Few extra tips for Sojourn; You get 5 energy for a body shot and 10 for headshot (3 for armour). For the Power Slide, you can only get the jump if on any surface. You can also tap jump, cancel with PS and then jump again if you want to go higher rather than further. It is good to switch primary and secondary fire on console (think of it like Soldier with his Helix Rockets).
I’ll definitely try the primary and secondary fire control switch but I have to say so far I have been really having a ton of issues with the default controls. Sojourn is my DPS main. I’m gonna try to branch out to the other classes of heroes so I can have a main or two in all three categories. Only then will I begin to play competitively.

sojourn is the opposite of soldier in so many ways soldier has a hitscan primary fire and a projectile secondary fire, sojourn has the opposite he has a lotta horizontal mobility, she has a lot of verticle his e creates a field of healing, hers creates a field of damage his ult is an aimbot, hers requires aim he's american, she's canadian he's a white man, she's a black woman his primary color is blue, hers is red she's got thick thighs, he's got thick shoulders

It's a very clever way to design characters, intentionally leaving blank spaces to fill them up with whatever comes out of brainstorming sessions later. It may seem cheap, but as a writer myself I admit, it's pretty damn efficient.
It's pretty neat how she has some voicelines that reference another technology is the future person from Activision Blizzard's arsenal, Prophet from Black ops 3 and 4.
The reason why sojourn is half cyborg like genji, is because when she was a baby she suffered from a virus like cancer. But over watch fixed her and she got special surgery.
Or you know, Blizzard just have fetish for mutilation. Even from original starting roster, at least half of heroes had missing limbs and/or body implants.
I think she is genuinely hard to use because u also need to have a very good game sense with the ability to know when to use your abilities and her aim is something to get used to especially since she isn’t a frontline type of damage character and should stay a bit back so the projectile bullets are shown or felt a bit more
2:13 Actually in Calling Amination short, she ignores Winston's call but still works as vigilant, and in Liberation, she helps Overwatch about Null Sector but doesn't rejoin because she has a reason why Overwatch shut down.

My recommendation for her would be to lower her magazine size from 45 to 30 and to nerf the damage of the discount graviton surge, but maybe give it a little more pull/slowdown. Also maybe give a slight chargeup effect for the rail gun like 0.5 seconds or something like that, make it a little more skillful to aim since you have to track a little while it charges.
