I just thought of an amazing possibility?...maybe you could make charm bracelets with the small bits and bobs? You could call them River Lark Charm bracelets
I think this was my fav episode. So addicting seeing one sieve after another full of goodies. The green bottle must go on the window! I have an idea: why don't you gals set a tiny fairy table with all the child's cups and lids as plates. It would be charming with a handkerchief table cloth, little flowers. Can't wait to see the jewelry you make!!
I'm a rock hound and I get so excited watching you both scavage for all these neglected little wonders from the past.... my ancestors ie great grandmother, were avid pottery collectors.... they were immigrants from England and Scotland to my home New Zealand. Thank you for sharing your enthusiasm and treasures... delightful!🏤🌞
"It's a BEAD!" Fun words to hear! The sifting experiment was a success -- please do more. The Jubilee medals of Queen Victoria were fascinating. Thanks for another great adventure. xx
What a haul!!! Loved the panning! Crazy how much goodness is hiding in a few scoops of soil! I vote for the Jubilee commemorative coin for the window. Thanks again for taking us along with you🥰🥰
Firstly can I say another extremely enjoyable and informative video Ladies, as usual. Secondly I would like to nominate mini frozen Charlotte for the Window. And finally I would like to thank the pair of you (and Tom Burleigh) for taking me back on a nostalgic trip to my Childhood and early teens. I was born in Newcastle (65 years ago)and lived in Tynemouth for the first 4 yrs, then moved to Chester le street for a couple of years and then Guisborough in Cleveland (Old North Riding of Yorkshire) and so many of the places you and Tom visit were favourite spots for me when younger. So Thank You and please keep those memories Flowing.
Thank you very much! We too are both from the north east. I (Alex) was born in Hexham and mum was born in Wallsend. We’re so horned to have the opportunity to share our history with people around the world ☺️
The claw pipe or the jubilee medal for the window as they are really unusual finds. Thanks for all your fun and hard work. Love the cod marble light idea perfect.
@@NorthernMudlarks As always, an enjoyable video from you two lovely ladies. As we say in the South, y'all made out like bandits on your river lark! You always put a smile on my face when I watch your video escapades. It's so calming to watch your videos after a long and hectic shift at work. You make me wish I had the opportunity and talent that would allow me to do what you're doing and earn a living doing something I could enjoy. Thanks for letting me and all the rest of your viewers tag along with you. I do have one friendly suggestion though . . .when you're doing your intro and/or outro, it's not always easy to hear what you're saying over the music. Just sayin'. 🤷 🙂 Y'all keep finding treasures and enjoy your time with each other. Love and greetings from New Bern, North Carolina. 😃🥰🤟 Oh yeah, almost forgot; I nominate the claw and egg pipe bowl for the windowsill honors, along with the Queen Victoria commemorative medallion.
So happy to see you both and finding such amazing things! Hope you had a good pot of homemade soup and yummy bread to get warm and cozy! Stay safe and well!
Oh boy - I was just like you two!! "Just one more time." Thank you so much for this week's lark. I was enthralled the whole time. In the round-up I saw a gorgeous copper disk, which appeared to be the remains of a clock mechanism, or some such thing. That's my choice to go in the window. 2nd would be the Queen Victoria commemorative medallion. 3rd would be the tiny frozen Charlotte. Hope you are both well, and staying safe. See you next week.
What a brilliant idea to sift the dirt!! I could have watched you do that all night!! (But I was in a warm house!) Love watching you find all of your treasures!!! Thanks for the entertainment!
Your dedication paid off! You are so lovely & I never miss a video. Thank you for all the history you provide & all the hard work you put in to take us along on your adventures. ❤❤
My hands were aching just from watching Alex sifting in that frigid water. Brrr. Way to take one for the team, ladies!! There were so many fantastic finds this week that choosing for the window was a chore. I kept having to go back to the footage of the table to weigh out all the options. I choose the claw pipe, the jubilee medallion and the teeny tiny frozen Charlotte. I loved the story about the young American tourist celebrating the captain’s birthday. Wonderful research! Thank you. ❤️
Hello! Some of you have mentioned a problem with the sound on Gail's mic. This may only be experienced if you are using headphones - the sound seems ok from our end. We have a new mic so hopefully any new videos will be ok, but any videos already recorded may have the same issues xx
I look forward each week to your uploads. i can sit back and truly relax as I go on an adventure without leaving my arm chair. I think the pudding doll should be the newest addition to the window.
That pyramid is very pretty. I imagine it will look amazing lit up! Wet-sifting is a great way to look for finds and sieves are used by archeologists. It was fun watching you try it out. 😊
Amazing haul. Your excitement is so infectious. Love the lighting idea with the cod marbles can't wait to see the outcome. I reckon those marbles would also make a great solitaire game if you could put them on a wooden board. Look forward to your next mudlark
You both work very hard, Gail and Alex! Wonderful finds…lots of little cottages to be made from all the pipe bowls! I hope the tiny frozen Charlotte ends up in the window with the little soldier.
The seaside revealed so many interesting things or should I say treasures! You never know what your next find is going to be and it is always exciting to look at your new adventures!!
You lovely ladies make my week ❤ I vote for the Victoria medallion and the claw pipe bowl. Brilliant idea Alex to pan the soil. I'm looking forward to seeing that in action in the future 😀
The sifting was a fun marvel! in the window the soldier from the sifter and the claw and knobby pipe bowls! Thank you ladies you both are amazing women!
You both are such a wonderful team, and there’s always something new to see in your videos. I really enjoyed the pan strainer, you really found a lot of cod marbles with it. I think the two Hand blown German marbles should go into the showcase window. I had a wonderful time watching this video, and I can hardly wait to see what’s in the next one. Take care and stay well !
Hi ladies, a very fruitful or should I say marble full trip! Panning for treasure was a great idea turning up things from the earth. I think the claw pipe should go in your window. Thankyou for letting us go along with you and share the fun. Xxx
Oh! How I love that square green bottle. Gail the frozen Charlotte is so special. What a good day. And Alex those medal "coin" objects are great...something new! You did really well on beads and marbles too. Thank you both.
Oh Alex…when you found the broken bottle stopper, there was some sort of heart-shaped clay thing just to the right and above the stopper…I wish you had grabbed it, I’d love to have seen what it was! Awesome finds though, and I enjoyed watching you sifting…that was quite fun! The frozen Charlie gets my vote to join the window sill bunch

I’m an Aussie mudlark and I found two bopple stoppers and some uranium glass, plus some doll parts! Keep it up, you two! Also, consider bringing some safety pins of varying sizes to store beads on. I clip them to my shirt hem. :)
The tiny frozen Charlotte has to go in the window somehow! That's just amazing that it's that small yet in tact. I love it! I loved the sifting. That was fun. Yall found amazing things today as always. Keep saving history. Thank you for posting.
That was so much fun! When I see the pipe bowls, they remind me of a taper candle holder. Maybe you could cobble some onto some kind of base for a wacky wonderful candelabra. Lol. Thanks for sharing all that you do. ❤️

Not using headphones. Can barely hear Gail..
The sound is coming mainly from the left channel so the right speaker/headphone is quiet. Maybe just rebalance it in editing. 🙂 great video
