We're so happy to finally show off our thumb throttle! If you want to change your throttle to be a thumb throttle this is the guide for you! Its an easy switch to do yourself so we figured it would be nice for us to give you a guide.

Glad you enjoy it! If for some reason you want the finger throttle this video in reverse should help swap that out!

If anyone has trouble with the short cables, lower the scooters handlebar stem! Doing this will give you more than enough play to get your stuff on.
You make valuable and helpful videos AJ, thanks for that. I just still scratch my head at a few of the design choices the engineering team made. Like how I had to rewire the scooter for a factory-sent, broken plastic rear fender. Lmao, why was I messing with wires for a broken external plastic part? Lol. Anyways thanks again!
Would love to see step by step of how to install remote alarm/immobiliser. That way it will put our mind at ease when locked up outside grocery.

Hey Voromotors, to make more room available on the right hand side what if you moved the volt meter to the left hand side, for the thumb throttle setup?
With this install did you end up having some of the right side grip not able to slide all the way onto the bars? Ive seen other installs and they all had to either relocate the voltmeter, or not slide the grip all the way on. Thanks
How can you get the handle off without an air compressor?
I used a can of computer duster. Wrapped the red straw with a bit of electrical tape to "fill in" some of the area around the hole at the end of the grip and sprayed. Popped off immediately.

I noticed the thumb throttle wires are exposed going into the display and not insulated is that normal and what does that do to the waterproofness of the display/throttle? Looks like wire from throttle to display should have been made longer maybe 1-2" why so short? It should be rectified ASAP.
I'm seriously thinking about getting the Emove Cruiser (with Thumb Throttle) for my son and it rains a lot here.

@@BrianJian Love the Cruiser and the thumb throttle is fantastic. I had it installed before it shipped so the odometer was still zero when it arrived.

I also would like to install thump trottle at my talotie ti30.
But there is no connector to disconnect the lcd display. It looks it is connectet direktly in the deck. What do you think will i have a hall sensor in the origanal trottle and shoult i risk to upgrade without disconnect the original trottle??

Have they fixed the short cable yet? Thinking about buying this from beyondelectrek here in the UK but man I hate those exposed wires.
Troca...I know why in the world did they make it with such a short cable, this is a major flaw you even heard him say "the cable is a "little" short" I disagree it's A LOT SHORT. There is practically ZERO room for adjustment not to mention the lack of any sort of waterproofness. Are the pinching pennies to the point of making that cable one inch shorter? This item is $70 and one drop of water could destroy it.

Teo Elder as far as I know they do work the same it is compatible with mantis and zero 10x
My thump throttle will power OFF after couple minutes ride, also no speed reading, when power on there is flushing red on right side of the gear indicator.

I just got the newest one of EMOVE Cruiser and I'd really like to change that finger throttle out, feels terrible. But the hex-screw for the brake is stripped, I can't even adjust the brake position, how am I going to put on a thumb throttle if I can't get brake one off? I tried loosening that hes-screw it so I could adjust that brake handle (feels very wrong position ergonomically) but it won't budge. What should I do?

Does this work with the Touring? If not, any plans to make one?
This throttle does not work with the touring sorry, but we will work on releasing a new throttle for that soon!
Sadly having it as a preship install doesn't seem to be an option, and if it's anything like the Touring it's a DIY add-on or a buy and pay for install not an option choice. Know it's only about $50ish but bit disappointing - maybe I'm wrong and when the option is back it'll be an option not an add-on.
You actually can get the throttle installed before shipment, just go to the throttle's listing on our website and there will be an option to have it installed. Add that to your cart with your scooter and we will happily install the throttle for you in our shop. -AJ
@@VoroMotors probably technical issues I only see the touring thumb throttle and at additional cost.
@@VoroMotors I selected that option, but my touring came with the pull-throttle on and I had to install it myself :/
Is this thumb throttle specifically made for Emove Cruisers or are they universal and can be used on other name brand scooters?

That's a pretty good idea! Maybe Ill need to look into that and give a tutorial on how to mod that?

VOROMOTORS yea I would cuz it’s pretty simple- I soldered the extensions on and used heat shrink tubing and then electric tape....
@@VoroMotors ...How about actually making the wire longer at the factory these are made at (that's a better idea)????? Is one more inch of wire too much to ask? I'll pay the difference probably 2cents.
NO ONE should have to MOD a part that cost $70 to make it fit correctly, that's ridiculous.
I ordered mine with thumb throttle because previous scooter had thumb throttle
The wire is too short for me, I can't raise the brakes any higher
Anyway to remove the grip without an air compressor?
Try a bike pump? it would mechanically be same trick. You could always twist and pull it out but having a bit of air flow makes it MUCH easier. - AJ

Hi, AJ. I think Sherry just left you a message. She busted the finger throttle, so we replaced it with the thumb throttle. It turns on just fine, but won't drive the motor. Are we overlooking something?

I have two issues with the thumb throttle which I really hate because I really like the ergonomics of it. 1) It seems to be either full speed or no speed. Anything in between is extremely jerky and feels dangerous 2) For some reason the acceleration seems a lot slower than the trigger throttle and I'm getting top speed of 24mph instead of the 31mph of the trigger throttle (On new 2021 model).
Very interesting, I wonder if the electronics inside the throttle are the same as the trigger throttle, something must have changed it could also be something in the display that's changed too. I think the thumb throttle is much more comfortable but if doesn't have a smooth response it's not worth it. Have you contacted Voro about it? What did they say?
Personally, it's the only way I can control higher power scooters. The Zero 10x finger throttle got me into some fearful scrapes. Thumb all the way for me now.
I felt the exact same thing, but with the twist throttle. It was like there was no throttle response until it was about half way through, then it would jerk. I put the stock throttle back on. I am thinking of trying the thumb one, but from what Ive seen if you keep the voltmeter on the right side you will always have some of the grips end not on the bar. That would drive me crazy.
I can't just slide the brake lever off the cable is too short not giving it enough slack to slide off like that
Fold the bars down to create the slack you need.
I like the thumb throttle, but it's very jerky. Its so jerky that it's hard to set the cruise control.
WHY IS THE CORD SO SHORT???
Because whoever manufactured it made a mistake and apparently Voro thinks it's fine...even though the wire is so too short to make any adjustment whatsoever (AJ even mentioned in the video). Didn't Voro notice when the first received them? They ALL should have been sent back and done properly.
Why in the world is there no documentation for the symbols that represent error on the throttle display?! I have no idea what errors my scooter is trying to tell me is happening! I couldnt accelerate and without knowing what they mean I can't figure out what to do about it

@@moon4lord Thumb throttle is really almost out of stock. If you are saying the Cruiser, we are trying to replenish as fast as we can. As of now, we still have stock. We are usually not the ones doing preorders - If you see the reviews, we always ship pretty fast
