Very nice review Dhanil, have noticed a significant level up to the cinematography too. Coming to the kerb weight 148kgs this bike has, I must say the exhaust pipe takes almost 1/3 rd of that credit, which they have taken out straight from a Kirloskar generator and fitted in :D

Inspite of dashing looks, which is appreciable. A lot more changes has been expected : 1. While making a 200cc engine, it should be upgraded with 4 valves instead of 2,along with liquid cooling. 2. Analog - digital meter should have been modified much better. It looks outdated. 3. ABS included, that's good but it's only single channel. 4. Fuel tank capacity remains same, 12.5 L. Which is same as it was in previous version. Should be enhanced. 5. Handle bar should be made more solid, to absorb vibrations when you throttle at higher speed. 6. It offers typical halogen lamps instead of projector headlamps. It could have enhanced the front looks. Ultimately, hero has taken decades to launch a bike with wider tyres, that too have cons. It should consider what customer expect, inspite of making "ANDHADHUN" bikes.

I am a working professional I wanted a bike like this on which I can commute daily in a cosmopolitan traffic and can take it out on weekends. Bike is economical and gives good average. What else I can ask for.
Personal opinion - split seats, clipon handlebars, a better headlight design and a smaller exhaust and this bike would have looked much better. It's okay if hero went for milage over power for their engine but a commuter can look good too, right?

Poor people in here can't see that 200R is going to be a direct killer of Pulsar 180 and I don't think they are targeting RTR200/NS200. Latest generation of Pulsar 180 BS4 already costs between 94 - 96k INR on-road with ZERO ABS support. Yeah it has been a great ride for now BECAUSE it didn't have much competition until 200R arrived. Hero Xtreme 200R with single channel ABS, with more power and more torque and all of that at an attractive fuel efficiency/economy is LITERALLY going to kill Pulsar 180, period. P.S. I own a Pulsar 180 UG3 (2008 model).

Actually it's a Hero Honda Hunk reworked to handle the power of 200cc and it's actually a very good bike. But Hunk didn't got much market in India so they had to use Xtreme name for it. Overall it was a very good bike but more development on the engine department was required (Ex: Oil Cooler, Paper type Oil Filter instead of that old centrifugal filter & Easily removable Engine Oil Strainer). Also, if this same muffler was a bit shorter, it would've looked much better. The Hunk's headlight looked much better than this one though.
Hero changed entire bike market at 1998 yes CBZ is first youthful sport bike. before I love to buy splendor at school days. after long time hero concentrate performance segment and not improved. congrats Hero.
Hero MotoCorp consists of 4 departments. Decal department. Paint department. Bike naming department. Pricing department. Take the same bike. Add or change the stickers or paint it in a new color. Give the bike a new fancy name. And launch it at a different price point.
Design of this bike is very good and appealing.. In my view hero should make it 160/180 with dual channel ABS and 50mileage for Indian Market. Then it could be in competition...

Overall it was a very good bike but more development on the engine department was required (Ex: Oil Cooler, Paper type Oil Filter instead of that old centrifugal filter & Easily removable Engine Oil Strainer). Also, if this same muffler was a bit shorter, it would've looked much better. The Hunk's headlight looked much better than this one though.
The Headlight and the Exhaust pipe is ugly..
Hero changed entire bike market at 1998 yes CBZ is first youthful sport bike. before I love to buy splendor at school days. after long time hero concentrate performance segment and not improved. congrats Hero.

Hero MotoCorp consists of 4 departments. Decal department. Paint department. Bike naming department. Pricing department.
Take the same bike. Add or change the stickers or paint it in a new color. Give the bike a new fancy name. And launch it at a different price point.
Design of this bike is very good and appealing.. In my view hero should make it 160/180 with dual channel ABS and 50mileage for Indian Market. Then it could be in competition...

Anita Kaphalia lol no. Rs200 exshowroom is already 1lakh 25(Bangalore) thousand. Imagine adding 30,000 rto(Bangalore) . It almost comes at 1lakh 55 thousand(on road). Wow that makes the xtreme 200, the most affordable 200cc motorcycle with ABS. It all boils down to its pricing. Fingers crossed.

The design is fairly proportionate unlike 200ns,rtr,fz.bcoz u look from any angle it is good.even the quality &fit and finish.it is decently equipped.after destruction of karizma ,this guy will definitly help hero for a lead in this cateogary.its like a yamaha r3 in this cateogary( hope not be the pricing)
