4Runner Low-Profile Off Road Bumper - How To Install C4Fab!

- Today we are adding a low profile metal off roading bumper and winch to my Dads 4Runner. HERE is the bumper: www.c4fabrication.com/product... Here in Utah we get a lot of snow on the roads in the winter. And cars get stuck quite often. This winch will most likely spend time helping other people get unstuck.
If you want to know how to remove the bumper on your 2018 Toyota 4Runner TRD Pro this video shows the process. Installing a winch and led light bar on a 2018 toyota 4runner is not too complicated. Especially after watching someone else do the same project first.

When I installed my winch bumper on my FJ, I wrapped those tubes with rubber hose i sliced and zip tied to protect them from rubbing from vibrations offroad. Just a piece of mind.

Gotta love the toyota loyalty haha! I'm undecided what to do for a bumper on my FJ Cruiser. I feel like the stock bumper on my rig doesn't look good enough to invest in something like this, but I love it on both of the trucks you guys have

I am very happy that I found you! It gives me more information to modify my own 2016 Toyota 4Runner. My biggest drawback has been on ow to approach installing electronic's. On an "Old School Car", it was never a problem. Now I have to learn all over again, but that's okay!

Any pros or cons? How is it holding up, Winch on, light bar good, performance etc? I’m looking at doing a similar type install and wanted to get your thoughts if you would have done anything differently. Thanks in advance. Maybe a quick follow up video. Keep up the great work. Looks great, I had one put on a few days ago. Everything good, except today when I went up a driveway into parking lot, there was a light clunk on the passenger front side. I tested it again at a little faster speeds going up and then down different driveways into parking lots etc. Same clunk, thump sound. This is a 2019 trd pro 4runner with only 15,000 on it. Thought I'd ask if you might have an idea of what it is. Bushings, sway bar, something else the auto place didn't do right. Torque not correct etc. It wasn't there at all before. The winch I can see is attached correctly, bumper is in there, everything is bolted down tightly, my skid plate is bolted down tightly etc.

Is the c4 LP bumper’s impact resistance rated higher than the Toyota aluminum crash bar?
with the added steel bumper and winch. did this add weight to the front end. Does it sag down a bit more. Or do you guys have lifts or leveling kits on there.

What size exactly is the bolt you put into the sides? I think you said 19 but I’m having a hard time finding one similar to fit mine.

So by removing the plastic and the rebar you’d changed some physics around. Those impact sensors you saw won’t operate the same. If a vehicle is in a loss and has an aftermarket brush guard or steep fancy bumper we won’t reinstall it because you change drastically the reaction time of the srs system

With the crashbar removed, won't the shock of impact be directly transmitted to the frame and likely cause much more significant damage? A low speed impact might have been absorbed previously prior to frame damage but that might now not be the case?

Your dad should have gotten the Southern Style Off-road slimline Hybrid front bumper instead cause they sell a High clearance side protector that makes the 4Runner look more aggressive looking

I really think you should add some kit on it or maybe also a bull bar and also led headlamps and led taillamps. It would give the truck a much better appearance
