By the way, both Junker Queen and Mad Maggie seem to be inspired by Furiosa from Mad Max

@@li11lebig62 unfortunately i was shit macro didn't wanted to play overwatch he wanted to play apex and smash and the video ended up being lazy. Also domfist received a rework so its also somewhat useless this one feels righ goddammit.

if i remember correctly. i think they said they want to make their tanks more like brawlers, since they changed it to 1 tank per team. So, junker queen fits pretty well.

She's definitely gonna be far more meta then Mad Maggie will ever be. Also R.I.P. Hog. She does his job a little different while 100 times better.

He was really good in the first beta so they nerfed him, but maybe too much
We need a Reaper 2.0 for his many many new counters in Overwatch 2. Like how his ult is almost as useful as Cassidy’s ult with reapers many counters, like road hogs hook and having the same HP as before.
Edit: I also found out playing O2 that his ult barely does any damage compared to his ult in O1 so that’s great

Reaper is fine, just a tweak to his primary fire spread and he will be in great shape.
Reaper has already been proven to be really strong with zarya, so he needed a nerf but not by this much
I hope Cassidy's ult gets buffed, give it less time to lock on, not to much but just enough, it takes forever to lock on.

junkerqueen is arguably the most balanced a new character has ever been
She's really really strong. Haven't you seen her literally fighting in the midst of battle without having to retreat? No other tank can do that for long but with heals she's almost unkillable. Her ult is also bonkers because of a 5 second anti heal. She needs a nerf.

@@joris_db Sigma just works. He has everything a tank needs. A barrier which you can place almost anywhere, A good stun with a lot of damage. Absorb which can give him an incredibly high hp pool and his attacks do massive damage. I'd say he's too strong as he is now or all tanks have to be around his level.

Although the problem with bringing all tanks to sigma’s level is that you get into the realm of “powercreep.” If you make all the tanks really strong, then you need to make evvveryone way stronger, causing a feedback loop of sheer damage. As a result, buffs unfortunately need to be heavily balanced with nerfs, or else at a certain point, everyone will just get instakilled after one second of damage lol.
Reminder that the Junker Queen’s appearance was introduced way before Max Maggie was a thing, and by that I mean her early design which isn’t too different from what we currently have

I have been playing Overwatch 1 for two years and I was so excited about OW2. I have been a support main on OW1 (mostly Lucio and Moira player, sometimes Hanzo and Soldier 76 for fun). I never liked playing tanks. NOW?? I got into beta just 2 days ago and I LOVE Junkerqueen. She is so fun to play ♥ I hope they wont fuck her up, she is amazing!
Yep and as a tank main I’m enjoying support like never before in 5v5, the new gameplay is just a straight up improvement
@@fuscello tbh I dont know why but for me playing support in OW2 became very hard... My heal input is low and my demage even lower. I cant keep myself alive no matter what I do... I was pretty good support in OW1 idk why I just cant seem to get the grip in OW2

@@S_N_O_W_U_Y but why is it happening? I just today tried OW2 and then switched back to OW1 to see if I wasn't lame support even in OW1 but nope. I easily went up to 14k healing and 6k demage with Lucio when we played attack the point. In OW2 I barely get to 2k demage and 3k healing with Lucio... I was really good at playing Lucio in OW1... I have no idea why I suck so much in OW2
I mean you do you, but eventually tanks as a whole are going to get a nerf as now they are just DPS characters with bigger health bars. And junker queen is literally reaper and genji hyper aggressive mixed together with roadhogs survivability, health and general annoyingness.
I think she either needs a bit more HP or the knife needs to deal more wound damage, she just doesn't feel like a tank unless you have a healer pocket, meanwhile all other tanks in the game feel unkillable with a pocket, to get to that status she needs both supports, I just feel like she needs more staying power

Well yeah. Tanks are focused on CC, DPS are focused on, well, DPS. Doomfist has to be a tank because of how much CC is in his kit, and Bastion couldn't be one because of how much damage he outputs.

I can imagine how he'd look like as a tank. He'd TAKE space with recon mode, and MAKE/ENFORCE space with sentry.
His OW2 grenade would be moved to his Ability 2 slot, only it'd explode on contact and would have more knockback at the cost of damage.
His self-repair would return, because what's a tank without some sort of self-sustain?
And his primary fire would work like OW1 bastion again, making him feel like a tanky 76.
As for his infamous Sentry mode, he wouldn't be able to reload or use abilities while using it. But he can start moving the instant he starts reconfiguring back into recon, with the caveot that his weapons and abilities only come back online once he's FULLY reconfigured... But that's if he's using OW1 sentry, he might end up using OW2 sentry but I personally like this idea more.

I honestly love the Junker Queen, started using her for the *Mommy* vibes, but as i kept playing she became in a short time my main for tank role, and just in general in any match. Love butchering those RoadHogs.

The junker queen combo: shoot, throw knife, shoot, start your axe swing, recall the knife (swing will connect as they are being pulled), shoot into melee. Des enough damage to kill any hero outright with half decent aim.
and at close range kills them like half way through the combo anyway

I started playing overwatch 2 yesterday and tried out JQ and honestly, i haven't enjoyed the game this much in the past because her kit is just so perfect for me as i like playing aggressively.
Nothing feels better than making the enemy tank actually fear you in a match after you win 1v1s with them multiple times.

Reaper is still pretty good even in ow2 because less stun for death blossom and a junker queen pulling him in makes him good just try him out. You got to be more sneaky play him like revenant in Apex

I feel like she will need nerfs. Not massive ones but some slight changes. I think even making commanding shout have a slightly higher cool-down would work wonders.
She actually isn't that hot rn. In a scrim setting, JQ can only play brawl, and zenyatta is better with something like Sigma, (Zen is OP RN.) With Sojourn and Zen being so oppressive rn, the meta is poke, and poke beats brawl.
If you really wanna run brawl on like colleseo, then brig lucio jq reaper cass is not bad and can work.
@@heyyitsquid this honestly ain’t it at all. The meta of the game hasn’t been established yet cause competitive isn’t a thing yet, people are still trying new heroes, new comps and figuring out how things fit in to place, and a whole meta can’t be ‘poke’ cause poking all game isn’t an effective strategy. It doesn’t net you elims, it won’t stop a push and most of all it’s SUPER easy to play around.
Sigma as a tank is not in a great spot at the moment, picking him from experience feels more like a throw because without his second tank to back him up he is deceptively squishy, and is EXTREMELY hard countered by a certain JQ.
As far as JQ herself is going, yes, she is quite strong. She’s not quite overpowered but she’s not balanced either. She is a character who I’ve actually found use in using her as a poke character despite what I said earlier. She’s really good at doing short bursts of damage that create space for your team that allows you to take fights easily, there’s also the fact that as long as she has any form of healer with her she WILL NOT die a good player (such as myself) literally feels invincible with her. Her damage, is insane and her scattergun can do deceptively high amounts of damage at a range too.
Reaper on the other hand (as a reaper main with 300+ hours on the character) is looking absolutely terrible. The openness of the game state at the moments makes it very hard for him to find his moments and he’s picked off super easy. He has no value as a support stomper anymore as Zen has kick and Ana has anti and dart. Considering Ana and Zen seems to be the best ideal combo with supports at the moment he gets out out of his ideal range the second he gets into it. His role as a tank buster is absolute useless too, considering there’s only one tank in 5v5 Not to mention, he is once again countered by another ever prevalent JQ who absolutely stomps him close quarters. Simply put, his damage is way too inconsistent for him to see use at the moment.
Not to mention, Reinhardt is ALSO not looking too great at the moment for many reasons but I’m sick of typing and won’t get into them.
JQ atm is pretty easily the best tank, she does way too much for her team and has too much value in team fights for anyone to opt picking against her.
@@rogueisded Look, I literally play in T2 scenes, here’s why sigma is good. Very simple idea, his shield allows quick rotations and allows both zenyatta and sojourn to get a free pick. You cannot poke with JQ, because she will get melted by railgun character. JQ is good in brawl bc she is only effective up close. As I said before, a poke comp, (Sigma, Sojourn, Genji, Zenyatta, Baptiste,) will beat a brawl comp, (JQ or Rein, Cass, Bap or Brig, Lucio.) Reaper, can be good in these braw comps because he is good up close. Of course you could always play Genji bc he is broken rn. JQ has nothing to help a sojourn or zen so that’s why sigma is better.
@@heyyitsquid Gotta agree with you here, Sigma is very strong in poke comp, Not sure if the person who commented this understands how good Sigma is, He's one of the hardest heroes to learn but the reward is so worth it
@@arktis2653 RogueIsDed is right brawl is much more effective, reaper is absolute trash rn (I hope it stays that way) and a lot of the brawl character cant get to the poke characters pretty easily

I’ve had the most success with Queen by just being as aggressive as possible. The more damage you do the more sustain you have in the fight. This can backfire and you can be punished, but I feel like that’s just the nature of her play style. A passive and defensive JQ is useless.

It’d be really cool if they added in a pairing system with Genji so he can counter junker queen like maybe a stun for about .5 seconds for your team to counter
