    As an owner of a Bronco Sport Badlands , I am continually amazed of the capabilities of the vehicle.

    Great video, really appreciate you featuring some of these unknown gems on the central coast. Your Hi Mountain video really inspired me to get off pavement more and make my suv more capable.

    Great video. I’m definitely looking into a bronco sport. Have you drove it in snow ? Where I live that’s the only fun is in the winter. I had a Jeep JL unlimited. Good times.

      I don’t own the Bronco Sport. I drive the Jeep. We did a video of the Bronco Sport in the snow.

    Would you possibly know who made the rear tire carrier on the bronco sport.

      Thanks. It is truly a Horse raised by Goats. Especially with the small lift and BFG KO2 tires. Best part is that it is my wife’s vehicle. Great daily driver and we are having a blast.

      @@mikerhoades4113 so it's a lifted BL? can I ask what lift kit you used? The BL is already 1.5 higher than the other trims so you added more lift is my understanding? Thanks! I wm blown away by what you were able to tackle with the BS BL! Way to go.

    Really like seeing what the bronco sport can do off road. Not much of an off roader myself, so it's far more capable than what I would ever need it to do.

    • @mikerhoades4113
      @mikerhoades4113 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Jason. The Sport will surprise you. We have the Badlands Edition that does add a couple more off-road goodies to make more capable.
      My wife was a total rookie when we got this. We went to the Bronco Offrodeo driving program in Texas. Learned a lot.

    Just to be clear, because you keep saying it doesn’t have a low gear (low range) no it does not have a low range, however, if you look at the gear ratios, first and second are a lot deeper than regular awd vehicles. 4.69 first with 3.80 rear gear gives a crawl ratio of 17.82:1. In comparison, a 5spd ranger with the 2.48 low range and 3.50 rear has a crawl ratio of 29.04 in low and 11.7 in high range. My point is, although there is no “low range” (and I wish there was) it’s not as bad as one would think, especially if you’ve only driven awd vehicles.

      I drive the Jeep, not the Bronco. Thank you for the information.

    • @mikerhoades4113

      Agree with your statement. The 8 speed trans does have a pretty low first gear. That is nothing compared to a transfer case and true low gear. We love our Sport. It would be a monster if it had a transfer case. Jeep Cherokee, Liberty, Compass offer a true low gear.
      The lack of a real crawl gear can be an issue with all wheel drive vehicles. The transmission can over heat because they are working harder. We have not experienced that with our Bronco, but have watch countless videos of Subaru’s and Honda cross over’s shutting down the AWD until it cools.

      @@mikerhoades4113 Yeah, definately wish it had a low range, maybe that can be an area to work on with ford. Feedback does work. My 20 year old son just picked up a 2022 compass...won't let it get dirty, let alone take it on even a fire road...I raised him wrong...LOL!!
