I have a chronic disease and i am housebound - i have been following all your videos but i particularly love seeing you at home I miss outdoors so seeing you working together makes me so happy.Thank you. 😀
I love gardening my first Job was working in a green house when I in 4 grade works for him for 8 years until he died back in the 60’s he taught me a lot.❤
My thoughts while watching Alex pulling things out of the pots reminded me of my mom's favorite quote. "Where there is a will there is a way." Being a home owner of any house is a full time job. I can only imagine taking care of your house and grounds.
We live in a small cottage with a hundred foot garden and I find that hard enough, can’t imagine how you both manage but you do and are making a very good job of it x
We admire people more that take care of what they have, than those who complain about what they have not being worth taking care of. Thankx for the upload
Dear lovely Ladies of the lost tower. 👍👌👏 This is such a wonderful video, nice and calm. I absolutely love the harmony between you two. By the way: Alex, your singing is simply angelic. Additionally you performed one of my favourite songs. I'm eagerly looking forward to watch a series about the modification of the little room. A sink and shelves etc. are reasonable will be quite helpful. Thanks a lot for making explaining recording editing uploading and sharing. Best regards, luck and health in particular. To both of you of course.
Your work on the house & grounds is never ending. Each project leads to another project. I wonder if you will plant a garden under Chicken Wire? so you can have more than just letuce.. Good Work! ~ I put house plants in bird cages to prevent my cats from eating them & getting sick. It Works!
The flower, plants and yard look great. Your hard work is showing. Your back kitchen and craft rooms will be just as great soon. Thank you for sharing!
That Alex singing?! It's lovely! I look forward every week to watching both videos - Northern Mudlarks and this one. Keep up the good work ladies .... you're awesome!
@@fairyacorn4854yes but there was an original white Schwoo who sadly went missing leaving brown Schwoo lonesome… hence Alex bought some eggies for brown Schwoo to sit on and hatch! 😊
I can fully relate to these videos. The hard work you guys do is incredible. I have renovated 100 year old houses and gardens. Then they put my rent up so I gave up 😅. Now I just like collecting old things and reviving them like furniture, handbags and all kinds of things that I find. ❤❤❤ love you guys 😊. Your doing an excellent job
You're both amazing and your home is gorgeous. So many rooms and so much land is incredible but no doubt also means a lot of work. I love both your channels. Rachelle, Australia x
Very well-done ladies absolutely brilliant getting things done and you are definitely making you beautiful home look better atleast your doing all the things you weren't able to a little wile ago I think you ladies are a brilliant team your home is looking so much better talk about make improvements you shaw are doing a fine JOB AMAZING GREAT JOB LADIES ABSOLUTELY BRILLIANT ❤❤😊😊from cal in Hertfordshire England 🇬🇧 🎉🎉
Hi Gail and Alex, you are both so hard-working. I have never seen a mother and daughter quite like that before. I love the closeness you share. That spare room will be great when done. Perhaps some paving right around the house might help the damp as well. Just a thought. Thanks and love to all.
Glad you put another vid out Gail and Alex I love the mudlarking ones but these lost tower ones bring my childhood memories back of visiting my Uncles farm in Yorkshire. I have always loved this style of living the country air comes through the screen. Loving so much what you do.
The rearrangement of trees and flowers are hard enough, but you ladies do everything! I remember my dad always getting me outside to help him take can of some small projects when I was around 10 years old. Back then it was fun learning from him, but when I started in my teens he would always tell me to remember the lawn. Don’t forget the weeds around the house. Don’t forget we will be cutting branches off shrubs and bushes all around our yard. 😮 Boy, by the time I was married and out of the house, I was happy. Then I found out not only did I go and help him on the weekends, I also had to do my own property. My ex- husband wouldn’t do anything. Great work ladies! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️💜
Little tip on the lettuce if you have any Copper wire then put around the outside of that pot, slugs hate it, failing that, glue old copper coins around or on top of rim. The little room will be so handy when done as well, xxxx Love this new channel so subbed and thumbs up, xxxx Dede
Ladies a little tip. Before taking an old plant out of a pot...water it first. That way the roots release and the dirt becomes soft making it easier to remove from the pot.
My house is only 93 years old and quite small. It keeps me very busy, though. Your old house will keep you in project for a long time. Enjoy the charm of it. Blessings!
I watch with much admiration all the work you are doing on your property! Alex, I was right there with you when you said you are going to put the cow’s jaw in your room. Yes, I said, I like that too!🌻🌹🌺
You borh are doing such an amazing job,in your garden.I absolutely love what youre doing.Such a beautiful place where you live❤All the hard work will pay off in time.
Its always nice to know other people have a junk room too. Nice to see you pot up the roses and give the lettuces a new home in fresh compost. I hope they serve you well. Well done girls keep up the good work. Love to all.
I love how hard working you & your Mother! Everything you do turns out beautiful so it’s worth the hard work! My favourite thing ever Is your beautiful Peacocks 🦚 l love them ❤
I think putting veggies into a cage to deter animal incursions is brilliant. I don't know whether I would have thought of that (perhaps because I haven't done much gardening), but as soon as I saw Alex setting it up I knew exactly what her purpose was. 👍
@@domenicas.2645 - It kind of looks to me like the Shwoos' heads might fit through there too, but Alex is smart, I reckon she would have thought of that. 🤔
Perfect room for a laundry. Hope there is nothing on the other side of the wall where the shed is that isn't letting the wall breath. Might be worth looking into a drain along the outside of the wall too
If you put a French drain around the back perimeter of the back kitchen, it wicks away moisture from the foundation. It's most likely the same amount of labor, just need to buy the pipes and cheese cloth and get the drainage angle correct.
Looks like the stone walls of the secret room are covered with cement , thus not allowing the stones and plaster to breath. It's worth researching before putting in effort and money. Your videos are so relaxing and your home so beautiful thankyou.
I have been meaning to ask you, Alex, if you sing the songs that play in some of your videos? If not the girl that sings sounds very much like you. You girls have the hard working gene! Talking of cleaning out the shed, we have to do our garage. I think in the next couple of weeks it will be cool enough to get in there and get it organized again. Have a lovely week and thanks for sharing.
Lassies, you are my fav vids at the moment.... I can't wait to see you make full use of your back kitchen...as always huge huggles from falkirk central scotland ❤
Sharon here... the cage lettuce planter was a fabulous idea! I love flowers of all sorts, but the rose garden will be a highlight to your garden setting! ❤☺👍
Putting the lettuce in the cage is a great idea. I will try that, i have deer. In another video you had plastic pots, another good reason, is can hold the water longer. Where i live thats a plus.
It’s been many a year since I heard anyone mentioning a ‘back Kitchen’. I suppose they’re ‘Laundry rooms’ now. We always had a kitchen and back kitchen.
That back room would make a brilliant mud room too so you can take off your muddy boots and coats and not get mud in the house though as it is a farm you might already have one
Lovely video. You are so resourceful I am looking forward to your conversion project. I've learned a lot about re potting plants by watching you. A beautiful place to call home. 😊
Man oh man…That is some gorgeous country where you live. No wonder you’re both always so happy.
ABSOLUTELY love watching your videos!!!
I have a chronic disease and i am housebound - i have been following all your videos but i particularly love seeing you at home I miss outdoors so seeing you working together makes me so happy.Thank you. 😀
i hope you can get out a bit, somehow.
I'm also housebound from chronic illness and channels like this keep me sane! I hope you have some better days coming your way soon
Hi Alex and Gail your a super team 👍
I love gardening my first Job was working in a green house when I in 4 grade works for him for 8 years until he died back in the 60’s he taught me a lot.❤
You both have great teamwork and obviously get things organized and finished. Loved watching the secret bedroom being sorted.
You ladies sing beautifully. 🎶🎵🥰
Thank, but it's not us singing x
Thank you so very much for a most enjoyable video. 🌸💕
Every video I watch makes me realize how lazy I am! Good job ladies 🦚
Great little room to fill with bottles ☺

Yes, Alex and I had quite some trouble wrestling with that poor tree and rose 😅
You ladies never cease to amaze me! Your videos are so interesting and I look forward to each one!! 💝💝

Love the Simon and Garfunkel song. One of my favorites
We love it. It’s a cover of a very old tradition ballad from North East England. Although they pronounce “Scarborough” incorrectly 😅
A lot of work but I think the back kitchen will look lovely and be very practicable

Is that you ladies singing? It sounds like your voices. I wouldn't doubt it as you ladies can do anything and do it well. Love this channel.
I want to play lol. Retired master painter and I love this kind of stuff 😊❤

I love the wire cage to protect lettuce. Ingenious idea!
Love this channel, it’s down to earth, not pretentious at all and breath of fresh air. Thank you gals, well done, lots of hugs from Airdrie, Canada.

the pet cage idea is brilliant! We have squirrels and they wipe out our veggies.

I need a Cow Jaw! I love it that Alex said that. Love your music and this channel. You two ladies are great.
The shwoos are so beautiful together in their little family, it really warms my heart. So glad White Shwoo isn't alone anymore, poor dear.

I just love your home. A work in progress. Will be very lovely when your done
I thought it was funny when Alex said she wanted to keep the cow jaw!
But, mom, I need a cow jaw! Its very important. Gotta love quirky Alex😂

Thank goodness that there are two strong women living in your home or nothing would get done!
Isn’t it ironic that watching you two labor relaxes me?! I am loving this channel!
You can use the parrot cage to put vegetables into as well!
Oh! I’m looking forward to the back kitchen evolution.
Save your money , don't go to the skip just throw it over the back fence!! Gail and Alex of 4089ad. will love to find and reuse.

I put old bird cages over my seedlings. The possums here in Australia will decimate any seedlings overnight. Even chilli seedlings.
Perfect room for a laundry. Hope there is nothing on the other side of the wall where the shed is that isn't letting the wall breath. Might be worth looking into a drain along the outside of the wall too
I love these videos. I especially loved the song Scarborough Faire... Scarborough is my maiden name. 😊
I have to congratulate you on your contribution to compost sales this year! 😁
Oooh that squeaky barrow. Mine was like this once and I couldn't find the oil anywhere,so I put a dollop of petroleum jelly on it. Yay. Bingo. Lol 😆
