Always the best sound, the best visuals. What a way to discover a new artist! Thanks guys!
that jazzmaster is one if not the most gorgeous guitar i’ve seen, i’m in love
Intro first song broke me X
I really love it when a band comes back after years and puts out a killer record.
Only just found this 🤭 Gr8 band.
Only just found KEXP 🤭 Gr8 radio station 🥳🎧🎤 Gr8 start to 2021! 👍
their music evokes sm emotion that I sometimes won't listen to them esp. the pygmalion album. it's always such a loaded combination of nostalgia, melancholy, and bittersweet naive joy.
120 minutes will forever be the one that showed me shoegaze and I am grateful to have heard so many amazing bands and that the genre lives on
I feel like they where writing songs ahead of it's time back in the day and now the world has caught up to them somewhat. I think the are perfectly balanced as a band - I think that's one reason they sound just like their records live. I like when they switch things up live too.
Stamango-Metal This. They predicted so much of what would come after them.
Kexp has magicans for engineers...listen to that perfect sound.
Slomo is such a beautiful song, brings tears to my eyes every time I take a road, I say goodbye to someone
Give me your heart
It’s a curious thing
KEXP often has great bands pass thru. I want to live in that studio.
As beautiful as ever. A very welcome return.
I woke up in the Morning the TV still on and i hear this unique Sound on Arte and it was like Magic❤
This is better than the studio version! 😍
Slowdive is an eternal summer
