    It's not only about ground clearance of the vehicles.
    Some others factors like, speed of the vehicles, no of passengers inside, suspension system, how it's passing the bump (straightway or from a side etc.), Tyre pressure at that point of time and many more. Also it depends on the angle of the camera placed.

    upon watching this video ....I realise ground clearance in itself doesn't help much ...wheelbase has to be taken into account .....apart from that type of suspension and no of passengers etc as pointed out by others play a role too ...lesser the wheelbase ..better utilised the ground clearence will be ...thanks for the video

    I drove my Altroz today for approximately 700 km (Bangalore to Pondy and back to Bangalore). There were roads through village and potholes. Car was packed - 7 members that included 2 kids, and 5 adults (Total weight approx 460 kg plus luggage). My Altroz didn’t touch anywhere. Plus I could beat the google suggested hrs by approx 1.5 hrs. In summary don’t think about it’s ground clearance and acceleration. I also don’t know why do we discuss so much about the ground clearance of Altroz and not the swift

      Even am travelled 350 km with my family and heavy laugage aswell. I enjoyed my drive like anything....Tata Altroz is really an Amazing Car...My drivingexperience is really awesome.....a great Salute to Ratan Tata Sir 🙏👌

      Tata and Mahindra only makes iron steel truck type cars. I don't know why these two companies don't make good looking and good engine cars. Tata and Mahindra mindset is not for a family car or good looking car. They only makes giant tough trucks with loads of iron and steel sheet used with worst noisy engine.

Looks are subjective however all these vehicles look absolutely stunning and have been received so well. They're safe and comfortable for family. Engine may not be as refined as Suzuki but it will soon be.

    All angles are different the 192 mm gc is also touching while 165mm not. It all depends on the number of passengers in the vehicle. Also some are going from right corner of the road while some from the left where camera is Mounted. Also camera's position is changed at some places

      It depends on the softness of suspension. no of people doesn't create that much difference. Its the softness off suspension. Every has also it's lowest ground clearance level also.

      @@BeastBoy_XD i think Tata suspension adapts to speed, I've tiago the suspension is very soft while i go in lower speed and it's very stiff in higher speed which is a good point, because stiff suspension gives stability at higher speeds

      Apart from other factors, It's the wheelbase that makes lots of difference. the distance between front wheels and back wheels. etc.

    Wheelbase also matters a great deal here. The wheelbase, ground clearance, suspension tuning and the length & height of the bump are all crucial factors.

    The wheel base also plays a big role, right combination of ground clearance and wheel base plays an important role. Cars with long wheelbase easily scrap their belly but are more stable and comfortable.

    Come to Bangalore, no matter what wheelbase , every small car will get the hit as punishment to be paying taxes in Bangalore. These man made speed breakers and naturally developed potholes are strategically built to ensure steady spare part sales like wheel bearings, suspension, break drums/ discs etc

    Amazing compilation.
    Honda should seriously look into it and introduce their cars in indian markets with thorough R&D in ground clearance dept.
    Tata wins hearts in all segments considering ground clearance.
    But it also depends upon factors like suspension, tyre pressure, rim size, driver's road awareness, driver's gc awareness and driving technique.

    If you are deciding on basis of this bumper test then you don't only have to consider the ground clearance but also the wheel base because shorter wheel base with same ground clearance will work better compared to the larger whell base

    Tata altroz is the car you worried about ground clearance but infact it performs better than most others, tbh, i also wonder, i have came across massive tall speedbreakers but have never scrape one. Good combination of sufficient wheelbase and suspension.

      Cross type or Diagonally driving. Means take the car and diagonally cross the speed bump by one tyre after the other, not two tyres together as seen in the videos 👍

    According to ncrease of Length of the vehicle (length between front wheel and rear wheel) is not supported with correspo nding increase in ground clearance, the chances of hitting the bottom of body increases in Indian roads. Instead of crossing the bump straight, we can try crossing the bump in an angle.

    I think the fault is with the speed breaker itself rather than the cars 🚗 the width & angel of speed breaker are high. Also not all cars are equally loaded so suspension travel will differ.

    This video shows Tata vehicles are well designed for our roads.None of the tata vehicles touches the ground eventhough the ssid ground clearance is small.Ambassader with 152mm ground clearance shows amazing performance.

    experienced driver are literally countering this bump by driving through the side or either manoevreing by adjustung the speed so this test isn't fair. Like the guys below my comments are saying it is true that the weight of the passangers and the durability of thier suspensions are playing important role so, this is not a fair comparison but thank you for this video. I actually enjoyed brother.

    Frirstly and importantly Automobile Industry should focus on car ground clearance, it should come with minimum 200 mm in India because India roads are not good mostly.

    From what i can see its not just about the ground clearance, as the wheel base gets longer you need more ground clearance to balance it out

      That'll depend on how the under-body is designed. Once a friend of mine badly bumped his tigor over really bad patch. Exhaust tube got dented, petrol tank also got dented. But imp thing to note is that road was extremely bad. Full of big boulders

      Always try to save front and back as compared to middle of the car floor... front side mostly damages engine oil chamber, rear part damages exhaust and fuel tank middle is comparitively safer.
