Super excited to introduce my New WRX to the channel. Many memories and tasteful modifications to come. Instagram- 7ol6a #wrx #subaru #newvideo #newcar #2023wrx
I have the same Grey VB. I fitted the AFD paint matched +10mm fender flares last week & it really improved the look dramatically. I hated the black plastic cladding, grille & wheels but since I changed to a mesh grille with red brace bar & bronze wheels & lowering springs ( amongst many other mods) I’ve finally made the car mine. Chers from Sydney mate.👍
The WRX is nice. It's nowhere near the top performer, but you don't have to worry about crazy markups. I love my 2015 and have dumped way too much into it with Brembo brakes, engine upgrades and a rear LSD. Still, I love it more than most the new cars out there due to the markups. Also the aftermarket support due to higher sales volumes makes it a better long-term choice.
I’m keen on a i30 sedan N, but I reckon the WRX club spec (TR overseas) might be tempting. You would only need to do the wheels and tune the engine with the wrx club spec. Definitely looking forward to see what you do with this.
Have had same color same spec in the us for 6 months. It’s a great car. The handling has surprised/impressed me most of all. I already have quite a few mods and have been extremely happy with the build
I completely agree. I was just driving the 2020 wrx sti VA and don’t get me wrong I love the car but just the over all build feeling on the new car is just great. Specially the feeling it gives taking corners. Just needs the classic wrx sound
I have exactly the same car, had it 12 months, it’s seriously awesome,t rust me you won’t give the plastic a second thought because the handling and performance is second to no other wrx
Good car! I have the new shape wagon which I have added a “I Drive kit“ which does not make the car faster but cuts out all the turbo lag. Also changed the rear exhaust boxes to add some sound, shame you are in Oz as here in Nz I have a brand new Remark straight pipes which just bolt on, came from Usa but sedan ones don’t fit a wagon almost but not quite..
Ahh I had a car with it before. Really good on an auto but makes the manuals pretty annoying in take off haha. I appreciate it! My video after this actually shows what wheels and exhaust i ended up going with, if you ever want to watch it!
First !! 😊 Nice car They’re still expensive to maintain I don’t mind the look others do. I thought about buying one but for the money I found there’s better alternatives out there (my opinion) Well done and good luck.
Thank you! for your comment. I’m lucky enough to work for Subaru which definitely helped me on the price and servicing costs. I appreciate your opinion. Let me know what you end up with and thank you again.
@@7ol6a Nothing Special I decided on a Ford Puma St Line Little turbo suv not bad I just admit I’ve owned a lot of Fords I have owned about 4 wrx but earlier models. Look forward to your mods mate
I own a 2023 in Ignition red. Good car, plenty of power in stock form. 320 HP would be more than enough without over stressing the engine and drive train. The manual transmission works perfectly if you have good skills.
I hate the new WRX, but as long as you like it, and have a vision for what you want to make, I say go for it. Don't listen to haters, its not their car. Also 90% of the haters are either 14 or drive a 95 corolla.. Best of luck on the build.
Nice car. I currently have a 2020 wrx and am considering of getting one. Funny, here in Canada, RS name is used for a high trim with Brembo brakes and Recaro seats.
@@7ol6a yes. Weird thing is in US it is called TR too. I prefer looks of my VA WRX but the engine is so finicky and the car is very slow in stock form. For modifying, VB seems to be a better platform overall. I dont mind plastic cladding on fenders. But I wish they’d do a quick refresh on the ugly rear bumper 😀
Yes and no. Club spec is great but I like the sunroof, seats and front / side cameras / better speakers etc. Club spec is nice tho for sure. Good car to collect
The new wrx needs too many mods and tweaks to make it good. I had the 2022 one. Got rid of it in less than a year. If they make STI again, I’d try again.
Oh definitely I agree. You kinda have to go into getting one with that mind set. They aren’t making another STI sadly but Subaru are realising a WRX TR with recaro seats, brembos and sti wing from factory. I’ve driven the 2020 WRX sti and the 2022+ wrx and yes it’s more personal preference but I just really like the over all handling in the 2022+ wrx’s over the older models Appreciate the comment!
Why not i30n sedan? Bit More power, better interior, better brakes, more track focused, same price.. I think wrx is better if you mod it but i30n better stock for stock
Just personal preference really. I'm not much of a fan of Hyundai's and front wheel drive cars unless its the fl5 haha. You're right tho stock to stock the I30n is better, but yes of course I dont plan on keeping it stock
best looking WRX to date, new TR is awesome
Nice car man. About to pick one of these up in the US. Looking forward to following along what you do with it.
can't wait for your build. also can't wait to get mine

Your new WRX looks so good in the Magnetite Grey, enjoy it and safe motoring 👍
Mate, i have tried many times to answer your question on your last vid, but it will not post ? Ice Silver 👍
Totally agree, ordered same colour rs. Can’t wait. Nice to see your vid.
Awesome car man, excited to see what you do with it!
Thank you 🙏🏼🙏🏼

keep your work!
Really appreciate it!. Great work on your end as well!!
Awesome looking car😍
Considering to change my mx5 for this
Mx5’s are definitely a lot of fun. Tho if you’re after something turbo / awd and some space the new wrx is killer !
bro lives in the Evangelion universe

Strange how us skyline owners are buying wrx’s. Good video to watch and I agree with everything you said.
nice choice man

I have owned about 4 wrx but earlier models.
Look forward to your mods mate
i just did a cobb stage 2 on my base 2023 wrx+ and also some 18x9.5 hypergrams. im gonna target handing next.
Oh perfect size!. I’m aiming to run the same but I’ll leave what wheels I got for a up coming video :)

Couldn’t have said it better myself.
Sometimes if you like something you like something.
thanks man look forward to making more videos around it !
Have you even driven one?
that thing looks awesome man. actually never know there was an "rs" version of the wrx. Not too familiar with the trim levels hehe
Appreciate it. Yeah America, Japan and Australia have all different specs sadly so it’s weird
Nice car. I currently have a 2020 wrx and am considering of getting one. Funny, here in Canada, RS name is used for a high trim with Brembo brakes and Recaro seats.
It’s so funny what they’ve done with the specs. Brembo model here is called TR Club Spec. Definitely from wrx to wrx it’s a nice jump up !

Beautiful car, i'm thinking about ice silver. Did dealer give a big discount on the 23 compared to 24?
Yes definitely over the 2024.
2024 have all those safety features which increased the price. Personally less safety features the better for me
Congrats man, you will love it but your wallet won’t! Hard to not mod it
beautiful man
planning to buy mid year
@@richiecubarol9289 appreciate it!. Definitely look forward to that for you
What’s it like having the steering wheel on the right
Honestly the best benefit is just being able to import any car from Japan and not being weird to drive on the roads.
Should’ve get the club spec mate

I’m sure it differs from location to location but I wouldn’t want to deal with a Hyundai dealership.
Should have saved up an extra 5k and got an RS3, but that's just me.
That’s fair everyone is different man. I’m not to interested in a used rs3 for a daily but they are sick cars
@7ol6a 💯 enjoy the car brotha
No way. RS3 doesn’t have a manual. WRX is way more engaging to drive!
6:09 nice Honda civic mate, oh wait I mean Subaru
step 1 : sell
step 2 : import something from Japan
Haha! This is from japan and I also have a r34. But I like your thinking
@@7ol6a

It IS an import from Japan. 😅
Stupid choice! 😂👎💯
Why you coming at me like that yuri haha. Lets see! I have a nice vision for it
