I am really impressed. I’m reading comments about cheap plastic. Well’p, this is a very light and portable keyboard for a 76 key arranger/workstation. I’ve read that the sounds are “so 80’s”, but those were the favorite sounds of the player, who chose those sounds. I love the percussion and the solo sax. The organ sounds great! I currently have an 88-key Kronos 2 and use it to also play my Integra 7. So that covers Roland and Korg sounds. The Korg has piano keys. The Genos 76 ‘synth’ organ Keys would compliment the Kronos. This is my next purchase, period! This is written at the end of March, 2018 and I hope to have the money by July or August of this year. I’ve read that the sounds are similar to the Tyros that I had previously intended to buy. I’m glad I will be getting the Genos instead. I’ve kept a Yamaha PRX4600 for 25 years, which I keep due to the unique roller bars below the keys to control modulation and key warp. The Genos will fill the void and looks loke tons of fun. I do have the Arturia V6 Collection and he Steinberg Absolute Collection that offer the classic synth, edgier trance and expansive sampled sounds. Genos: Portable, Flexible, Programable, and includes an XLR mic input . . . . I can hardly wait!
Apart from its sounds, the pitch-bend / modulation was very remarkable. I appreciate very much that Yamaha has finally turned to this joystic by abandoning the two big wheels inherited from the DX7 and its descendants. I think that the users of synthesizers KORG and ROLAND will find their pleasures there.
After having a Montage for a little over a year, this demo sounds very underwhelming. I know they're different breeds, but Montage sounds so much bigger and so much more expressive
I have the Montage and Tyros and get much more enjoyment from the Tyros. For fat, synthy, organic type sounds definitely the Montage is better but for everything else and for pure enjoyment, I'll take the Tyros and now the Genos. Both are solid keyboards but each serve a different purpose.
Beautiful demo without talk. A keyboard, no matter how well made it is, won't sound good under an unskilled performer. Kudos to Martin Harris for very skillfully showcasing (albeit quietly) the multiple facets and capabilities of the Genos. Now I wonder where the dislike came from......

Kinda like a motif Mets performance station . The fm sequence noises touched on but then steered clear of anything the synth community would want. ✌🏻👽🎶C
I got a Genos and it sounds awesome and realistic. However when one spends this kind of money on a keyboard, one would think it would include Seamless Sound Transitioning like the Montage, Kronos or the FA keyboards. It's frustrating when you switch from one sound to another and there is an abrupt stop of the first sound. Holding down the sustain pedal doesn't work. So frustrating.

There are a lot of sounds. Sounds are very beautiful ! Genos (Yamaha) is the last Yamaha, and I think it's a very quality... but the instrument is very expansive, for me !
This guy has an incredible mastery of the keyboard, and a ridiculous understanding of all forms of music, genius.
And from the way he operates that console, one hell of a computer operator!

It's a professional workstation. They're never going to be cheap.
