Aerial support. They tell you where the suspect has gone in some stages, and each time, it's different in terms of direction.

im looking for very similar game to it. i played it about 20 years ago on arcade machines
chasing other cars, had to destroy them but it was possible to shot them cause there was 2 buttons on steerring wheel
things im not sure i remember correctly: in one level had to destroy big truck, it was possible to call helicopter for help to shot chased car, last level was only about to reach finish before end of time to see special ending (rescuing fome girl i think)

As for the steering wheel triggers, that was something the US didn't have since the gun trigger was on the shifter.
