I own a Hero Honda CBZ xtreme (2011). N I love it.
Hero will most probably price it very competitively, on par with the current 160-180 cc motorcycles . If it does so, this motorcycle will sell. Otherwise, deemed to fail.

A good choice for commuter with big engine. But only price will decide.

This bike is not that bad given what it has been designed to do. The problems are its look and the niche segment it is supposedly targeting, is almost non existent in India.
You guys are very optimistic in your reviews I must say. This segment has maxed out and you still give a chance to this last entrant. VFM is probably going to be the only USP for this one.
It's nice bike..and nice video sir..we are waiting in mumbai showrooms for this, don't compaire it with dominar bhaiyo ,160 ki price me 200cc ki bike mil rahi hai with ABS aur kya chahiye , aur iska deaign utna sporty nahi hai , aur nahi kam hai, aur apache aur pulsar 200ns k compaire me power bhale hi km ho looks me bilkul kam nahi hai hero managed everything to bring this commuter +sporty equally ,it's best in 160 to 200 seg

It seems hero is really not in a mood to sell byks beyond 100-125cc , extreme doesn’t like a machine which cld compete with its rival

Hero have to modify it's single seat to split seat and single handle bar to split handle bar because their 150cc Xtreme already has the feature . Why long shakey silencer , change it to small fat stubby silencer . It will help to give good balance and looks of the bike . Rear tire hugger must be needed to protect mud splash in rainy season and give good looks also .
I hope they price such away that people will be forced to choose the bike over anything in the market

Hero always a late bloomer! Jus cos u ask journalists to test in race track or give a monoshock n 200cc engine n name it xxtreemee n add r at end, doesn't mean its a race machine! This is good 200cc commuter bike! Dont gv unnecessary hype!

Hero Moto Corp showing it's inability to produce a good bike since the divorce with Honda. It took them so many years to provide a mono shocks and every design shows some jugar kind of thing which customer keeps on rejecting. When tvs doing magic as far as design and technology goes hero is lacking in innovation. They are just surviving with their rural dealership network which Honda is quickly bringing down the gap. Soon they will extinct.
Pratim Chowdhury I agree hero is really in bad shape, but comparing it with TVS is really bad, TVS has a history of 30 years in Racing, had the best R&D from 2000, they had a head start.
Seriously I don't like that Xtreme sticker/paint work on that bike

This bike is not sporty nor a street fighter , it's just a 200cc commuter , which is not a bad thing in India. Design philosophy is way too outdated but one can by this instead of pulsar 150 UG5 , which is way way too outdated. Clearly bike cannot compet against even Gixxer 155 , hornet 160 & Fz16 / NS160 , because of the lack of looks , but clearly a winner against Honda unicorn , pulsar UG5 and tvs Apache 160.
That stereotype triangular headlight design of the bike kills the look..

What was the point of aking 200 when you can't do it properly?
No 4 valves, no oil cooling, no liquid cooling, no 6th gear, no sporty power, no aggressive looks... then wat else this 200 cc bike is sought for??? They could hav stick to their 125cc class for mileage figures and cost factor.
A buyer preferring 200 cc expects those factors which r surely missing in this bike.

It's funny how manufacturers overlook the already existing benchmark standards.
NS 200 according to me is still the best bet in this segment!

FZ25 only has better pickup than NS & RTR
