    Excellent form. Very impressive. I find that technique is nearly as important as strength doing the MU. Stand back from the bar for a bit of swing, use a half false grip (chalk the hands), keep legs straight(as you do very well), if you have to then use a kip at first( bending knees), then that explosive pull up - you need the strength to be able to get high enough. Try not to go hips to bar (or you will achieve the CrossFit kipping MU only). - try to lean back a little but not too much. The key is the ‘launch’ position - getting your shoulders open and arms behind your head/ears at the launch moment. You do this very well - bravo. I am now subscribed.

    I have a question, I recently started doing muscle ups and my hands started to rip off and bleed. This prevents me from practicing often, because I have to wait until it gets healed.
    Is there a certain way we should grab the bar in calisthenics? Or do you have your own way of grabbing the bar?
    Would love to hear your advice

    • @Calixpert
      @Calixpert  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Our please!
      About ripping the hands. Are you drinking enough water? Is your skin dry? What kind of bar are you practicing on. Every person has different risks of ripping the hands, but it's more common to rip in the beginning since you're hands are not used to the movements. If you already have calluses, make sure to take care of them (using like a sandpaper, keep them moistured).

    • @jakemccoy
      @jakemccoy 7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      My hands used to rip. You have to work on your grip strength because you are unable to manhandle the bar. You should be able to do a one-arm hang for 15 seconds on each hand. Also, you should be able to dead hang 2 hands for at least 80 seconds.

  • @jaysysumakaRatMaster3
    @jaysysumakaRatMaster3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    This one movement has injured my shoulder and caused me training setbacks for the last year.
    Always master the basic movement patterns first and build a good quality adaptation in the smaller muscles throughout the shoulder before attempting skills.

    • @Calixpert
      @Calixpert  ปีที่แล้ว +1
