Do you guys collect during the winter months?
I've been away from the computer since June 2022. It's literally like a breath of fresh air to be back with you guys. I'm ready to snuggle in for a long Canadian winter in a couple of weeks.
So nice to have over a year's backlog of your videos in store and oh, how exciting, a new channel too! W00t!
Love playing "Spot the Find" Alex. I am woefully out of practice. Adjusting to monocular vision while vicariously mud-larking. There's a wonderful winter ... goal.
Best dust off the vocabulary.
A word for goal or objective beginning with a"W" anyone?
You ladies are fun to watch. Whether it's mudlarking, outside house stuff, animal videos or making things, you're always fun and funny. Thanks girls. You're so sweet.
I've watched you two since you started this channel ,I don't often comment but watch every single episode and love them all .I cannot wait for your collections video .keep on shining ✨️
I absolutely adore your videos!!!! I started watching Abit over 3 months ago and have gone through most of your videos. You have even inspired me to go to a local abandoned psychiatric center, where on a hill there is an old bottle dump! Found some old clothes, some nice cobalt blue bottles, and some old makeup containers. Keep up the awesome work! Love from new york ❤❤❤
Laying around today, recovering from surgery, and you wonderful ladies popped up. You made my day. Thank you ❤
The lord works in mysterious ways. I hope you believe. Get better soon.
I am laying around today battling Covid. So I know how you feel about laying about because of surgery. Hope you recover soon.
I’m recovering from waiting around in the VA Hospital in Detroit for 7.5 hours on Thursday while they ran tests on my Viet Nam vet husband.
I hope you'll quick to heal and have all the love and positivity to give you Godspeed!
@@KatyWatson173 I have done my time at the VA in Ann Arbor. They were top notch in the care… but the paperwork bureaucracy was annoying beyond belief 🤭 My best to you & your family and here’s wishing you a great parking space for the next trip 😉
Yay!! Kind of bored, and I see your video- It made me as happy as you get finding---a bead!!😊
The larking gods certainly wanted to celebrate Alex's birthday! Great finds, ladies and thank you so much for sharing!
Fabulous! A cake topper for your birthday! How appropriate.
I’ve been so blessed!! Just watched the last video of the lost tower diaries only to see a new video of the northern mudlarks!! It’s going to be a great evening 🤗🫠🫠
I love those little cake decorations, the butler, his name must certainly be ‘Jeeves’.
Yeah he’s burnt up a bit,but service must prevail!
He’s my favorite find this time around.
I will be mudlarking in 3 weeks!!
This will be my second go at it,the London tides will be less than stellar during my stay, sadly.
Also,my offer still stands,lovely Gail.
I would marry you!😊🥰
I’m a hard working 52 year old man,I would make a great addition to your home.
Take this as seriously as you like😂
I am quite serious☺️😌❤️
Goodness! You found almost everything on the mudlarks check list! So fun to watch!❤ ❤🇺🇸
The design on the eggcup was beautiful. I was so sad you left it behind
OMG, I'm so happy to come across your channel again! It has been almmost a year since I've seen you last and seeing you again is like finding an old friend.
You two look wonderful, and cheers to you Alex on your recent birthday. Thank you so much my deers for continuing to share with us your sweet hunting adventures.
Cheers to you from St. Louis, Missouri, USA.
Amazing story about the shaving brush. I was excited when Alex picked it up. Thanks for all the amazing history stories.
Happy Birthday, Alex. Such wonderful treasures you both found today. Not gonna lie, I do think Alex found the most amazing today. The whole cake topper. And that shaving brush handle! Gail, I love how your inquisitive mind just has to find the history. “Never give up on your dreams!” 🌈And that at the round up, when all the things are cleaned up and stunning is so much fun! Thank you for taking us along! Love and Light, 🌸V
Happy belated birthday, Alex. I hope your day was fun.
Wow! What an anthrax education! Just love when you delve into the history of your finds! Congratulations Alex on your butler cake topper!!!!! He's awesome❤
Happy belated birthday Alex, hope it was enjoyable for you. Great mudlark this week. Thank you!
Fascinating story about shaving brushes and anthrax. Do you ever worry about picking up unwanted microbes mudlarking? Never thought about that until the shaving brush story. Happy birthday Alex!
I always worry about them touching all that lead. I would imagine a person would have to touch A LOT to absorb it, but still 😳😑
You 2 ladies are after my heart. I love collecting little doo dads and thingies that most people would pass right by or throw out in the trash. Everything has a history whether significant or not. Alex you are beautiful and sweet and any man would be undeserving of you. Thank you again ladies.
Nice to see you both back at the river foreshore have been watching your other channel but you can’t beat a day mudlarking!
Wow, it's our lucky day! Two different videos from our favorite mudlarking ladies. Life is good.🎉
Alex, congratulations on your birthday gift/bucket list find of the whole cake topper figure. It is so stinkin' cute.
I about cried when y'all left that broken yet beautiful egg cup behind. 😢
Finding that shaving brush handle led to you unearthing the fascinating history of the contaminated shaving brushes. Take care and lark on my lovelies. Hello from eastern North Carolina. ❤
Perfect Saturday night viewing. The mudlarkering gods were definitely with you that day. Congratulations on the full cake topper find. He's wonderful. Looking forward to the future collections videos. It will be so interesting to see some of what you have found over the past few years. Thank you for sharing & still being enthusiastic about your hobby. ❤
Some great finds girls.I love the little bottles and the tiny figurine ,cleaned up nice too..Strange finding two white knuckle ones and so many cod marbles together too.Looked a nice day too.Looks like the trees are starting to get a few discoloured leaves, temperatures down too.I think our summers coming to an end sadly. Thanks for taking us with you 🥰
Congratulations Alex on your great find!! ❤🦘
Been watching you from the beginning and I love watching anything you do, your both so lovely, and have interests just like me. Thanks for all your hard work with your videos, I've really been enjoying your new channel too. You have a beautiful home and land, I'd love to have land. I love the fact you have a garden part for flowers and more gardeny type things and then the more rural part where the Oak tree is, that's exactly what I would do. 😊 xx
So interesting the history of that shaving brush. Thank you ladies for another great video! 💐🥰💐
A wonderful assortment this week. Too many great finds to choose a favourite. Love the story behind the brush base. Thank you.
Such fun and interesting finds! Also loving the new channel. I had no idea shaving brushes could bring on such deadly conditions! It’s always fascinating to see where a little find can take us on these truly remarkable stories!
Loved your finds today and going along with you both

As it was just your birthday, not at all suprised that the river goddess granted you a wee doll….I love all your videos on all your channels so very much. The visuals are so fascinating and the music is magical…Blessings to you always…
I think that was what I would call a stink bug, some species bite.
Ah, the river gave you a wonderful birthday present!! Happy Birthday Alex!
Aww glad to see how happy finding a full one is amazing well done best wishes 🎉for the other day thanks ladies as allways 😊🥰
The first metal piece is the receiving end of a slide latch.

A double feature tonight, what a delight 😊
Please amaze us soon with your vast collections! And while I can only speak for myself, I would watch days on end of your collections!
You have a lovely voice, Alex. I love the nature shots and the music that you creatively add to your videos. I would love to see how you go about cleaning all of the various items you find, as it will be a different method depending on the material. You might think this would be boring, but nothing you ladies put out could ever be boring! I love your new channel Lost Tower Diaries just as much as this one.
I can't wait to see the video on all your finds you found over the years. Loved the video😊

Pass the sick bag😮
🤢 ew
Beautiful finds guys. Just love them all.they are so cool. Love your videos so much. Always waiting for your next ones.
Another great treasure hunt! Loved it! Thanks so much 🙏 😊 ❤
Great finds and great story about anthrax! I work in Microbiology lab and whenever we have a Bacillus growing in a culture, we have to make sure we rule out anthracis. We perform all the testing under the biosafety cabinet untill we prove it's not B. anthracis. It always turns out not to be.
Could the brass cross be a button? SO glad to see the mudlarking gods blessed Alex for her birthday!
Can’t wait to see the full collection.

A beautiful lark..its like taking a trip in person with you! Love the little metal bits and the Jack stones..it's great when you get a bucket list like that topper Alex..and it's so charming you left those slate bits in the wild for the wee folk to read.❤
Your channels are wonderful and I love watching them! I am so happy for you Alex! The little mane is cute as can be! I know how great it feels when you find a treasure that you have looked for a long time. It makes it all the more exciting! Please be careful and stay safe! ❤❤

Great finds ladies and the history attached to such mundane items as a shaving brush always blows my mind thanks for sharing your adventures with us Karl from Canada
🎉Happy Birthday Alex 🎂🥳🥳🥳🥳
I never miss a video lovely ladies‼ Thank you for taking us along on your adventures & sharing the interesting history as well. Always a joy❣
Thank you!des superbes trouvailles,un bon moment!!!
I love watching your videos. 🎉🎊 Yay for finding a whole cake doll.
I love looking at all the items cleaned and displayed at the end. It was abit difficult to see them on the dark wood and with the reflection on the wood.
I love the little glass bottles.
So many lovely treasures to make things out of. 😍👏💃
Love getting history from random finds and absolutely love cod marbles.
If you guys ever do something like a Mudlarking workshop in the future, where we hunt with you and whatnot, I’d be the first to sign up! I’m just outside London and unless you pay for the mudlark pass for London, you rarely find such gems! I’ve not even found a rusty pipe bowl 😩
Don't smush the shield bug. They are not so affectionately called stink bugs in the US. An invasive species that torments us throughout fall and then some. Congratulations on your wee butler find Alex!
Stink bugs are taking out orchards along our east coast, hence our lack of affection for them. They prey on tree sap and are causing all sorts of headaches.
I used to like them because they're, otherwise, very docile and nice little guys! But they procreate like crazy AND invasive....
I am in Arizona and we have stink bugs here too. I love watching you ladies, take care.
Hope you had a great birthday Alex.
Some lovely finds keep up the good work thanks for sharing your finds with us ❤
Iv'e found 2 of the metal things with the cross on but i can not remember what they came of.stay safe..VIC..
As you were examining the small spoon, I spotted an ammonite fossil below your hand.
Happy birthday Alex
Thank you ladies , and a belated birthday Alex. ❤
Fabulous finds and interesting history about shaving brushes.
Happy Birthday🎉
Just watched you other channel video...and now a bonus!!❤
I think this foreshore is one of my favourite places you lark at ladie. There's always such interesting finds you seem to get when there. The little cross was very interesting. I wonder what it came off. It was certainly a pretty little thing. It straightened out really well.
Eeek, that shaving brush history was very disturbing. I never knew they used to use badger fur for shaving brushes. My grand fathers were traditionally black/dark coloured roots and white topped fur, so i can see that was probably why. Not badger I'm presuming, but made to look like it.
Definately a time to grow a beard. 😬
Congratulations on being listened to by the river gods. They certainly gave you a lovely birthday gift Alex. A little belated, but hey...no complaints at finding that butler cake decoration. He was a fab find.
I'm looking forward to seeing some of your collections. Especially the morning buttons. I love those little beauties so much. There's so many different ones. A lovely item to collect. Even though they were bought for such sad occasions. Are you displaying them at all, if so...how. They really are too pretty to be hidden in a draw.
Though I've just remembered that pretty stamp draw you got. They would look lovely in on of those draws, with a plain coloured material of some sort, to lay them on.
I'm also intrigued as to what your doing with all the pretty glass pieces your doing a project with. Lots to look forward to. Thank you ladies.
Very nice. I love watching your videos. Thank you.
Love it when you find something from the bucket list
I suspect Anthrax spores are very resistant to the usual sterilisation methods, which probably explains the tragic case in Hull. Interesting history. Great video as always. ❤
I swear Alex, you have eyes like a hawk to see the smallest beads! 💐🎉
Beady eyes, in the nicest possible way!
Thank you. I always look forward to your videos.
Yyyyeeeehhhhaaaa!!!! Scratch that boy off the bucket list This was fun
❤️✌🏼🤟🏼🖖🏼😎
I've already watched your lost tower for this week. This seems to be the highlight of my week thank you I love watching you women work together it means something special to me. My Swedish grandma and mother taught me to be self-sufficient so I see you guys working it reminds me of them thank you
