I've lost 25 pounds since Dec od last year (8 months) just by cutting out gluten. My arthritis has gone away, and I am less hungry throughout the day. Going gluten free is absolutely a great way to get healthier.

Lol did you hear what they said ?!? Going gluten free can cause nutrients deficiency because it doesn't contain the vitamins B and iron that they HAD TO ADD in wheat. So if you read between the lines, you understand that wheat is not a nutrient dense food but a really poor one so they had to add nutrients in it 😂😅..... And this is true if you make some reseachs online. Going gluten-free cause no harm because it is naturally very very poor in nutrient to the point that after realising that industrie had to step in to reinforced the food with nutrients. Going gluten free will only help you to realise that their is plenty of natural nutrients dense food like vegetables, fruits, fish, meat, eggs, nuts, seeds, legumes etc. that doesn't just fill you in but actually fuel your body as it should be. Wheat is just an easy cheap way to give you a feeling of fulness. That the food for poor people but companies earn tones of money out of this cheap production so they will make sure that you feel like it is an essential in life. It is so abundant in our western cultures that now we think that out of it there is nothing else. But really there is, it is just deception of the mass to see the glass half empty instead of the glass half full. And we are unfortunately all falling for it. There is so many reasons why wheat shouldn't be our main diet and only occasional. Please educate yourself to seek for the truth. Fresh vegetables and fruits are far more healthy. We should rely on wheat only during war times or famines !! Don't deprive yourself from the good real food out there 🙏🏻

In clinical tests, people who were told they were on a gluten free diet (but weren't) claimed to have more energy and less 'bloating'. Those who were on a gluten free diet (but were told they were) claimed they had less energy and more bloating. This was in Consumer Reports back in 2016. It's in your head. It's normal for most people to feel 'bloated' (more full and needing to have a bowel movement) after a meal, especially a large one. The slices of bread have nothing special to do with it. Gluten is protein and makes pizza and bread taste good. It's great for someone on a low carb diet too!

Doctors really need to stop keeping people from living well. A real doctor has to know that there is also something called non-celiac gluten sentitivity. I have great sensitivity, not celiac, to gluten and no diet, simple or not, had made me feel so good after simply cutting out wheat and gluten. Please don't listen to the so called doctors and just test how you do for at least a month without gluten. I'm 100% sure that if you have even a little sensitivity to gluten, you will know it and feel it. And trust me, no doctor, unless they're real serious and committed to health (which sadly aren't many) wants you to feel good, heal any cause of anything. It is not so much the gluten, but the hybridized wheat that was created in the 50s, and began to appear in everything afterwards.
Those who do not have celiac disease or other wheat sensitivity, can still eat, gluten from spelt, and barley, rye, etc.
Even people with no history of celiac, disease or wheat sensitivity, you can suddenly develop it like I did in my late 40s . Once again, the problem is a hybridized wheat.
It is wise to avoid wheat as much as possible and opt for ancient grains instead, and consume them in small amounts. When I do this, I feel amazing. My husband does not have celiac and he also feels great when he avoids wheat and eats spelt and other ancient grains instead.

Listen to Dr. Paul Mason's video about gluten and you will see that even if you dont feel bad from gluten now, it can still lead to autoimmune disorders. The way it works is something like the gluten binds with carbs or carb receptors and get into cells it isnt supposed to go in. This creates damaging metabolites and increases stomach permiability.
When that happens, things can get past the gut and into the bloodstream that dont belong there.
This can lead to the immune system detecting an invader which it can then mistake for a type of your own cells.
You can sewrch this yourself but the overall message is, if you can avoid gluten, you probably should.

The Celiac diet is fattening if we eat lots of processed foods. Over Covid, I was on an ice cream diet and put on a lot of pounds. Now I am "borderline obese". Before diagnosis, I was underweight and scary skinny. It kind of feels good to be fat, but I am on my path to being a healthy weight. Being fat is better than being in pain, I hope.

@cbryce9243 I understand what you mean. For me, however, my body was so depleted for such a long time, and I was underweight. Once my guts started to heal, the weight came on. I eat mostly whole foods and lots of healthy salads and soups. My body thought I was starving it on purpose, so it's holding onto everything. With time, it should even out. It's an expected result from healing. It's a good sign, but it sucks not to fit into any of my pants.

This video is a joke. A real GF diet does not consist of all the prepackaged, processed junk food. You should be eating healthy, whole foods like real fruit and veggies and we get our meat from a local farmer now too. Eating GF junk food is still junk food. (But I do thank God that Hershey bars are Gluten Free, it's a nice treat now and then) As for not getting enough fiber I think the additional fresh fruit and veggies we eat now, instead of Oreos, takes care of that. Again, I have to says "Stop eating junk, processed foods." I have not been to the doctor in 5 years. I stopped going, no help there. 5 years ago I had been to three different doctors, had an invasive ultrasound and nothing. 3 years ago a friend says "go gluten free." I did, it changed my life. I had multiple issues that my mother had. I thought that was just the way life had to be but I no longer have those issues because they are from gluten. Chicken skin, dental problems, rashes, sinus congestion really bad in the morning after eating my mega-dose of gluten foods, severe colds with coughing, (worst at Christmas, of course eating all the junk at parties: cookies, pies, breads) pain in my feet and shoulder (thought I tore my rotator cuff) and heading for diverticulitus like my mom. People, wake up, it's all gone. This is not a fad, it's a better way of life. If you really want to understand how gluten damages the inside of your body and causes the inflammation that causes so many problems, watch a Dr. Peter Glidden video. He explains it all with intelligence and detailed information. And he is against garbage, processed foods.

    • @hewitc
      @hewitc 11 หลายเดือนก่อน

Many of the GF foods substitute rice, which now mainly comes from China. Rice requires lots of water and tests have shown that the water being used contains unhealthy amounts of heavy metals, principally arsenic. Chinese rice has been tested and shown to have small traces of arsenic. The arsenic stays in the body so has a cumulative effect. So that's a negative for many GF products, especially if given to babies or young children.

Gluten doesn't cause only celiac disease but a broad scale of others issues like PCOS, joints pain, head ache, indigestion ect. Often people when they stop consuming wheat for few weeks they can see their symptoms disappear or tremendously alleviate ! Because basically gluten is not a digestible protein that can cause in the major part of people inflammation to the body that manifest itself in a different way from a person to another. So there is more people that have gluten sensitivity than what we know. They just don't know themselves and do with it via medication. But as long as the root cause of it is not removed then it will just keep going and be bound to medication. Because normally the body has an incredible capacity to heal itself.

I was wondering the same....but after making some researches I found out that that the ancient wheats are gone. The wheat we are eating now is an hybrid that contain 10 fold more GLU(E)TEN than it use to be. It was created after war to make it more strong, resistant to climats and bugs. But it got also more hard on digestion. Without speaking of the pesticides and anti fongics they add. That is not digestible in itself for anyone. Added to that, our digestive capacity decrease because gut's flora is completely changed compare to before in consequence of our lifestyle ( stress, too much insecticides, antibiotics, pollution, sedentary, process food etc.)
There is no comparison possible with what it use to be. So yes before they didn't have these issues because their environment and the wheat itself were completely different to what it used to be. Make some researches on it, it is easy to found the answers if you really want to know.

what he does tell you is that wheat is completely different today than it was back then. which is absolutely true. we have modified it to withstand droughts and more. it's harder to digest now.

Doctors should not be advising their patients to up their fibre intake to "prevent" constipation. They're just reading from the same old worn out handbook.

@@ravenswood118 Actually the problem is that processed wheat is too easy to digest. Whole wheats are better because they digest slower and have less sugar shock to to pancreas. The GMO aspect has nothing to do with digestibility. It's what allows mankind to produce enough wheat to feed the population.
