    Awesome video man. It's hard to find one going through the details you've walked us through. Makes this project look much simplier than it could be.

    Thank you for continuing to provide quality detailed content!
    It looks like you are running B-5100’s but are you on stock springs? If so, had any issues?
    I’m about to do the same install (but w/ smittybilt winch) and am a little concerned about the stock springs. From what I’ve read, some say they’ll be okay while some say to upgrade...🤔

    how much does your front weight now with the bumper/winch/lightbar?

    • @amy2brno2b
      @amy2brno2b 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Since he hasn't responded yet, I can offer that, according to the C4 web site the bumper weighs 75lbs., and the winch he's using weighs about 50lbs. I would imagine the light bar weighs no more than 10lbs (I saw a 30" Baja light bar that weighs 6.5 lbs, and it looked a little smaller, so 10lbs is probably a pretty close estimate). Hope that helps.

  • @lowellcrabb151

    Was the winch problem on one of your videos? I don't remember. I bought a Rough Country winch for my 4R so I'd like to know what broke. I did the LFD hidden winch bumper and love the look.
    How do you get to the clutch control on the winch?
    I had the same concerns on that power steering line and ended up bending the brackets toward the radiator and even bent the line itself. Good video.

    Thanks for the wonderful detail. I will be purchasing the C4 in the next day or two. What was your logic on the C4 with or without the bull bar? I like the clean look without and slightly less weight. Any second thoughts on your choice or comments about functional advantage with either the mid or higher bar? I have the 2017 Off Road 4runner, also in white. Thanks again!

    I had that same bumper but with the bull bar when I had my 4Runner.. even bought the C4 low profile bumper for a FJ Cruiser I had but never got around to install it before I sold it. hint hint if you lived closer to Texas Mike I’d let you have it for free.. but shipping to Oregon might be pricey… :)

    • @DrivenCompanion
      @DrivenCompanion  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I considered the C4 bumper for the FJ and decided to keep it stock but if I did it again I'd go with that. I wish Oregon was a little closer to Texas! I'd still consider paying the shipping if you want to see what it costs to 97703 :-)

    • @DrivenCompanion
      @DrivenCompanion  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Very nice! I'd start with some good tires... from there it really depends on what all you want to do with it. Sliders, rooftop tent, winch bumper would all be nice options if you're planning on some overlanding.

    Did you have to put in a front leveler kit? I was thinking of doing this w/ my 21 TRD OR but dont know if it weighs down the front of the vehicle too much.

    • @DrivenCompanion
      @DrivenCompanion  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Given the stock rake on the 4Runner I'd definitely do at least a leveling kit. Mine was already lifted slightly on BIlstein 5100s.

    do you really need to pull the whole plastic front end off? I saw a CBI Bumper install and they do the cutout in place. I ordered a bumper and not sure which way to go. what do you recommend?

      Did you ever get this question answered anywhere else? I’m wondering the same thing.

    • @burronorteno
      @burronorteno 8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@DeLaneyDays he never answered my question but i ended up removing the plastic front end. It’s easier than it looks but take your time so you don’t ruin any of the tabs. With the plastic front end off it’s easier to trim it. It also makes the bumper, winch and light bar easier to install. Taking it off is the best thing to do.

    That remote is cool. I got my c4 bumper about 3 weeks ago and with the same lights. Question… extreme lights website suggest I get the other remote for the lights that we both have. But that doesn’t have the I guess relay like yours in the photo on their site shows. So kinda confused as to which remote to buy. Thank you if you can help.
