Good to see Steve McNally playing the flagship Korg, I remember speaking with Steve many moons ago when the Korg PA80 was the king of the keyboard world, and it so happened at that time Steve was indeed in a Parking lot sat in his car talking to me in little England (GB) on his cell phone :) it was a pleasure to chat him keep up the good work Steve greetings and merry XMAS!
Great job showing the capabilities of this keyboard. I'm more of a music workstation type and honestly did not know what these professional arranger keyboards were all about. Now I get it. It's my childhood 1-finger chord progression plus rhythm Casio on steroids. And I understand how the one-man-show cruise ship lounge musicians/singers put together their set. Standard track-based sequences would have taken forever to lay down and configure for performance, so they must have had a professional arranger keyboard like this! Now where's my Mai Tai...
Patrick Freeman this keyboard is awesome !! since you own one, can you tell me if the style Steve uses to play Santana at the 18th minute is in the PA4X ? Thank you !
This is indeed a " fabulous " key board ! - I am now 80 years ' , and have had many in my time , just one thing ! - on this model " Korg " have changed their - system of use , to a New ' modelling . So some older use' " ers " might have to learn again ! .-cheers .
Hello Mister McNally, thank you for this Demo. It is a near perfekt Keyboard, a very good Manufactory and a very sympatic Keyboardplayer. I like your easy to understand and detailed Informations with perfect Samples. I´m a Yamaha Tyros 4 Player but my next will be the PA4X. All the best to you.
I own a Kawai CP-207. The Leslie is keyed by the UNA CORDA pedal....this guy has to use his left hand to slow the Leslie, Much easier using my left foot.. When I owned an X77 Hammond organ we used the mechanical Leslie switch on the left BUT we had pedals for the bass to keep the sound going--this simple keyboard is far more inferior, and I'm only using one example. Also, this is not 88 key and I would never go near anything but wooden weighted 88 keys.
Seeing as you can assign a foot switch for Joystick's +Y on Kronos, I don't see why they'd have left it out on PA4x. Most likley it just wasn't relevant to mention on the video. As for your keybed choice, that's a tremendous mistake. Surely, most of it falls back to the user's preference, but buying an arranger or workstation KB, on which you may need to to perform... lots of things other then pianos, EPs, and orchestral sounds, fully weighted keys get on the way. Even worst for wooden. As an organist, this should have been quite obvious for you. Is there even a PA4x competitor (thus in the Arranger cathegory) with fully weighted 88 keys keybed? Sounds quite absurd to me. It's weird enough on a WS, let alone on a Arrenger XD Cheers
Hey, is it possible after recording something with a style, to only edit ie. the bass of that style? So I have a style, I love everything about it, except I want another bass, or the drums has to be a little bit different, can I then change that and keep the rest of the style?
Yes it certainly is... you can change everything, patch, drum kits, effects, EQ.. even the the riffs themselves. And the action is SO much 'nicer' than the tyros... and the fact that you can upload a midi file and it'll convert it to a style is gold dust...
YES...I have a PA300 and you can edit all instruments in ALL styles on the pa300, so pa4x should also have this facility...eg...std drums change to techno drums, slap bass to finger bass...piano to strings...you get the drift...
The touch screen interface is kind of a downer for me, they tend to break down overtime. I prefer a simple button interface like the old arranger keyboards, they can really last longer for a more affordable price range.
I own a Kork Krome and there is no phone number available to talk to a tech as there is with Yamaha and other companies. This is stumbling block as to whether or not I will buy another Korg product.
KORG PA 4X ORIENTAL then it is more complete? because it has the sounds of Middle Eastern and Western sounds? Could you tell me what difference KORG PA 4X WITH ORIENTAL? THANK YOU

I just heard the sample from the Yamaha Genos keyboard and the guy who play's the instrument (Martin Harris), which are both MONSTERS, sorry Korg, you got no chance at all!
Korg PA 4x anyday.... sound output you get when plug Korg keyboards on stage speakers is incomparable. Normal speakers do not do much justice to all inbuilt waveform and sounds, but when you plug this instrument to real speakers, is when you realise the sound quality. Nothing comes close to it. Considering the fact that you need this instrument for real performances, or studio recordings because that is where you need keyboards like PA4x and Genos.... Lastly, Genos does not look good. It is fat, shapeless, non stylish. God knows what the designers of Genos ate before starting the designing of the instrument. Tyros was such a smart looking instrument. Korg PA 4x is the smartest looking and best sounding Arranger keyboard in the market.
Sam Lynn Genos is the best arranger on the market, it has the sound of the incredible Yamaha CFX piano but also it has the sound of the most recorded piano in history, the Yamaha C7. Genos has the most realistic sounds on the market with Super Articulation 2 technology and Megavoices Technology, but also it has a lot of Drum kits, with up to 26 layers stereo drum samples and wave cycling.
I have the Kronos 2, and after 2 years, I am still utterly amazed at how fantastic it sounds, and how powerful a workstation it really is. Best of all, and this really is important, look at how many 3rd party sound designers are offering high end professional sounds. For the Kronos, the library of 3rd party sounds is staggering, i just bought these top notch orchestral/choir sounds, and I feel like I just bought a brand new 2018 workstation with state of the art, movie quality orchestral sounds, it's unbelievable! Plus, I've yet to see a sequencer that's as powerful as the Kronos, I've been sequencing Bach and Mussorgsky's compositions, and the Kronos can handle such masterpiece compositions just fine. If money is no object, the Kronos is my suggestion, you can't go wrong. The others are all good, for sure, but it's a question, do you want the best or just real good synths/workstations - i think at this point, anything you pick will be nice. But Kronos is not just nice, it's awesome!
An interesting instrument. Well made and good sounding. The sounds are good. Today, for 1000 dollars on a computer, you can produce a song in studio quality. In further development, Korg should maximize the size of the samples. Genos took a big step forward and the styles sound more interesting, more dance than in Koru. Korg should employ good aranzers who would make more professional styles, squeeze out the maximum possibilities of the instrument, especially in the rhythms of Dance, disco 80 years, and more synthetic sounds with high sampling for this music. I am waiting impatiently for the successor of Korga Pa 4x.
I too have the 900 and it is very good instrument. There is a tremendous opportunity to adjust the sounds. In many ways, I loved my old Ketron X1.for ease to control, and I have owned at least 6 instruments.
It is too bad that arranger keyboards are not so popular in America. The only manufacture that promotes using orchestrated background styles is Lowrey. But the problem is that Lowrey only limits their Virtural Orchestra instruments to the elderly and the retired, as these wonderful instruments can be enjoyed by any age group.
Hi ‘ to you at “Craft ,- just a comment on - Why as yet no “ Good” demo on the new 1000 model ,which has been classified as a Dam Good model, & for the price ,most could afford it , so why not ? - cheers .
The Austrian piano on the Kronos blows all other pianos away by a long shot. It's expensive to buy, but it's a lot cheaper than buying a 9 ft Steinway grand. I don't know why he raves about the fact the piano sounds are not looped, so what? What synth these days loops their piano? Nobody!
Dear Manufacturers of Yamaha, Casio, Roland, Korg, M-AUDIO, Novation keylaunch Keyboard Engineers, I humbly request you all, Either your Keyboards are good quality or bad quality, First you modify and add 8 Tone Registration banks buttons towards right side of the keyboard as it is in PSR 1100 & PSR 2100, which will be more convenient to operate immediately the tones one after the other during live programs Or for Studio Recordings. But where as I have come across most of the Yamaha, Casio, Roland, Korg keyboards, which is most inconvenient to operate the tone banks, which is in Calculator type, I deeply hesitate this type of worst egineering plan, Don't say that this type of engineering plan is impossible in this modern technology. Everything is possible but except giving life to human body. Dear Amazon, Flipkart, or any other sellers, I kindly request you to intimate this issue to the keyboard manufacture, I am writing this review on behalf of all Keyboard players, Thanks & Regards , Elkana David, KGF.
Promoting lots of retro hardware is just a manufacturer's ploy to get money out of people when they realised that making music on computers with software made far less profit for them. I started with hardware music in the late 70s, spent loads of money on it until I went digital in 2004 and have bought pretty much no hardware since. Would never ever go back to the bad old days of expensive clutter and spaghetti junction in my home when I have one computer, one card, one controller and one mixer and one software. All lovely, and all that's necessary.
J W This keyboard is not for making music in computer or for making albums. This is for live performances something sadly PCs or laptops cannot do till now. Even the main stage by Apple is not a reliable live performance setup.
Dude's acting like the dual rotary acceleration system hasn't been done by everyone the last 15 years. And not just that. Every feature shown here is old and overdone. The sound quality overall is good though. But still don't pretend that the saxophone captures the "nUancES" of the real thing. Demo should be 1 min long, saying: "Well, it's the same thing you've seen before, but we've improved the sounds a little. Now pay 3.5 grand".
Holy smoke, is it really that expensive? How's it compare to the Kronos, I looked at the specs, doesn't seem to even come close, yet this guy is telling us it's their flagship workstation. Does it even have 9 synth engines or a full fledge sequencer, not to mention 54 G internal HD as on the Kronos? It does look beautiful, the screen is a HUGE improvement from Korg's rather boring white lit screen. But face it, when I hear it doing things the Kronos does, I may consider a rack mount if they ever come up with one. They make these master keyboards, where are all the rack mounts to go with them, we don't need more than one 88 keyboard, that's more than enough! He Bo, I think you're exactly right, just another excuse for Korg to sell a synth that's already been done a thousand times. But I love the new screen, beautiful! And it tilts, it's about time! Put the outside features on the Kronos, and you have one hell of a workstation!
Hello “ = personally ,all boards are different in menu ways’ etc , I say the ( organs on the genos ‘ are old samples & don’t do anything what so ever for me! ! , same old organs that they’re had for years ( No new samples what so ever ‘, = Korg organs are real samples of - Hammond ( C3s / B3s & more , Fabulous! , saying that - Yamaha are better in Big bands & many others sounds & overall sound quality, cheers , you buy what your personal choice is , cheers to you .
It is a big mystery to me how Korg PA's are so popular when you can get better piano, sax, nylon guitar and a few other acoustic sounds even on the lowest 500 euros Yamaha Psr S670 model, even vs a 2800 euros Pa4X !
Can this keyboard play samples across the keyboard...Obvious question, but why o why can someone not show what the obvious or not so obvious instrument can do. There are way too many demos talking about naunce control drawbars etc...WHO CARES...i want to know what NEW NEW NEW features these SO CALLED top of the range instruments HAVE..most of what this gentleman talks about are allready known about, TALK about other stuff that may be of interest to others...oh and why is there a dual midi player AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH... rant over.
@@mrityunjaytripathi5588 Actually that's not the case.If you are a professional keyboardist ,you choose something reliable to perform with.I am a professional keyboardist and i use to play with Yamaha's keyboards.Recently i bougth the PA4X and at the begining i was disapointed, but when i figured out the problem i change my mind. And the problem was that you have to customize your pa4x and believe me the capacity of this instrument is huge! The sound on a full Pa system prodused by this beast is unexpected! And sound quality in live performance better than Yamaha's.But this is my persona opinion!
Instrumetn with high potential, but the Korg company should focus on style dance as Yamaha does. Many styles are not needed at all. Dance styles are the basis, and in Korg such lacking. The method of arranging a large part of styles is also very unfinished. More synth sounds for dance, disco 80s and decent drums for dance, techno, pop, because those which instrument is medium to me. 20% style is useful. Let Korg master Yamaha's example of how it's done. Of course Korg's sound has better but worse styles.

This keyboard Rocks.
Patrick Freeman this keyboard is awesome !!

I love the way Steve makes this demo. Very nice.
I will wait for PA5x! Now Im with PA2x Pro and I love it, a little bit old but VERY GOOD!
you better wait for 6x because i thing 5x it will not make big difference.
Awaiting 7X for the ultimate... No rush, I've got Note 8! Lol 😂 😊
Listening more.... This is amazing !
I love beautiful presets !
MY FAVORITE KEYBOARD KORG PA 4X. HY FROM MÉXICO. GOD BLES YOU MY BROTHER
4 part harmony wow I need this
keyboard
Go to school learn how to sing. LoL !!! ha ha ha
Love it from the first sight, it looks sleek rather than the features it comes with.
I still can't get the fact why can't korg make their sounds better? The samples r raw. It isn't even processed properly
él pa4x merece un mejor presentador !! ...
Excellent workstation and demo!!!!!!!!!!!!
Amazing keyboard and fantastic demo

It's called progress. You can achieve the same functionality you describe with trigger pedals and assign functions to it. The PA4x is a masterpiece.
Seeing as you can assign a foot switch for Joystick's +Y on Kronos, I don't see why they'd have left it out on PA4x. Most likley it just wasn't relevant to mention on the video.

The old Korg PA 50 had a marvelous set of built in speakers. How are these in comparison?
Very nice demo! Thank you!

Hello, everyone. Can somebody answer ? Is it really necessary always to keep the battery inside of the Pa4x ?
Great Demo.
do you have any sheet jazz music for piano and some the other well , can you for me ?
Can anyone say me what is that finger sensor under the pitch bend called?
name is Ribbon control
Ribbon control, it's like a slide effect when you do guitar and synth sounds.
That is a ribbon you slide your finger on it.
ribbon controller
pa900 is also wonderful
The touch screen interface is kind of a downer for me, they tend to break down overtime. I prefer a simple button interface like the old arranger keyboards, they can really last longer for a more affordable price range.
I own a Kork Krome and there is no phone number available to talk to a tech as there is with Yamaha and other companies. This is stumbling block as to whether or not I will buy another Korg product.
Thanks.
Please you more up quality screen tach.
Why hasn't speakers to pa 4x
KORG PA 4X ORIENTAL then it is more complete? because it has the sounds of Middle Eastern and Western sounds? Could you tell me what difference KORG PA 4X WITH ORIENTAL? THANK YOU
I love Jigs and Reels so I am wondering are there any styles to fit my needs
there is some display or any other problem with this keyboard..??
Korg Pa3x?
Steve McNally. can you please make sense why would pa3x have 3 master effects for FXb for keyboard sounds but pa4x has 2. ???
I didn't see transpose on it and that comes in handy.
you can change the transpose in real time
22:08
Yep it comes in handy
On every damn keyboard or synth demo video they make it doesn't matter if it is korg, yamaha or roland they always play the organ then some stupid saxaphones guitars but they never play E pianos like the dyno, fm and more
most of the tings are old stuf. You Cand find them even on the pa1x pro, but gerenarlly a good keybord, even if the difference between tha Pa3x and Pa4x isn't so big
Hi, how I can send channels 3 and 4 a count?
sound board is 24biti or 16 biti?
I would like to ask how can I connect headphones by Bluetooth with that keyboard
Where can I get karaoke. ...xg ...midi lyrics n all those song formats you mentioned.
where is the Buy It Now Button Man.
vclik, You'll find the PA4X for sale at the following link: www.kraftmusic.com/brands/korg/arrangers/pa4x/?

Kraft Music
Are these better then Kronos
Different kind of beast.
Indeed... the kronos is also a beast... but for a solo entertainer I've found nothing better than this fella
Amazing....
well done !
does it include an oriental scale like yamaha ??
You can adjust a scale via global setup
I love korg i like to have presently using casio
I just heard the sample from the Yamaha Genos keyboard and the guy who play's the instrument (Martin Harris), which are both MONSTERS, sorry Korg, you got no chance at all!
There is no STS on my Pa4x ....is it a multunction? My songbook doesnt work
What solo instrument should that be at 5:27 min? Sounded like a toy saxophone.
That's a saxophone tone and not a toy as you say, we can only hear the sound for 2 seconds... too short to realize that's a toy saxo !
Wat een top key is dat
Wow. These babies go for more than Kronos.
Wurlitzer?! I have a Wurlitzer Organ in my Living room!! WOW!!
First Song pls :D 0:01sec :D
Why do all keyboard demonstrations sound like the theme of an 80's sit com ? Naf drums and boring sounds.
Would you recommend the Genos or this korg?

Same thing goes when you output Genos to nice monitor speakers
What exactly you wanna say?
Does sostenuto work on KORG PA4X?
i like this keybord
Who always wanted to see this video completely but couldn't do because of lack of time
can i change my manual bass when it's in split mode?
very nice great
Is it possible to add (load) sounds to PA4x to user bank straight from midi module like Roland Integra7

What is a "ribbon controller"?
The small field at the bender wich you draw your finger on tweaki´n sounds or effects. It´s like the pad on your laptop but more narrow.
mrmongo673 its a ribbon that you can use it for controlling. 😂
mrmongo673 its a ribbon that you control.
No one makes looped Pianos samples
No one except KORG xD
I use the pa900, Very good instrument does what I want it to do and costs half of this

imho, the Yamaha Genos is the better choice...
double the price for not much better performance. Korg has better functionality. Can purchase a Kronos 2 and PA4x for the price of a Genos
Agreed, 100x better.. just saw the demo from the Yamaha page.. holy smokes!!! Unreal..
It is a big mystery to me how Korg PA's are so popular when you can get better piano, sax, nylon guitar and a few other acoustic sounds even on the lowest 500 euros Yamaha Psr S670 model, even vs a 2800 euros Pa4X !
they are designed for one man bands that play at weddings....very popular with the middle eastern and asian crowd
i use pa600

Can this keyboard play samples across the keyboard...Obvious question, but why o why can someone not show what the obvious or not so obvious instrument can do. There are way too many demos talking about naunce control drawbars etc...WHO CARES...i want to know what NEW NEW NEW features these SO CALLED top of the range instruments HAVE..most of what this gentleman talks about are allready known about, TALK about other stuff that may be of interest to others...oh and why is there a dual midi player AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH... rant over.
Marty C Yes, it does have a full sampler with 400 mb user available data (800 mb if the samples are compressed).
It very g
Az vam dojde elektrika budete v koncich, tavaristi.😂
22:08 you can change the transpose in real time
Yep that comes in handy
The OASYS makes this look like a toy. Too bad KORG decided to quit production.
Not even close to a Yamaha Genos
never see a genos anywhere the pros play......all you see at weddings are korg
@@jacobbrown1690 because it's cheap
@@mrityunjaytripathi5588 Actually that's not the case.If you are a professional keyboardist ,you choose something reliable to perform with.I am a professional keyboardist and i use to play with Yamaha's keyboards.Recently i bougth the PA4X and at the begining i was disapointed, but when i figured out the problem i change my mind. And the problem was that you have to customize your pa4x and believe me the capacity of this instrument is huge! The sound on a full Pa system prodused by this beast is unexpected! And sound quality in live performance better than Yamaha's.But this is my persona opinion!
Yamaha Tyros is made in japan. That is what I'm getting. Not $5000 China playbox
PA4X is made in Italy. See: 27:41

Annoying song!
Run DNC.
Of course Korg's sound has better but worse styles.
the sax sound STILL sucks! especially at high velocity. yuk
Randy Chick make a better one and I’ll buy it
Party Bear well, not only the Sax sounds sucks...
