As many of you are confused about my comment about it being the first day of summer - here's the reason: It is spring, but I made the remark because we filmed day after the clocks went forward in the UK on the night of the 26th of March. From that date it's known as British Summer Time (BST) until they go back again in October xx
Just want you to know, I’ve added tons of views to this channel. I turn it on every night when I fall asleep and no it runs all night. 😂 hope it helps!
Absolutely lovely film xx you should stick your stopperbottles to different sized sheets of glass and hang it up so the light shines through, what beautiful rainbows it will make xx
You found lots of my favourite type of bottles on this lark ladies. The tiny ones are so appealing to me. As are the tiny stone ware. The colour of that little pale blue ink was 👌 as was the star find of a full dolls head! Amazing. I'm so looking forward to seeing her restored to her former toothy grinned, little doll self. Its was so lovely to see her full head appear out of the soil. If only her arms and legs could have joined in. No such luck. A really good larking day out for you both. It was a beautiful day. You must go there again soon. Xx
Sorry she passed in January. We got some of the dolls . I have one for both my granddaughters and my new great granddaughter. Hope these dolls will be around for 100 years too. Love from Georgia USA
I dearly love watching you both! Other treasure hunters are only after metals or bottles or diamonds. Your choices are so beautiful . Such lovely colors and the beautiful memories of days long gone!
Glad it’s not just me. I think they mean start of British Summer Time maybe? As in, the clocks have gone forward to BST from DST? The season is still spring though which is part of the confusion.
I love watching you guys you both are so beautiful!! And...... Your voices are very soft and beautiful as well. Thank you for your videos I love watching them!!
Muriatic Acid Takes away calcium and lime deposits and it used to clean shells, stone and crystals. Try soaking the bottles in it, outdoors where there is ventilation and wear gloves,. It should clean the sick on glass. Wonderful finds! Love the blue glass and a amazing pipes! and I love the bun hair pin! Amazing Doll head!
Great day and cool finds ladies congrats on the dolls head with your creativity she will have a great new life.looking forward to next weeks treasures Karl from eastern Canada
You could cut the end off that coconut and use it as a plant pot with ready made drainage holes! A lot of impressive bottles there. Lovely old gnarled elder trees there 😍 For the doll head, you could try refining nettle fibres for the hair, in-keeping with the bottle dump theme! Wow! That old table saw needs a home 🤔
Congratulations on finding Summer and I can’t wait to see her whole again. Awesome day of finds in such a beautiful place. Take care and thank you for sharing 👍🙏❤️
Hello 👋 from New York USA you Guy's found Some Amazing Finds my Favorite Definitely Was the Porcelain Doll Head Thank you for Bringing me Along with you I can't wait to see What you Guy's find next 😊
Absolutely loving this video and looking forward to seeing the doll all finished. Gail I'm sure you will do an amazing job on her. Sending love to you both❤
You find many fair sized slates. It would be interesting to do an accent wall if you collected enough. A sufficient amount to fit above a chair rail would give a vast effect for a more modest quantity of slates. Both sides could be made into stripes or checkerboard patterns to show the different uses. The slates have enthralled me ever since I started watching you. Thank you for bringing them to our attention.
🤩I cannot wait to see the progress and to watch that doll come to life. 👶 I have done that work piecing together dolls. I could sew whatever I wanted. I was fearless back then. One doll had angora hair. My angora goat grew 5"to 8" curls that I had been primping on for months. The curls were cut and sewn with wire and care. I am sorry to talk so much. I am just an old and lonely lady. I love both of you 👍❣
Beautiful day out for a Lark . Yeah for the whole dolls head . All the finds were great and you both are great to watch . Be safe and see you soon . 💥💫🧡💛💚🤎💕
Great video again, looks an amazing dump. Congratulations on finding a whole dolls head, looking forward to the restoration. Loved the tiny bottles and the blue ink, shame about the sick ones. Thanks for the journey.🙂
Your country looks so much like Tennessee. I love the song makes me feel that I'm home. Love 💗 you gals. I look forward to seeing you two every Sunday. Happy Easter.
Thank you, Ladies, for your videos. You have no idea how much you two have helped me through our long, loooong, frigid Canadian Prairies winter. I am so envious of your ability to find so much history that is literally under your feet all around you. My husband and I look forward to watching your videos when you release them on Sunday evenings. Thank you! We hope you are having a lovely Easter.
Amazing video! You hear so much about how women took over for men in the workforce during WW2 but not so much for WW1! I honestly never thought about it until this excellent video . Bravo G&A !! ❤
At 25.25 min 😱 I waa completely hooked! Please, please rescue this gorgeous and sturdy machine, the big table saw. I bet it can be restored and put to good use again! By the way: At 12.05 min: The tiny teapot could have been turned into a really nice oil lamp. 😁 ;-)
Wow! That doll's head was a fantastic find. Well done. Thank you for sharing your exciting finds with us. Did get me with the first day of Summer though 😉👍🏻
The clocks went forward in the UK on the night of the 26th of March. From that date it's known as British Summer Time (BST) until they go back again in October.
Spring Equinox was 20 March here in Canada. We start summer the 20/21 of June. Gail and Alex have had a spectacular day! So many wonderful finds. It fills me with regret when you leave so many beautiful items behind.
The clocks went forward in the UK on the night of the 26th of March. From that date it's known as British Summer Time (BST) until they go back again in October.
I think a machete is PERFECTLY understandable as mudlarking and fossiking equipment. Why would anyone question its validity? I would LOVE to see Alex slashing through the wild northern undergrowth with a large machete, auburn hair flying, a latter day treasure hunting Valkyrie. Gail urging her brave offspring on… I just adore watching you two ladies. I realise that you must have a quite normal relationship, ( I’m not going to over romanticize it) but onscreen your love & respect for each other shines through. On another note, I am very glad you kept the coconut. When you found it I thought “oh please keep it!” They are so common here in NZ, but NOT 100yr old ones. My lovely Scottish mother was almost knocked out cold by a coconut on Plantation Island in Fiji, on our holiday, during a cyclone, they were flying about in the high winds. We don’t mention them in her presence now……enjoy your spring weather as we head into winter! ❤🎉🎉 🥥
Bless the UK and all the variance with the weather, love it's the first day of summer for you ( June 21st) at the time of this video and you both have jumpers and coats on. I do miss it as I am in Queensland, Auz, sat in the air-conditioning !!! how bizarre life is. Loved this video, your joy with your finds and easy companionship you have, a great team. Have a great week. xx
I really enjoy watching you every week I really look forward to seeing you both and all the treasures that you find I think it’s wonderful that you both enjoy it so much too a shared interest in the history of your finds I also love watching the amazing jewellery that you both make I think your both very talented and live an idyllic life surrounded by your wonderful pets 😊
Congratulations on finding Summer! What a great addition to the family! But I think she should have been called "Spring". It's not the start of summer (21st of June) but spring (21st of March) The foliage you're crawling through is just getting its blossom. That happens in spring😉 But nevertheless, Summer is beautiful!❤
Thank you so much! Yes, it is spring, but I made the remark because we filmed day after the clocks went forward in the UK on the night of the 26th of March. From that date it's known as British Summer Time (BST) until they go back again in October.
Really great little bottles! That icy blue ink is so pretty, and the clear tinys found first are cute too! Amazed that the doll head is still whole, hope she gets a body soon!
So look forward to your amazing adventures and finds each week..two of my favourite mud larks . The beautiful blue ink for the window please, such a gorgeous colour !
Another wonderful lark with 2 wonderful women! What a beautiful Spring Day with lots of amazing treasure. Love the dolls head and I can’t wait to see what it turns out to look like 👍🏻 Have a great week! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️💜
the queen & king pipe should go in the window of wonders because of your upcoming coronation. the doll's head is fantastic - can't wait to see the restore.
I think the King is George V and Queen Mary. I recognize her crown. She was a huge collector of jewerly and had this crown that then went to Queen Elizabeth II.
Absolutely loved your singing; beautiful 💕
this video was great and l didn't want it to finish. thank you ladies, you are wonderful with love and happiness to you both xx

Lovely song... Scarborough Fair... Looked like a wonderful day. Can't wait to see your next adventure.
Beautiful. Thank you so much my lovelies xx Teresa 🇦🇺❤
Is that you two singing Scarboro fair? We've heard previously singing and thought it might be you!
Great singing, so now you can mudlark, storytell, sing, craft, and make great films. Smashing and thanks.
That little blue ink has to go in the window! What a lovely color! Congrats on the doll head! Glad you took the coconut! 🥰🥰
Loved this .... Sunshine & a whole doll head she is adorable 😍 fantastic find 🤗
Wonderful adventure and great finds!! Look forward to the next one and the wonderful music!! 🦘
Who is singing “Scarborough Fair”? It’s lovely.
Absolutely lovely film xx you should stick your stopperbottles to different sized sheets of glass and hang it up so the light shines through, what beautiful rainbows it will make xx

Beautiful rendition of Scarborough fair😊
I dearly love watching you both! Other treasure hunters are only after metals or bottles or diamonds. Your choices are so beautiful . Such lovely colors and the beautiful memories of days long gone!
Thank you for being you!!!!!
Hello ladies, ink bottles & small stoneware bottles could be beautifully decorated candle holders, white pots tea candles! Lovely!
That coconut was begging to be made into a galloping horse. 😜
I had to check my calendar. I thought it was Spring in March, not Summer. Congratulations on the doll's head find!
Yes, I am also confused! Maybe this was filmed in summer 2022?
@@candacejendoubi8814 I'm confused too.
Here I am wondering if they have a diff start date kinda like winter and summer are reversed in Australia. 😂😂😂
Glad it’s not just me. I think they mean start of British Summer Time maybe? As in, the clocks have gone forward to BST from DST? The season is still spring though which is part of the confusion.
To add, it’s clearly spring in the shots with all the leaf buds on show. And she says 'spring leaves'. So def. BST
Thanks for the lovely adventure.
Beautiful gals Beautiful finds I love you both thank you! ❤❤
I love watching you guys you both are so beautiful!! And...... Your voices are very soft and beautiful as well. Thank you for your videos I love watching them!!
Best way to welcome summer in Britain with Gail & Alex our own Northern Mudlarks!!!

The tiny stoneware bottle is my favorite.

The paint on the doll looks great! You'll need to find arms and legs on-line and put Summer together. How exciting.
Congratulations on finding Summer!

@@NorthernMudlarks I was about to ask, 'Do you not have spring in Scotland?' ;-)
21st June is mid-summer's day in the northern hemisphere 😊 (Dot)
You need to bring along some hand clippers for the branches. The kind most use in the garden. Congrats on the complete doll head.
Beautiful early Spring Day!
Love you girls. God Bless. Love your hair Alex 🤗😘💖🙏
What a delight to find the dolls head so many other treasures! I cannot wait to see Summer restored .
I sure hope you go there again, beautiful finds and in great condition. Tough as it was, seems worth it…
Leaving a like and comment to help this great channel grow 😘
Really great little bottles! That icy blue ink is so pretty, and the clear tinys found first are cute too! Amazed that the doll head is still whole, hope she gets a body soon!

I probably would've kept the broken teapot anyway. It was adorable. Love these videos ❤
Hooray .. a Northern Mudlark day ❤❤ Thank you, ladies, for another adventure and for taking us along. I loved the cellulose tortoise shell hair pick.
