I still can’t believe how much your videos bless me. I love seeing the old designs of the things that were made in history. I get such a rush, and gives me healing in my soul. I told you your videos were important to me. Thank you so very much for not stopping.
Your videos are so calming and easy to watch. I can’t say the same for others. I love these types of larks when so many very cool treasures are found that it makes me want to jump on a plane and go with you larking.
Just amazing I love it. God bless you from Idaho.

I just wanted to take this opportunity to say thank you for all your efforts and for the wonderful program you make which I have been blessed to watch every week I look forward to every episode of yours (also Sifinds and Nicola White). It is literally the only thing I watch other than sports on TV. I especially feel attached because (forgive me but) It seems I have watched Alex grow up on you tube over the years. Anyway, from across the pond in Canada, Thanks Gail and Alex for all you do. Have fun out there :)

Fun Lark Ladies! I loved the blue marbles. When I was working at a Donut Shop in early 1970s a handsome fellow at the drive-up window @ 4am his radio playing "Take it Easy" by the Eagles.❣Hold on I am getting to the point! I commented on his lovely necklace. He said it was his teeth from babyhood/childhood/early adulthood saved & he strung himself. WOW I waited a long time to share that wee story. I hope it brought a smile! 🤟from California❤

Well now ladies, the Bartman jug piece could easily have been a prized jug handed down through family after family, until one day it got dropped and smashed. Ending up in the bin. Absolutely anything could turn up at a dump. Things no longer thought of as of any use or value. Only to be found now and though of as real treasure.
I even recognised that grumpy face part instantly. I think they are fabulous and I'd be so delighted to find a full face...I've seen it happen, so i know its posdible. To have a full jug....well envy is a bad thing. So they say. 😅
I loved all the things you found. The marbles were so pretty. Someone's prized marbles at one time. It quite boggles my brain to think of all the wonderful things which people throw away. Its finding those special interesting things that's the hard bit.
Thankfully some days are filled with larker's luck and you come home with some cracking finds. Which makes me happy. I look forward to your next adventure and always the makes.
Thank you Gail and Alex. X

Another interesting find was the odd fastener. It is like those attached to a suspender belt for holding up nylon stockings pre tights. There were usually two each side and would have had a soft button type attachment behind it and you would trap a bit of your stocking top between the two parts.

That was great fun - especially the bonus "Ditch Dig" at the end! 🤣🤣 The marbles were marvelous, the sherds were sublime, the bottles were bodacious, and all the copper pieces were capricious and unexpected. 🤣🤣🤣 But that Bartman beard... I blurted the name out just seconds before you, Alex. It surprised the heck out of me, because, until that moment, I hadn't realised how much knowledge I've acquired by watching mudlarking videos! 🤯🤣 I'm looking forward to seeing all the craft videos that may turn up - sometime. 🤣🤣🤣🥰 Thank you for all your effort in producing these videos. See you next week. 😊😘🤗💖👍

    Dear lovely Northern Mudlarking Ladies.
👍👌👏 Congratulations for a lot of beautiful and/or interesting finds. It is a very well done video again and as always. By the way: Since some episodes I wonder if Alex is singing some of the songs. But unfortunately I cannot find anything about the music in the descriptions. So it may stay a guess. 2) You won't believe how happy I was to see the little broken perfume bottle at the roundup. I definitely thought that you would leave it behind. I instantly thought that it would make 2 great Christmas tree or window decoration pieces if cut and ground. Or maybe even 2 pendants. 3) Because I love nearly anything that is green, I would definitely have taken the little green dropper bottle. 4) Somehow this time all the shiny well cleaned copper metal pieces stuck out. Especially the thick rod and of course the beautiful logs Intrigued me. 5) The wristwatch wasn't mentioned and therefore I think it was gone too far.
As always: Thanks a lot for making teaching explaining recording editing uploading and sharing.
Best regards luck and health in particular. To both of you of course.

I was going to comment this also. It looked like the top of an enameled kitchen table or a backsplash panel of some sort. In the US at least, the tables were quite common and often had painted designs on top, stripes and florals. That one had super nice florals and I would have taken it!

Hi Alex, here is a bit of information about the little button you found with the red pattern on it. It is what is known as a "China" because of the clay and the process in which is it made. This is not only what is known as a "China" but a "China Calico" button. The making of these types of buttons were labor intensive and very slow as they were made by hand. I'm a button collector and there is a ton of information about them, but I thought you might rather enjoy doing the research on it. The National Button Society as well as many other Calico collectors have cataloged the series of each pattern of these tiny treasures.

I like to see what you two find. Happy hunting. I'm glad you kept the broken but fancy bottle. It's so pretty.

Hello both, I find it amusing that you found the little blue bourjois bottle. I found 1 last year in my garden. Only the other day I finally looked it up. Mine still has the lid on so I could just get a faint musky whiff from it.

That tool was a hay claw! You would put it between your fingers and grip it to pull hay bales:) it was a great tool when moving lots of hay bales :)

You could glue the glass bottle stops together to make intresting suncatchers. Sort of snowflake style. Each one dofferent
