Perfect colour combination for a much improved piece of art! I love companies which just make good products even better - and these cars are made to be driven. Would love to see a collaboration with Number27, JayEmm or SeenThroughGlass on these cars!
When these cars were first launched back in the mid 70's they were state-of-the-art in terms of power and handling, and although their beautiful Italian styling is ageless and gets better with time, engine power and engine management along with handling and braking have moved on with the times. We totally agree these cars should be preserved as they were when they were new and here at Moto Technique we have most probably restored or repaired to original period correct specification more Dino 246's and Ferrari 308/328 than anybody else in the UK. You must also remember that we are a customer driven business and what we have found is that are customer are demanding classic sports cars, but with modern standards of power, handling, braking and reliability. Its a testament to Ferrari and their brilliant engineering that they produced these wonderful V8 gems of an engine along with the transmission that lend themselves so well to being upgraded with 21st Century standards which make them virtually bulletproof nearly 50 years after they were first produced. It is a pleasure to work on them.
That is an absolutely stunning green. I built a 1/24 scale 328 GTS in a similar color (Verde Zeltweg). What color is this beauty? Is it original or a respray?
Thank you for your comment. As part of the Restomod this car received a respray. The colour is a slightly modified version of a Jaguar Metallic Green which was done at the customers request. We think it looks great.
It's great that your company does such work to the ferraris. To date I think the David Lee Dino evo is sublime 🤗🥰 From a selfish angle, I hope in the future your have the opportunity to breathe your magic over an f355 .....or 348 even. Love your work guys🤗
Thank you. Restomoding Dinos, 308's and other cars from that era is almost a natural evolution and no brainer, where big improvements are achieved in power, handling and drivability. The F355 is a great car dynamically to start with (Even if it is today a 26 year old design) and was under Luca Di Montezemolo leadership, Ferrari's first modern built car that started a new era in the way they built sports cars, which has continued to evolve right up to today. So with a F355 it will be a matter of refining what is already there. the performance jump would not be as great, (A 355 engine in standard spec already produces 111BHP per litre Naturally aspirated) but improvements can always be made in all areas. Remember this service is bespoke to your requirements and it is our job to fulfil them.

We currently have several Ferrari V8 retomods going through our workshop and being a bespoke service each one is different depending on our clients preferred specification. Wheel size is a personal preference. The other cars in our workshop have wheels ranging from 15 - 17 inches.
I completely agree. If you want those massive 360 brakes, you need wheels big enough to go over them. Personally I’d sacrifice on the brakes to retain a more balanced, period look. These look like Image Split Rims F40 3-piece replica wheels. I saw they had a Stratos Group 4 wheel on another car. So many choices!
@@matthewchandler2647 Thank you for your comments Matthew and well spotted on the Stratos Group 4 "Coffin Wheels". As on the Black David Lee Dino V8, we can take any period wheel that in period may only have been produced in 14 or 15 inch versions, 3D Scan it and then by using the latest computer technology re-size them and recast them, for example, to 17 inches. Being a bespoke service it is always the clients final choice as to what they want to do. Some of our restomods when viewed from a distance are virtually indistinguishable from the factory originals, including wheel and tyre choice.
Yes, you are correct. On the original car with regular tyres is was not necessary, but with the wider more modern sticky tyres it's a must. The Power steering is beautifully weighted and is speed sensitive, so you don't really know it's there.
Driver aids, by modern definition, provide a measure of control over the vehicle that the driver would otherwise not have access to. ABS, Torque-vectoring, yaw-control, and traction control come to mind. At minimum, the driver would need four brake pedals and a lever to control the differential to even have access to these types of vehicle controls. Driver aids add new types of input to the car that previously did not exist. The steering wheel is a control the driver already has. Powering it does not change the input or the output that the car receives, it simply lessens the effort on the driver’s arms.
That looks amazing. Beautifully executed. Well done 👍👏. If I had the money I would order one. However, I would "spec" my one with a less radical wheel/tyre combo, too modern. Just have to wait for the lottery win now😩. Keep up the good work👍👏👍👏👍👏👍👏

Sure, but absolutely no Ferraris should be green. Green is totally out of place on Ferraris. This green w/bronze wheels is a 911 spec. Someone should have told him. What a travesty.

Gorgeous, gorgeous, gorgeous. These 308 totally needs an update like this because the originals were garbage. The Pinniferina design is timeless and sexy as hell.
Hi Ross and thank you for your question. Firstly, there is no "Standard" package as each car is unique and custom made to the owners specification. The body modifications to this particular car included Group 4 rear wheel arches to accommodate the wider wheel (This was carried out in mild steel in our bodyshop using traditional panel beating skills) and it has a carbon fibre engine cover and front boot lid for rigidity and weight saving. If a GTO style bodywork was requested this could be accommodated in either Kevlar or Carbon Fibre.
The length of one of our restomod from start to finish will depend on the specification requested, but will typically it takes between 6 and 10 months. Thank you for your question.
Good to see one doesn't need to ship the car off to the US to get it properly restomodded. Interesting colour choice on this one. I would have gone for a lighter shade, like viper green, or blu chiaro turquoise. Nah, who am I kidding, I'd have chosen red. And either 16" QV wheels or those lovely gold Michelotto-spec wheels briefly seen in the video (with more of a taper to the extended wheelarches, rather than the rally-car cylindrical shape). Has the car been lowered to improve the CoG? Does the EPAS provide the same level of feedback as a good hydraulic power steering system and does it deactivate at speed?
Our upgraded engines (3.6 Litre Stage one and 3.8 Litre Stage two) have been totally developed in house are totally reliable and have a proven record of being bullet proof. More power, More Drivability and Totally Reliable.
Ring .......ring ......ring hello Ferrari please remake / Restyled 355 for 2021 I remember riding in with my dads Ferrari 308 GTB was silver but this green shade is sexy
Thank you for your question. Our restomod service is offered as a bespoke service and our clients can have any colour they wish. This particular colour is a Jaguar Metallic Green that has been slightly tweaked too give our client exactly what he was after.
Thank you for your question. Each restomod is unique as it is built to the clients personal specification and the options are endless. A starting point is to already have a car or we can help you find one. Once you have the car, we will go through the options available and accommodate any special requests that you may have. No two cars are the same and can vary greatly depending on specifications and options chose.
Thank you for your question. This is a bespoke service, so you can have whatever you want. This particular green is unique to this car and is a variation that was developed from a Jaguar Metallic Green at the customers request. We think it looks amazing and our paint finish is superb and show this colour off at its absolute best.
Thank you for your observations. Our restomod business is a bespoke service, where we deliver our customer desired specification. All the cars currently going through our workshop are individual and each one is different from the next. Wheel sizes vary from the original 15 inches right up to the 18 inches on this particular car. The car today sits lower, as due to time restrains we shot the film you see here on TH-cam whilst setting up and tuning the engine and suspension for road use. As part of this custom service we are also able to scan original period alloys in 3D that were maybe only available in say 15 inches or 16 inches back in the day and we can recast them using traditional manufacturing methods so that they look absolutely period correct, but they can accommodate larger modern brakes and callipers and wider rubber tyres.
Thank you for your question. The service schedule for our restomoded car is more or less in line with a standard 308. But, due to the greater power and torque, if you drive it to its full potential all the time, then shorter service schedules will be required, mainly oil and filter changes.
Thank you for your observation. This is a bespoke upgrade service and we always cater to out clients wishes. As you can imaging there is some slight tweaking to the suspension depending on the size of wheels chosen, so as to always deliver the optimum ride and handling set up. We would be more than happy to upgrade a car for you with your chosen wheel size. 😉

Nice idea 👍🏼 We'd definitely be up for that.
The cars brilliant, Ferrari man is brilliant also.
Thank you 🙏🏼
Excellent work on this project. Personally i'd go for classic Ferrari red with silver rims and cream Connoly leather uphostery
Inspiring !
Thank you.
Gorgeous, gorgeous, gorgeous.
These 308 totally needs an update like this because the originals were garbage.
The Pinniferina design is timeless and sexy as hell.
You take that back! They are the best looking design!
@@Cre8Lounge I think he meant what you wrote. He was knocking the power, rather than the looks.
Beautiful
Thank you George 🙏🏼
Do you do the GTO-izing of the body? Is that a part of some standard package?
Hi Ross and thank you for your question. Firstly, there is no "Standard" package as each car is unique and custom made to the owners specification. The body modifications to this particular car included Group 4 rear wheel arches to accommodate the wider wheel (This was carried out in mild steel in our bodyshop using traditional panel beating skills) and it has a carbon fibre engine cover and front boot lid for rigidity and weight saving. If a GTO style bodywork was requested this could be accommodated in either Kevlar or Carbon Fibre.
Beautiful colour, is it Verde Pino?
Thank you. It's not Verde Pino although its very close. As this is a bespoke service it is a very particular colour that our client specified.
How long would the conversion take for a similar proyect?
Does the EPAS provide the same level of feedback as a good hydraulic power steering system and does it deactivate at speed?
green and gold .. perfect
Has engine and drive train become more reliable? Is the trans more dependable? Owned one and it broke every time I treated it like a corvette
Our upgraded engines (3.6 Litre Stage one and 3.8 Litre Stage two) have been totally developed in house are totally reliable and have a proven record of being bullet proof. More power, More Drivability and Totally Reliable.
can we buy kits from you like the radiator upgrades , brakes etc ? I am a QV GTB Owner and would love this!
This would put the 308/328 at the top of the Ferrari collectors list. One of the best looking Ferraris made
If the numbers come up I'll have one of these in 1980 Ford Midnight Blue with a Bitter Chocolate Connelly Hide interior.
We have our fingers crossed for you!! 🤞🏼😉

Thank you 🙏🏼
Top drawer indeed.
Thank you 🙏🏼
Real pros!!!
Anyone know the name of the color?
Thank you for your question. Our restomod service is offered as a bespoke service and our clients can have any colour they wish. This particular colour is a Jaguar Metallic Green that has been slightly tweaked too give our client exactly what he was after.
'Tis a great-looking thing
Thank you
This chap is the Michael Caine of Ferraris.
what is the cost of this upgrade? for transform a normal 308 in yours 308 ?
Thank you for your question. Each restomod is unique as it is built to the clients personal specification and the options are endless. A starting point is to already have a car or we can help you find one. Once you have the car, we will go through the options available and accommodate any special requests that you may have. No two cars are the same and can vary greatly depending on specifications and options chose.
@@mototechnique1282 thank you so much
hi, what code/shade of green/brg is the car in pls?
Thank you for your question. This is a bespoke service, so you can have whatever you want. This particular green is unique to this car and is a variation that was developed from a Jaguar Metallic Green at the customers request. We think it looks amazing and our paint finish is superb and show this colour off at its absolute best.
Niece job Kevin
Thank you Björn 🙏🏼
Brilliant
Thank You 🙏🏼
レストモッドなんですね 388とは 色がとても素晴らしいですね
Bellissima !
Grazie Tanto Enrico 🙏🏼😉
bella tutta, anche il colore
Grazie tanto Giorgio 🙏🏼
Gorgeous
Wheels too big, looks like a Hot Wheels car.
I agree. They should have gone for max 16 inch wheels and gone wider, not larger
How does service with an EVO change from original Ferrari specs?
Thank you for your question. The service schedule for our restomoded car is more or less in line with a standard 308. But, due to the greater power and torque, if you drive it to its full potential all the time, then shorter service schedules will be required, mainly oil and filter changes.
This over a new Ferrari today.
And I bet buying a 308 and getting all this done to it still cost less than a Ferrari today.
What is the name or color code of that green
Looks similar to verde pino
Sub'd ! Awesome vid. Keep it up
How much did this full service cost the owner?
fantastic
gorgeous but i think i would opt for slightly smaller wheels... 2-3 inches smaller in fact..
@@mototechnique1282 totally respect that. Everyone has their own taste. I’m so glad that you are modifying these cars which many won’t touch. Great work
