  • HOW TO DO BAR MUSCLE UPS | How to GET YOUR FIRST BAR MU, & STRING BIGGER SETS!
    Hey TEAM!!
Back at it today on this wonderful Monday with a HOW TO!! We know its been a while, but are pumped to be back with these vids!!
BAR MUSCLE UPS! You have to make sure you are away from the bar to have them. Its a slow movement, but fast execution. If you speed everything up you will use that kip to go right into a chest to bar, and wont be able to go AROUND the bar. THE CHICKEN wing effect happens when you are just simply to close to that bar, on turn over. So make sure to hit these drills, and don't rush the process. Make each on look pretty and by the end you will have those BAR MUSCLE UPs!!
Hope you enjoy this one, and we will make sure to get some type of informational vid out every week for you.
    Happy February!
make sure to LIKE/SUBSCRIBE and turn on those notifications. We will make sure to catch you on the next one!!!

You’re actually an amazing teacher!! I say this cause I trained at a calisthenics place a couple years ago and I tried learning the muscle up from them, but was never taught about the progressions with such nuanced teaching!! You go in detail about every movement with the why’s and how’s!!! That’s amazing and goes on to show how good you truly are in this movement!! Huge fan of yours!!!

Super job Kristi and Pat!! I just started getting back to working on my bar muscle ups since my surgery. You bring so much to the table in your explanation of any movement. The rolling of the wrist/hands at the top has never been brought to my attention before. I'm sure it will make my muscle ups more efficient. This past month I have finally achieved the feeling of the weightlessness you describe. I just wish I could achieve that feeling now in a snatch!! Thank you for all you do!!
