Hey everybody, sorry that I've been absent so long from the channel! I got a little burnt out at the end of last year and then I've been having some minor health issues, all of which added together to mean I wasn't getting as much TH-cam work done as I'd like. @@LogansVHSChannel IDK bout you, but ima celebrate the original Super Mario Bros game for all of ‘24 and the Super Show for all of ‘29. Now that I know the franchise is mired with death, I’ll be mourning during those years, too. We’re all free to mourn in our own ways! 😿 As the 30th anni of the original live-action SMB film, this year is also particularly bad for me, because we’ve already lost Bob Hoskins and Dennis Hopper. Such phenomenal actors gone too soon
Well considering the fact that Mario and Luigi's whole origin story is about being delivered by a stork, one that's pretty bad at her job considering that she lost them several times and the Yoshis had to do all the work, but also that she delivered them to the wrong parents the first time (as we learned in Yoshi's Island DS), she may totally have delivered the third Mario brother Pietro to the wrong family.
If they ever make a third Mario brother, this would be a pretty coherent backstory.

@@WhatsItsName Whoops my bad. I'm french and french doesn't have neutral pronouns. Well now it does but it's relatively new and I'm not used to it. So sometimes i forget about it and they and I use the pronouns we use in french a.k.a. she in the case of the stork since nouns are gendered in french, and stork is feminine. And the stork of the story is specifically female in our version of the story, likely because of that fact.

There is a third Mario brother. His name is Sponge - he wears an orange cap and soaks up all the sadness in the Mario world. He also walks on his giant handlebar mustache.

Files digged up from SM3DW on Wii U show that sponge was in fact, planned to debut in this game, probably using his mustache to fight off bowser's minions and save the sprixie kingdom.

Overtime I’ve grown to enjoy the Live action segments more than the animated ones. I actually wish they made more of these, I really love them.
Same here. It's funny how when I was a kid, I liked the cartoon segments better. But now that I'm much older, I've come to realize that the live action parts are pretty funny and entertaining because of how cheesy and over the top they are.

Honestly, I'm interested if we would see any sign of Pietro in the Mario Movie? I doubt it, but considering the different types of references and throwbacks the movie is already adding, I would be very surprised if something like this would show up!

Actually, his name is Sponge. He comes from a classic Mario game, called Mario’s Mystery Meat. Pretty crazy.

First time hearing about him. This is what I like about Thomas Game Docs. He tells me things I don’t already know so that I learn something.
I remember this episode. It tripped me up in everything I knew about Mario, then the ending happened. Props to Luigi for being smart.
Little did they know, but that was Wario in disguise as a long lost brother.
Funny you say that, as a kid I was told by a friend Wario was Mario's twin brother and I believed it for a good couple of years but one day I did some research and found out the truth.

There was a gag in some UK gaming mags in the '80s that the third Mario brother was called "Alfredo", and some even pointed out that Stanley from Donkey Kong 3 was the Mario's much younger brother.

I like to think that Dr. Mario is the third brother, which fits good with the red, green, and white on the Italian flag 🇮🇹
I always liked how in the live action segments, Luigi was the smart one and Mario was the more gullible one. It was a nice counter to the animated segments where Mario was the brave one and Luigi was the more timid one.
Same here. Luigi was much more discerning about things and questioned situations that seemed off, and Mario could be rather gullible and took things at face value. It's one of those things that I've kind of wished was carried over to other iterations of them and other media.
@@justmeherethereandeverywhere I'd say it actually did carry over to other iterations of the franchise, just in a more subtle form. Luigi was the timid one in the animated segments because he was the smarter one; his being nervous and questioning the viability of whatever the heroes were doing was what distinguished him from the others' gung ho tendency to leap into action, and it's a trait that we see again in the RPGs and at the start of the new Mario movie. Sure, everything always works out in the end because Mario's the hero, but if we're being honest every time Luigi says something to the effect of "I knew this was a bad idea," he's pretty much correct. There's a reason that when he finally got his own dedicated game series, it wound up being predominantly puzzle-based.

A big question for me is what colour you'd go with for the character. Mario is red and blue, Luigi green and blue. Purple and yellow are then taken by Wario and Waluigi. So what does that leave for a third brother? Orange? Turquoise? None of the options are as striking as the already-taken colours.
Next comes the dilemma of design. There's only so many variations of "moustache and overalls" you can do before it gets stale. Honestly, if I was designing a third Mario sibling, I'd go with a younger or older sister instead. Feels like there's much more room for creativity by going in that direction!
I would like go that way as well, I would go with a pinkish red for a sister and Light blue or white for a little brother.

I wish they animated Pietro in episode 28. :] Wonder how Peach *ahem* Toadstool and Toad would have reacted to a third Mario “brother”. Also I can’t tell you enough how much I adore the live action segments of the Super Show. Cheesy as it is, I just feel happy when I see it. May Lou Albano, Danny Wells, and Harvey Atkin all rest in peace.
This plotline and those jokes are actually decent. Makes me wish there was a way to go back and watch the show's episodes now. :)

I remember Connor the Waffle who is a TH-camr and created the 3rd Mario Bros. Theory, he noticed that Mario and Luigi's shirts are the first and last color of the Italian flag, and Connor believes that if a 3rd Mario Bros. were to exist, his shirt would be white.

Actually, _Wario_ is technically the third Mario brother, seeing as Pietro was literally a fake. According to a licensed coloring book, that asks "Who is Mario's brother" the correct answer that can be found by connecting the dots or whatever, and is also written upside down, is *Wario.* So... yeah. This makes the information equally as canon as "Kerog" and slightly more canon than your average Prima Guide information.
Ok but, 5:35 that was really wholesome. This is why this was one of my favorite shows growing up.

For the past few years, I've had in my headcanon that there's a third Mario brother who keeps the plumbing business back home afloat and handles the day to day stuff while they're away. Dorkly called him Guisseppe, even gave him a matching outfit but with brown overalls and a brown hat with a "G" on it. While most of Dorkly's overly deconstructive humor gets an eyeroll from me, or maybe a quick laugh when they did a good job, I've always really liked the idea of someone who holds the fort down at home while the other two Marios are away.

Fun fact: They have made this character named doctor Mario some people think that he is just Mario but he’s not and is actually his own character like in super smash brothers he has his own character and the Mario brothers are the color of the Italian flag red, green, and white. Also the little girl in the movie is Mario’s niece.
