The other thing the Dems fail at is running candidates in what they percieve as safe red districts. If you don't run candidates, don't do any ground work, don't advertise, don't even try to get your message and platform out, how can you complain about not winning more seats? I saw Marc Elias' interview with Ken Martin on Democracy Docket. That guy sounds like he would try to turn the Dem Party bsck toward focusing on all states and ethnic, multi-cultural, rural, and working class communities we lost significant ground with in the last election.

The problems stem from the ultra rich who want all legislative decisions to favor them. They want a strong, vital economy, a well-educated work force, etc., as long as they aren't forced to take any responsibility for making those things happen. Citizens United should have been called Ultra-Rich Americans United. Many of the super wealthy don't want to pay their workers a living wage. It's a twisted mentality. Ever heard of the Glass-Steagall Act? That kept banks and other moneyed businesses from taking huge risks! The Republicans got rid of that bill, and a few years later came The Financial Crisis of 2007- 2008. It crushed a bunch of regular Joes. Banks were saved by the government! Twisted!

Lack of critical thinking, failure in primary education, leads to the populace we have today. I grew up poor and in regular public school systems in the late '60s-70s, and I wasn't a great student. But I learned. Basic history, civics, science...These elected clowns such as you named, unbelievable. Put clowns in a house, you get a circus. I can't recall any of them ever putting forth any meaningful bills, let alone ideas.
