    Fun fact for ya... At 31:50 the video gets intermittently shaky during the time lapse segment. It took me a minute to figure out what was causing this. The air compressor was sitting too close to the tripod. Every time it would cycle on it would vibrate the camera.

      So true. I had a plumbing chain fix my blocked sump pump line. They tore up my back yard and left it that way. My landscaping company scolded me for using a plumber. They said "this is what plumbers do! They don't care about your yard. Had you used us, we would have cut out the sod, fixed the line, and replaced the sod pieces for an essentially seamless repair." Instead, I had the pay my landscaper about $1000 to till, rake, and seed the area that the plumber tore up. An expensive lesson learned.

    “I take a stroll through the house while I have the little woman deal with the very dangerous electrical box.” Isn’t there some kind of camo you can wear so you don’t scare the Queen when you want her to come out? If you had a big black and yellow bee outfit you could really put the sneak on her.

    • @michaelwilkening8542
      @michaelwilkening8542 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      The last thing you want to wear when bee wrangling is anything black. Bees naturally go for anything black because bears noses are black and that's the only place a bee can sting them because of the bears heavy coat. That is why I was surprised to see dirt rooster wearing a shirt with black on it.

    I'm a Locomotive engineer, across the tracks from our yard is the largest non-commercial Locomotive works in the world. They had pigeon problems and so staged a bunch of owl decoys on the works building.
    One day, I'm taking a set of engines off a track to go over to the next city west and shove a heavy train back over the hill (we call the jobs "helpers"). As my conductor and I are heading down the yard track to leave, we are passing a coal train on the adjacent track. Perched on one of the coal hoppers is an owl, just starting at us. I thought it was one of those decoys until we actually went passed it, and watched the feathers on its neck ruffle as it turned it's head to watch us go by. Clearances between two trains like that is somewhere between 16-24inches. That owl sat there as two 3,000hp diesel locomotives rumbled by, and only turned it's head to watch us.

    Can you imagine of humans built homes with bees in mind, allowing the bees to insulate the house within the wall, using sound proofing so you can here the bees, plus totally sealed in so nothing can escape in to said house. Allow the bees to fill all, many many hives, then we find a way to get the bees to leave by taking tye queen's to allow the workers to follow, emptying the house if bees but leaving their amazing insulating honeycomb structures, or we could use the bees to collect honey, making that little extra for consumption as well as for sale, make a little on the side, then again wed all be doing it so, who to sell to, anyways, they'd keep you in Honey, as well as keep you home warm in Winter.
    Who knows, one day peoples may actually think of this idea as a good one and use it.

    Fantastic video Randy and Mrs. I had a swarm last spring that believe it or not I found the queen on the ground below the cluster and picked her up. Went to try to put her in a queen cage and she flew off, thought to myself well that’s that. Flew around my head about 3 times and I managed to pluck her out of the air. Still hard to believe how lucky that was.

    The folks that DON'T produce content DON'T understand it! When you drive an hour or two away from your house to film a video, it makes filming that much more difficult.
    I've had folks ask why I posted a video with music in places where the audio was corrupt. It was either waste that entire filming expedition, or patch er together & save what I could. It's not like I can go back next week, & everything is right where we left off, before filming. Re-filming ISN'T an option. Having supplies enough on hand.............well, we just never know what to expect. The best we can do is have a few things we know we'll need with us, & hope for the bestest.

      Most people will never know some of what we deal with making these videos. It's still fun though and thankfully it's only a very small percentage of viewers who seem to have issues. It's funny how adding music is a guarantee of complaints, especially if it's anything but some type of country music. Any time I add R&B or new wave or anything not country I get the most complaints about my free to them content that took me two days to make.

She supports who you are and what you do, you are a lucky Man, you found a jewel and I think you know it! You guys have the relationship I wish I could have found. Don't let a day of life go by without being thankful for it, small problems are just that, small problems.

    Randy, you could buy some couger scat, or maybe dog. I know when we had deer getting into our garden the game warden said to get some couger scat and put it around. You can get it at the natural garden center. We have a place called Down to Earth, and they sell it, or get some live traps :-)
