This is a Ferrari 388 GTBi by Moto Technique, based on a Ferrari 308, but this one got a 3.8L V8 with ITB's. I'm gonna be honest with you guys, I've never been a fan of the Ferrari 308, but this one looks just amazing, that color, those wheels and the wide tires match the car perfectly, and that sound with the ITB's is SICK!

The hardtop and wider wheels go a long way, but the 288 GTO is the body style the 308 series should have had from the beginning, one of the most beautiful Ferrari's ever.
That’s why the 288 looks different it’s like the 308 is the ac ace and the 288 is the Shelby cobra take a good looking car and make it look like it will eat you
The 288/308/328 style is one of the best liking cars period. When you think of the word "sports car' this is about what you see in your head.

Absolutely Beautiful! I noticed when he pushed in the clutch to start it that the parking brake doesn't work any better than on regular 308's like mine (ha, ha) d;-)
Absolutely a masterpiece!
The only thing I'd change would be the glass from the hood/bonnet...for one with openings, like in the F40, to allow for some extra cooling and sound.

You look at the styling of the new Ferraris (especially the Portofino) and things have really gone wrong after looking at this 308
Excellent! I thought I was the only person in the world who envisioned a 308 (-ish) Ferrari in dark green with blacked-out trim! I would go one step further, just to be perverse 😎 - make it actual British Racing Green 😁. Honorable mention: The 365 GTB / 4 (hardtop Daytona) briefly seen at the beginning in champagne-bronze is a stunner, also. I believe I saw a listing for this particular car several years ago - if it’s the same one I saw, it has tan-and-black carpets with very dark-red hides. Sort of birthday present you’d buy for your mistress 😎❤️.

Yes, i found it - it is big bore with titanium conrods and bespoke crank.

The colour isn't to my liking. The wheels would also have looked better if painted the original colour.
That is exactly what Ferrari should have built, not the garbage engine of the original 308's.
it wasnt garbage at all. A 3 litre engine with 250hp wasn't bad at all. In fact, back then that was a good horse power per litre. It shouldve been a 3.5 maybe, but the power from that size engine was good.
The 308 engine is such crap...running a 16 in a 1/4 mile. I would have ran a Ford but nice job on the conversion.
The only beautiful thing I saw is Julia. The most beautiful car that humanity has created today.

from public streets in entire EU and Scandinavia :-( In Germany the
Green Peoples Party gave order to shorten fuel supply from 2025
on by reducing all conventional fuel stations to only one state operated central gas
station per city or county. Now they want to slow down all the gas station fuel
pumps from 20 litre per minute to 2 litre per minute...From 2027 on in
the EU certain car spare parts will be banned too....as exhaust systems,
turbo chargers and even some engine and gearbox oils...California and
New York will do the same from 2027 on.... So no investments should be
done in oil burning cars any longer....They even created a new kind of
crime here, called emissions and smoke crime.:-((((
@Sarah T[A]P Me!! To Have [S]EX With Me dont forget China, PRC also dictates the end of use of all combustion cars worldwide. Chinas boss Darth Xi told all politicians that they wont do any business with underdeveloped countries that still allow CO2 emitting traffic, airplanes or combustion based industry after 2030...I am sure USA and UK also will be forced by China to 100% electric traffic because today no industrialized country can afford sanctions by China.... China also decided that their people wont become older than 65 years to to stop their over aging community....what that means you can imagine. We face a new silent mass murder over there. Lets hope that wont come over too.

To each their own. I think it sounds wickedly good. Remember, this is a modified Ferrari. It was 308. However, it now has a 3.8 liter engine. This engine is quite a bit bigger obviously. That is a bigger engine then the all 4 of the 308s successors, the 328, 348, 355, AND 360 Modena. This is why they call it a 388. Also it is 3.8 liter V8 engine on ITBs (individual throttle bodies.), not fuel injection. Cars on ITBs sound drastically different they injected cars, and even some carburetted cars. Most carburetted cars only have 1 throttle body or 2, but not 8. Ferrari never built an engine this size with ITBs Couple all of that to a custom exhaust, and headers and you get a funky sound. So I'm not saying you're wrong, I'm just point out few things to consider.
@@redmr2na Yes, it's a tuned engine and it sounds how it sounds but it just doesn't match the extetnal beauty of a vintage body. This sound would match with a Ford Capri or even better - old Lancia, maybe Stratos.
@@maxd6663 I guess I like it because it gives one of the most under appreciated Ferraris a more muscular sound. I hear more 288 GTO in this car. To me, 308s aways sounded nice, but a bit meek and unimpressive. I like the 308 sound, but prefer the 3.5 Lamborghini Jalpa sound better. The Jalpa sounds more like this.
