Rev’s rework makes sense lore wise but I do hope that this opens the door for more reworks. There are way more legends that have lower pick rates/worse abilities that def need a rework

You don't have to super glide to do an animation cancel, if you release the tactical button after sliding down from the edge for example a box or rooftop, it works fine

Here is another tip for Revenant: Normally, if you try to pop his tactical into roofed areas or inside of buildings, you might bonk your head on the ceiling. However, you can actually pop your tactical on the ground and then look forward, you will get a lower jump, and you will be able to move faster. It is very easy to execute, and I recommend using this trick to your advantage in future games.
The Newcastle and Rev combo should be called. New-Rev since… you know it’s a new rev

I wish they would have reworked him to keep him as an assault legend, and kept the team play potential with his ult
I think because his new abilities don't do any damage and he is a movement legend now, assault wouldn't have been a good fit for the rework.

@@bryce5680nah, that furthers down the problem of having one character in the bottom of pick rates and one on top, what you wanted to say is they could have buffed him, I would prefer his old ult with his new tactical, would be super cool. But this is also super cool

Personally, I actually like the old revenant better. He's one of, if not the only character with an ability cancel. That's really special considering, like you said, everybody's a scan legend now. I like the wall climb part tho, that's cool and he really needed that. Also his old ultimate was to literally have a second life that his team could use. I don't really see how his new ultimate makes any sense in the lore. How can he produce shields by himself, and if it's by some external device, why can't he give it to his team? But I'm just ranting, love your videos, you always do an amazing job, see you on the next one.
Same I think this is actually a huge debuff to rev, his uniqueness to a massive hit for the sake of yet another fucking meta oriented kit. The homogenizing of legends is quite disappointing and makes the game feel stale often times. I understand gunplay, but part of what got me into the game is the character abilities meshing with the gunplay. This is the same problem rainbow six siege encountered for a while. Only difference is, gunplay in siege is focused on a one shot headshot. So regardless of ability you can be easily denied. Apex simply doesn't have that
Now Seer's the only one, if I remember correctly, that disables your abilities, being his tactical. Sure, it's a bit "copy-pasted", but he still works somewhat.
I'll add, he also pairs well with Vantage. Vantage has the issue of opening a fight with her ult, and getting the damage boost, but then either has to use her tactical to confirm the kill or keep it to escape. Revenant can capitalize on the mark quickly and use it to start with an early advantage. Revenant, Newcastle, and Vantage make a strong ranked comp.

One correction - Revenant's passive tags enemies for his teammates when he makes them low (I think around 40hp or under), not when he cracks their armor.

My main issue (which I’m surprised no one else has really been talking about) is when in out shield you DO NOT GET DAMAGE MARKERS (the arrow that points to where you’re being shot from) it’s small but it’s caused me to die once or twice because I’m looking for the last guy and don’t realize I’m the one being shot at and damaged until my rev shield is gone. It’s small and more of a pet peeve cause otherwise I LOVE th ends rev as an OG rev main, but it’s worth mentioning.
I overall loved the new Revenant (as much as i also loved silecing Wraiths and Pathfinders and watch them struggle as they cannot use their escape abilities), but one complaint i have is that i feel like Revenant should be able to pull out a weapon after some seconds in the pounce
My argument is that if Path can pull put his weapon after using his grapple while still in the air, Rev should do the same

Little correction revenant does not scan through walls on enemies that have their armor cracked except when he cracks them, for that its only a highlight so you know who to target first

2:57 one thing I would like to add is that disruptor rounds are on the alternator and hammerpoint rounds are on the RE-45 so, there is potential for a combo
I'll miss the disable, the silence was a hard counter to scan legends, or Catalyst so they can't get their combos off. Now there's no one who can really counter abilities

Pro tips: looking down when fully charged ability let's you move very quickly ( it's like a octane jump pad.)
You can also animation cancel by sliding off a ledge. Its pretty simple!

One thing that's helped me mid fight is using the short tac into crouch walk from cover and using the tac when looking down

Agree on everything EXCEPT that revenants a selfish legend. On the contrary, he's a team player. When using his ult you don't have to get a kill to refill your protection, you just need to get an assist then boom 75 plus health. You can soak up allll that damage thus protecting your teammates and those teammates can refill your protection. Theoretically, you can have INFINITE health if you and your teammates can get knocks. you soak up damage, hit 1 r99 bullet, let you teammates kill them, you get 75 hp, rince and repeat till all of them are dead.
