I decided to not add music in this video. Come along on my hikes to experience the sounds of nature even if it means no sounds at all. Sometimes the serenity of silence is loud enough. I volunteer as a Fire Lookout and Trail Trekker in Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Parks. The National Park Service Volunteers-In-Parks (VIPs) program was established in 1970 to provide citizens with meaningful...

My last shift at the Park Ridge Fire Tower was the middle of June 2024. It’s now the end of July and a lot has changed since I was last here. The National Park Service initiated a prescribed burn to help protect the park and nearby communities from wildfires. The fire burned the forest and a favorite hiking trail on the north side of the tower. A back-burn was ignited on the south side of the t...

Offering us perspective is one of nature's greatest gifts. Nature's splendor and enormity can help us bring our own small challenges and stressors into perspective. Have you ever watched leaves being blown around by the breeze? They never offer any protest; they simply float along in the wind's current, moving in whatever direction the wind carries them. When we choose to "go with the flow," we...
S6E6: Within The Heart Of A Fire, We Discover Our True Purpose.
มุมมอง 716 หลายเดือนก่อน
“Within the heart of a fire, we discover our true purpose," eloquently captures the transformative power of adversity. Just as fire has the ability to consume and destroy, it also has the potential to ignite passions within us that may have remained dormant otherwise. In the midst of challenges and trials, when we find ourselves metaphorically immersed in the flames, we are forced to confront o...

This adventure turned out to be quite the emotional journey and more than what was captured in the video. There were a lot of private moments that needed to be kept private and times where it just felt as if I should put the camera down and spend time with family. This trip was all about family. I haven’t seen my sister Michelle in over 10 years. We do keep in touch regularly and we’re always t...

Welcome back friends. I wanted to post an update on the elusive overlook near Mount Pinos but I didn’t have a lot of content. Correction Alta Sierra Ski Resort is closer to 7000, the Alta Sierra community below is 5700, and the Greenhorn Mountain summit is 6000. The Keyesville Masacare is also a known historical site, closer to Wofford Heights, between Keyesville and Kernville.

Thank you for commenting. I agree. I make these videos because it’s fun and I want to document our adventures. I’m not monetized and don’t have any desire to be monetized in the near future. Being monetized opens up a whole can of worms when it comes to drone footage and the need for permits. I simply enjoy sharing my experiences and finding new ways to make the videos better. I always try to include little known facts and pieces of history about the places I visit. Some channels explode with subscribers overnight and they aren’t that different from mine. Please spread the word. 🙂🙂🙂

I appreciated this presentation and the beautiful footage. I have indigenous heritage and finding information about their practices has been a challenge. I didn't know about the Religious Criminal Code of 1883, so that sheds some light on why tracing my heritage has been difficult... It explains a lot. My heart hurts for my ancestors and I hope to find ways to connect and honor them in this lifetime. Thanks for creating this video!

The indigenous people of the central valley of california. The spirit of the valley has deep roots of heritage dating back 4000B.C. The first Native Americans to settle in the San Joaquin Valley, now known as the Yokuts, likely arrived between 50,000 and 7,000 years ago. They established 63 separate tribes that were related by language and blood, and lived up and down the valley for thousands of years.

If you are watching this in regard to planning a trip, especially in the spring or fall, bring clothes for every season. My brother edited this video in order, please note our attire. It actually snowed. Pack much castor oil for your skin, it is dry. I did not. Come open, come willing to receive from Great Spirit. Come willing to grow and learn to give back. It is a beautiful and sacred place. (With amazing shopping too) 😊. The people that live in Sedona are so kind and helpful. Everything opens around 10 and closes around 5, save for the restaurants and grocery markets, of course they are happy. Quality of life is an actual goal there. Please go! Thank you Terrence for planning this amazing trip and experience. I will not wait another 10 years to adventure with you again. Come on over to the Smokies! ❤ (Shameless plug- I co-own Soul Shine Healing Studio in Fayetteville, NC. I offer remote intuitively guided healing sessions check me out on Facebook and Google. 😁💚) ✨Shine On!!! Michelle
