I can't believe they locked characters behind a battle pass. Like, the most exciting thing about OW1 was when a new character dropped and you could ACTUALLY TRY IT
Lol if that wasn't bad enough, it's annoying as hell to level up if you aren't constantly trying to constantly complete the challenges
The battle pass characters are free, anything that requires IRL currency is entirely cosmetic
thats proof you are talking from your ass without knowing what you are talking about cuz only the brand new character is locked behind the pass all other characters can be unlocked after ur 100th game

It would have felt like an actual sequel if it released with the PVE mode. Im excited for the mode because the OW story is good and its something new and refreshing for OW
Agreed, I assume that’s why they slapped the early access label on it. But honestly not considering it a sequel till the pve drops

@Leo yeah, the only promises actually kept by blizzard were ones finished back in 2019 already, specifically and only the new maps. They have blizzard polish, and actually are good. Everything else is basically just overwatch one but at least slightly worse, and they've completely broken their promise to never have pay to win microtransactions, and as such lose a lot of the credit they gained for their good work with loot boxes when other companies made games worse with their own.

it should probably be mentioned that the fact that it's being promoted as 'new' somewhat is definitely bringing in a lot of new players. I know a ton of people who are discovering ow2 and had never thought of touching ow1

It's early access. They wanted to package the game with the hero missions, and story missions. But they released the PvP stuff early.

As an returning player from OW1, Its super fun to play with ftp players whilst also fighting against new players as Lucio, booping them off the map and gettin POTG

I am a new player but i booped a headshot only hitting Cassidy off the map in the German city map for Escort the Payload mission. He was booped near the entrance right next to the payload's spawn area

exactly but sadly, overwatch 2 needs a way to gain themselves money. i just wish the prices weren't so, much? 18 dollars for a single legendary is very crazy and majority of the skins are old and were once free in the first game. it's really horrible that they would make old skins 18 bucks, it'd be understandable if it were at least 15 dollars or so. things such as emotes and highlight intros too are WAY overpriced and they keep finding ways to make it so you have to buy extra coins. for a legendary, they force you to buy 2,200 coins, which is ridiculous.

I used to look at Orisa in overwatch 1 and see a walking ult charger but now I’m actually a little bit scared of her
I love that big ol Push robot. Probably has some of my favorite lines in the game. I.E. "Why are you fighting, when you could be pushing!"

Overwatch 2 was a reason for me and all of my friends to come back togheder and play it. So I don't care if it is the same game, the fact that it's free makes it amazing.

It's honestly insane how quick I was able to jump back into this after not playing OW for 2 and a half years. A bit miffed that the account merging took forever to get my characters and skins back, but I had no problem picking up Moira again and got both of her achievements the first day I got back.
just dont use skins. aint worth it with the new coins system, 1900 for an OK skin when 1000 is enough for premium battle pass

I never thought I would miss loot boxes.
They're not massive changes. But sometimes. You dont have to do a lot to improve something. The changes they made. Resulted in a much faster paced, better flowing game. I'm loving it.

My biggest issue with OW2 is actually the lack of lootboxes. Seeing the game without any skins makes it feel much more bland. It was nice to see everyone expressing themselves through the skins they used.
I know you didn't say anything bad about them now being there but I'll still say something
The reason they're isn't any loot boxes is because It's a free to play game meaning they wont receive much money if there was still lootboxes. Though it would be cool if they added levels back. A good idea would be like you get a legendary lootbox every 10 levels, or you can get them through events
@@BluePlant Yeah, we know the game is free, but I personally paid $60 (Founders Edition, idk how much was it back then but I think it was 60 bucks) a few years ago to play it and now I return back and I have to spend $25 more to unlock a legendary skin from the shop. Players that already had OW1 should have access to level and loot boxes or we should simply get a discount on the shop items.
Also, they’ve put heroes behind a paywall bro. If you don’t grind 24/7 or u don’t buy the pass, it’s literally almost impossible to unlock Kiriko. And why tf would they put heroes in battle passes? What happens after the season changes, people will not be able to unlock those heroes forever if they don’t buy Founders Edition? Shit sucks

As someone who never played OW1, the release of OW2 felt and acted like a fantastic starting point. One that I would never have tried had OW2 never come out.

I agree. A lot of overwatch "veterans" say that OW2 is a failure, but actually the amount of people that never could try this game before is insane, and now that it's free they are having a ton of fun.

I’ve actually had a lot of fun, I didn’t play overwatch 1 so I’m kinda new to it all but I’ve been having a real blast playing it the past two days. I like unlocking characters and playing them learning how to on the way, also love the costumisatics (sadly there locked behind a pay wall but that’s not an big deal gameplay rise…just hurts me cause I love character customization) , and I haven’t really had any problems with toxicity or broken gameplay. It’s just been fun and I’m definitely gonna be keep playing

I've never played overwatch 1 so when they released overwatch 2 for "FREE!!" I was like "okay let's try it" and I love it 😍!! Definitely one of my favorite games ever!!! Love Bastion and Pharah.

OW1 was better, TRUST ME.
The new DPS hero is so fun to play. That sweet sweet slide with the jet leg jump at the end lol. The weapon is also very good and it was a little built in sniper mode.
Overwatch 2 is so much fun and I’m so happy to see you cover it, and I can’t wait for all of the “for noobs” videos on the new hero’s!
As a person who never experienced playing ow1 but used to love valo and apex I can agree the team work and hours you need are incredible

Macro said that Sombra's hack doesn't make you unable to use abilities which isn't true at all. It's 1.75 seconds which sounds short but it's actually still really strong. She can spam stealth hack on the tank and they're useless 😭
You can't spam hack unless you also ult before or after a hack as the ult also hacks without the right click. The right click hack has a 5 second cool down

Playing kiriko is probs the most fun I’ve had she’s good if you can hit headshots on everyone *not roadhog* and her healing paper is really effective and I always get endorsements because I always am around to heal everyone and not just a tank
If the other team is playing roadhog, then you already won.
So I've been playing OverWatch for the past few days and it's been cool and fun I never played the original game mostly because I didn't have anything to play it on and that it wasn't free but this one actually feels good and thank you for your "For noobs" videos they help a lot

Honestly got the game tonight. Haven’t even played OW 1 before, but figured out the basics pretty quick and have had tons of fun so far.
If you played ow1 in those periods when it was free you'll have everyone unlocked and even get the bundle with the 2 skins and kiriko, even if you didn't buy the game

Correction on 2CP: It's still in the game, it's just not a part of the main map rotation anymore. You can still play 2CP on Custom Games.

I was always the healer in the first one because nobody was ever a healer. I became really good with Mercy because of this. I was almost always player of the game
I like the game itself, but I do miss the loot box system.

what is fun for healer is that now you got 66% chance to play with a tank that got no shield + you got no mobility if you play ana or zen which is really nice because all other hero can kill you faster . very fun game .
1) It’s your choice to play people, if you’re bad at ana or zen don’t play them
2) you don’t need shields anymore. Natural cover exists, tanks need to duel the enemy tank and hold a position. They can do that without just holding right click at the choke
3) ana has one of the only stuns in the game and zen has a huge way to knockback flankers plus does a huge amount of damage so idk wtf you mean
@@sueps4390 2.since rein sigma and zarya being top winrate for a reason and monkey being top tier in youtube tier list it mean sheild is just more important if you play hog queen ball doom enemy dps that have enough brain cell will ignore you and shoot straight to your healer
But that not case for anyone with sheild they cant do that so that why hero with sheild/can protect back line have most winrate

@@a.x.x8184 Oh yes because it has abilities its like overwatch and because its a battle royale its like fortnite even though it has things that make it different like the movement and overall mobility of characters, weapons that have unique features like taking 2 ammo types, different hop up attachments that change a weapons function like double tap, turbocharger, skullpiercer, and hammerpoints, and being able to scan survey beacons that give you info on the next ring so you know where to rotate. And lets not forget the lore of the game that's been built upon a lot more than most other fps including overwatch.

Overall overwatch 2 is very fun especially with friends i do hate how we don't have the crate system anymore but yeah this really reminds me of Ur old overwatch vids and when I first started watching keep up the good work macro

i've only played the game for 5 hours or so and mostly as a healer because i have terrible aim (i will try to improve 😭) and i already feel what you said. i'm the only one pushing the payload or capturing the square
5:50 …UNLESS you’ve got an ability like Moira! Yeah, it’s pretty funny how Orisa does this big scary ultimate move, and then you can just simply say “no,” press a single button, and be perfectly safe. And then you get an achievement for it!

i never played ow before and tried ow2 for the first time yesterday. pretty much agree with all your points in this video, as someone who's only experienced ow2 gameplay for a few hours. very fun but i can also see why people rage at this game so much

First time playing overwatch cuz I was too poor to get a gaming pc/console back in its hay day. But I gotta say, ITS SO FUN HOW HAVE I BEEN MISSING OUT?The toxicity is a problem but I got friends to coordinate with anyways. My only gripe is I can’t be play mkb on console when I queue up with pc friends. I don’t play on controller and even if I did, there’s no sim assist when u play with pc ppl.

I know it's literally the same game, but for some reason I'm having a lot more fun playing OW2 than I did playing OW
Less shields, less cc, and less ults fixes most of the problems the game had. The battle pass system is really scummy atm though.
because its not literally the same game. I'm sorry but its such hyperbole when people say OW 1 and OW2 is the exact same game. They're so different in so many ways. Imagine any other team based shooter and they remove or add another person to each side? Or imaging LOL getting rid of the vast majority of stuns/freezes lol. Its ridiculous that people assume its the same game, and its the reason why people who play OW2 like they did in OW1, especially supports and tanks, will drop in rank and stay much lower because you have to play completely differently now.
@@erickim1739 No, it would be like if Riot games did a complete item overhaul like they did in season 10, of if they buffed every assassin like they did with the assassin patch or the mage patch or the jungle overhauls and so on and so on. It's still the same game despite those massive changes. Overwatch is still the same core game, despite those changes.

Remember, this game is full of rude people. But for support, remember that you can damage AND heal. You aren't a heal-bot, but you also are not a damage dealer.

Me and my friend haven't ever played OW until OW2. finally got into the game last night and we had a blast! We've been getting a little frustrated with Apex and desperately needed a new game. So much fun! Honestly I like the f2p set up they have, no complaints.

The only tank that fully feels OP is Zarya. She’s virtually unkillable and does way too much damage. Every other tank is either unkillable and meh (Ball for example) or does damage but has an actual plan to burst down. That plan might be 2-3 people bursting the tank, running characters they can’t reach, running characters that ignore their sustain, just plain facing Doomfist, or the DPS taking out the opposing supports and/or dps.
However Sombra and Sojourn need addressing. Both are overly oppressive DPS, with Sombra needing a slight damage nerf and Sojourn needing *something* done about her.
I really like how the heros are unlocked. You don't need to play well or whatever you just need to play.
They said its so that new players arent overwhelmed but this feels super excessive like i almost exclusively played wrecking ball on my sisters account and i have another 113 games to play/56 to win in order to pick him back up
Also all the new heroes are locked behind free pass progression and honestly i kind of wish they just had an option to make you pay once to let you skip all that bs and also not make it fucking impossible to get legendary skins
