That’s an inexcusable response to your question. I think if one of my representatives dismissed my question so nonchalantly I probably would have been arrested for cold cocking him.

Can bet that his focus was on increasing his net worth to $50 million and then $100 million and then to $500 million. Because that is what the corporate mindset does to people. It corrupts their minds even while they claim to be Christians. I’ve worked in enough different corporations around the country to know that is generally true.
Here's the truth, what Luigi did was absolutely wrong, but his sentiment is correct. What we have now, is that the obscenely wealthy own over 80% of all outstanding stocks. What they do, is put in the most sociopathic CEO's that they can find. These CEO's screw the workers to the max, and screw the customers to the max in the name of "Maximizing Shareholder Value". That gets the obscenely wealthy higher profit margins, higher stock prices, higher dividends, bigger stock buybacks. So in that sense, Luigi is spot on with who our enemies are. Does my heart well to hear many folks unite on this. It's not about the action. It's about the message. If CEOs still think profits are more important than the lives of their customers, then perhaps more messages need to be sent.
My hope is that we regain the power of the people without violence. That we use our voices and and our bodies to protest and influence our lawmakers before it comes to that.
Where have you been for the last several decades? I live in Minneapolis. The biggest worldwide riots ever occurred because of events this city saw. Did police reform occur because of that? I'll wait... Walking around the street isnt going to do it. The entire reason protests work, is the implication of what would occur to those in power, if they try to repress the majority. Screaming "Bigger Cages! Longer Chains!" over and over at each other, has failed. As intended. I suggest it is time we follow different template now.
I hope this is the catalyst for reforming healthcare and Luigi hasn't sacrificed his freedom for naught. We need to step up and insist on universal healthcare
@@inna7417 No. He's not. You are. You think people won't go to another provider? Or just not get insurance? That reduces the profits. The companies will tell the CEOs either you quit or you give up your bonuses. As a reminder, the meeting the CEO went on without him like he didn't matter.
i am on SSI don't have much however i would also be willing to send a few dollars to help in his defense ,, politicians should think about what their decisions are going to do to people and think about how much their decisions might impact their own healthcare options . Next .
IF Luigi actually did what he's accused of & not being very conveniently setup as the fall guy - which I think is more likely - I'd also still donate to a defence fund! I’ve already written my VT Congresswoman and two Senators as well as our governor that it’s time to have the political courage to get single payer type health care. The time is here, people are ready and they would have backing from people who identify as Americans, not as divided political parties.
I left Colorado, and the US entirely, almost three years ago. Thank you for including the spectacular Colorado vistas in your videos! It doesn't make me homesick (that isn't covered by my US insurance, anyway), but it does remind me of the beauty of the *only* great state in the Union.
I feel the same way. And the advantage programs are stealing money from old people. My supplemental insurance has gone up so much because workers in the state are choosing Advantage.
What he did wasn’t right. But, our healthcare system is all wrong. (And the CEO of the parent company appears to be doubling down on refusing coverage.)
Drinking brews with my geezer friends, some were saying that the problem is the government is involved too much in our healthcare system and needs to get out of it. Contrarian that I am I asked them if they like their Medicare. Everyone agreed that it made their retirement easier. When I pointed out that the administrative costs of Medicare were 3% and the same costs in private insurance companies averaged 22%, my question to them was how much of that 22% went into curing sickness and how much went into the yachts of CEOs of the health insurance companies? Murder is always wrong. As educated as Luigi is, he could have expended his brainpower helping the cause for Medicare for all. Tragedy all around.
Thank you for your thoughts. Luigi is a hero. We've tried to have this conversation and have been ignored. Tools still are happy with health insurance companies robbing them. Luigi FORCED this conversation, which the powers that be are STILL IGNORING. GEE... think that they are profiting from the dysfunction? I know they are! I remember when having health insurance was a good thing. Since the ACA, insurance companies have been running rampant and unchecked.

I’m very concerned & worried for family, friends and our people who stand for democracy. We must create alliances & resist! Thank you for your platform & May God spare & protect us
Insanity defense. Hope they run with that.
They just announced he has a big lawyer, is Karen Friedman Agnifilo, she’s part of the “Legal AF” Podcast on Meidastouch network
Thank you for addressing this.
Does my heart well to hear many folks unite on this. It's not about the action. It's about the message. If CEOs still think profits are more important than the lives of their customers, then perhaps more messages need to be sent.
Hi Vick! Nice to hear your words of wisdom. Thank you🩵
My hope is that we regain the power of the people without violence.
Sounds like Tiime magazine put the wrong 'Person of the Year' on its cover.
I hope this is the catalyst for reforming healthcare and Luigi hasn't sacrificed his freedom for naught. We need to step up and insist on universal healthcare
'Morning Vic. At the least, the CEO's making mega millions may spend some of that cash on security.
You're so naive.. the extra security costs will get built into our bi-weekly premiums, co-pays and deductibles now 🤦

No. He's not. You are. You think people won't go to another provider? Or just not get insurance? That reduces the profits. The companies will tell the CEOs either you quit or you give up your bonuses. As a reminder, the meeting the CEO went on without him like he didn't matter.
The murder wasn’t about the man. It was about the business model. It’s just business.
Money can buy you freedom, but not justice.
i am on SSI don't have much however i would also be willing to send a few dollars to help in his defense ,, politicians should think about what their decisions are going to do to people and think about how much their decisions might impact their own healthcare options . Next .
Luigi will go down in history as a revolutionary.
Brother, you're singing my tune. You just got another sub.
We are the only major nation that does not have Medicare for all or Universal healthcare.
I hear you Vic.
IF Luigi actually did what he's accused of & not being very conveniently setup as the fall guy - which I think is more likely - I'd also still donate to a defence fund! The oligarchs need to pull their heads out of their arses... Maybe if there was a few more "leaded vacc*nations" for CEO's, a few things might change! 😂💩💰
❤🙏🏼 AMEN, mister Meyers 🙏🏼❤️ 💯 You couldn't have said it any better 💯
Vic as an 80yo veteran I took an OATH to protect and defend this country. When i was discharged in Sept of 1968 my OATH didn’t stop. Let me say that i am one pissed Veteran. And hell yes i’ll be donating along with you
Agree with you 100% - everything you said.
I’ve already written my VT Congresswoman and two Senators as well as our governor that it’s time to have the political courage to get single payer type health care. The time is here, people are ready and they would have backing from people who identify as Americans, not as divided political parties.
Thank u dear sir Vic❤
Agree with your analogy Vic. I'm in the Free Luigi camp. From NZ
Thank you for your post. Thank you for your voice.
I would donate, too. If enough of us do that it sends a message loud and clear.
What a sad state of affairs!
What he did wasn’t right. But, our healthcare system is all wrong. (And the CEO of the parent company appears to be doubling down on refusing coverage.)
Alias the 2nd Amendment being used properly. Just a political statement.
Absolute Agree
Amen Vic~! Nothing phenomenal idea. Thanks for the suggestion.!! 🙌🏼✅✅
I would donate!
Well said, Vic, thank you!
Here for the resistance! Thank you. Speak the truth!. Grateful for the light upon this problem
I would also contribute to his defense fund.
Luigi needs to file to run for president, then delay, delay, and delay. And maybe sell some Luigi sneakers?
GiveSendGo is the website sponsoring a legal defense fund for Luigi. They have raised over $100,000 for him.
In just under a week!! 😊 that's impressive
Feeding the alg, but I also agree, and I'd kick in a buck or two. The man is not mentally well.
I disagree. He might be one of the more sane ones in the population. The rest of us are just sufferers of Stockholm syndrome at this point.
Thank You Vic 👍 ❤❤
Luigi is a Patriot We the peoples hero United We stand.
If the insurance companies did their freakin job and help people instead of worrying about their profits what Luigi did would have never happened.
True. But just think of all he could have done without taking a life. He has money, education and youth.
If you are speaking of the (supposed):shooter, he also had tremendous pain and a mother who reciened no/ poor care.
If Luigi was to run for office, then he can claim prosecution is politically motivated, and that his own actions were patriotic.
Hello VIC, let the resistance begins with us💙💙💙
Vic isn't offering any here. What? Maybe a mere donation and a finger wagging to the next victim who wants justice?
Thanks, Vic. So sad...the Healthcare system is so broken. D.T is a criminal who walks the street. No justice
Guaranteed medical care for everybody NOW!
Thank you. I'm with you .
Murder is murder but I have a hard time not seeing Luigi as a sort of hero. I'm with you, I'd donate to his legal defense fund if I heard about it.
The Rape of the Mind, by Joost Meerloo, 1956.
Amen.
Not sure a jury is going to convict him. 😅
I’m with you. Maybe it takes extreme action to get change.#resist
Luigi Mangione has accomplished something ALL Americans should strive for... to have folk song written about you.
Vic Meyers, Thank you!
If denial of health care for no reason other than money isn’t a crime against humanity. It should be. Just saying.
As long as our politicians are allowed to own stocks, truly serving the people will be secondary. Bernie Forever.
If Rittenhouse can be their folk hero, we can claim Mangione, who harmed less, our folk hero.
I agree sir
Thank you for your thoughts.
Luigi is a hero. We've tried to have this conversation and have been ignored. Tools still are happy with health insurance companies robbing them. Luigi FORCED this conversation, which the powers that be are STILL IGNORING. GEE... think that they are profiting from the dysfunction? I know they are!
I remember when having health insurance was a good thing. Since the ACA, insurance companies have been running rampant and unchecked.
Vic, great video. Love your take on this. I would donate too.
There is a man here in IN who got back surgery and the surgeon refused to give him the pain meds he needed he went to the hospital and shot the doctor maybe those who think they are important could have a little care for others
