Love the content! Not the big gay wing….
@@jakeeames725 HAHA! I love the honesty. Appreciate it
That WRX is so nice! CE28 are spot on. Proof you can keep the cladding and the car will still be nice 👍
@@mathinflames thanks bro!, yeah it’s actually grown on me a lot. Although I still will be going complete paint matched very soon
My wing had installed by Dmaker. I can see the wing has vibration in the centre rear view mirror when the car drive on the rough road or drive on the bumpy road. Just wondering whether your wing got this issue?thanks
@@davidchow11 mine did. Actually in this video mine had a slight hairline fracture causing the issue. Just have a look over it to make sure there isn’t any cracks on it
@@7ol6athanks for the reply, I’ll check my one, Also I found actually there are two different part number for the trunk weather seal, one is 57532vc010 which is the car came with the sti wing in Japan. But in Australia the trunk weather seal part number is 57532vc000, this one only for the small spoiler. Better to change the trunk weather seal and adjust trunk lock otherwise the trunk lid gonna always hit the bumper when you driving on bumpy road.
U drive in track mode or everything off or tourque vectoing off or whatever the orher mode is called(the other mode)
With manual turning off traction control puts the car in “ Track mode “ and yes I was driving with traction control off
Say "g'day" to mates Marty and Moog.
Next time I go i definitely will
I just got me a '24 WRX. Internet says "best wrx" to date. If so, i couldnt imagine how unsophisticated the previous generation are! The wrx is alright for what it is. I wanted an AWD car and the WRX was cheapest.
@@isaacchavez1425 oh WRX to WRX the old wrx doesn’t even compare. The fact that the new WRX is being compared to the previous STI and personally from my experience it’s a better car then the last gen sti as well, just some small cost cuts from Subaru like the breaks and LSD which kill it and again that’s only if you track the car other wise it’s amazing for the money
Im guessing helmets are required?
@@kbfan2424 yeah for Australia at least it’s always required
car looks great. factory brakes definitely need some work but otherwise love this car. do you have any tire rubbing with the coilover set up?
Breaks Definitely are the first change then power modifications. No rubbing surprisingly although I’m sure when I do run 255’s I might have to trim inside the guards or go the 10mm wider guards.
Thank you for the spin around SMP i enjoyed the ride, your Rex performed nicely, and well done to you.. I agree the brakes on the VB are not brilliant compared to my previous 4 WRX, for my driving now i can live with that. Thanks again , take care 👍
Legend ! Thanks rob always appreciate it. Keen to upgrade them and head back again
I found that with the Burger Tuning JB4, it makes the car have lots more torque from about 2500rpm until redline. Granted, your assesment of the brakes is true, probably the cars weak point IMO. Still a fun car and I love mine but after a few months, I still dream of what an STi could have been with this chasis! Great vid!
Appreciate it bro!. I know unfortunately Subaru has left the StI tuning into our own hands. I can’t wait to take this chassis further and see what it actually can do
Good looking WRX!
Stock fenders look better. I wouldnt have went the with the wing but everything else is a masterpiece. Those ce28's are godly.
Did you end up shaving the plastic fender flares for the wheels?
@@Joey-k9y I didn’t. Tho good thing with the plastic guards is they self clear if you do rub
Man I want those wheels so bad 🔥🔥
~5k$ CAD for them. I'm looking at matte bronze enkei triumphs
Hey bro where’s that spot u stopped to take photos of the rexy
@@DFRANSO hey bro, it’s the next entry down from the main gates and go left at the round about
I have the premium and the seats are great. I mean how many times do you need to adjust your seat? I do miss the sunroof. The car has been nothing but a surprise. I enjoy it
I was on the hill at Zedfest!
What a video bro such a amazing day!!
@@TunersEvolution bro such a good day. Great catching up as well
Thank you for the Vlog, a nice day out to take the cars for a spin around the track. The Rex is looking good 😉 👍
@@robalexander7348 honestly such good Weather, cars and peoples. Always appreciate it man
Stock suspension?
@@polanyowrx9457 hey man and no I’m running BC Coilovers
Making me second geuss for going with rally blue. The car looks amazing
I love the the VB drivetrain. I know folks might want more raw power which is understandable but as a daily this car is excellent. Even with slight throttle application you just ride the boost and it never feels "slow". Lot more responsive than the STi, especially during normal driving. I have been a fan of Burger Motorsports and have owned JB4's for a few of my cars but the one for the WRX makes it feel absolutely perfect. Highly recommended if you want an extra kick. Cheers!!
@@FSAviators oh i completely agree. I driven and 2019 STI and my VB back to back and everything you said is exactly what I felt. After my track day video I’m gonna start slowing improving areas I feel I need also I’ll see how much responsive fun power I can make as well.
What size wheel and speck of wheel and tire size you use
Well done mate It’s a good car It looks great I’m getting one and I’m old
@@Michael-m2l8b exciting ! Congratulations as well
I thought the rs has brembos and Ricardo seats?
Its weird. Not in Australia although I believe the brembo model is a TR and TS for 2025.
Mustafa ingiliz kaşıyınan fransız boku karıştırmayın türkçe konuşun
What body kit?
@@elinavarro3593 body kit is a R34 east bear kit
Do not put these on your e46 people please, either get some good shocks and lowering springs or spend $1500+ for good coilovers
@@FELIPE8226M all depends. They’re more than fine for street applications. I’ve had them on my cars for 1-3 years
@7ol6a I guess it's a hit or miss glad they have served you well
@@FELIPE8226M you’re right tho they are hit or miss. I agree pay the extra $$ for BC’s but these are good for max 3 years
@7ol6a I paid $1200 for some ISC coilovers and I want to swap them out for bilstein/eibach, they dont ride that good at all maybe I have the preload wrong or something but I'm regretting buying them lol
@7ol6a My car has aftermarket sway bars also so maybe that makes the ride worse on the street I guess
I thought the RS or TR Models all had Brembo brakes front and rear and also come with 19 inch wheels?
Not in Australia sadly. Models are all over the place. Australia had a limited spec with those features called Club spec. I’m sure next year we’ll get a TS with everything tho
@@7ol6a Interesting for sure. In Canada we don't get the TR model but we get the RS and it has the brembo and 19 inch wheels with recaro seats and the sunroof delete.
The depreciation is much worse than the cladding
@@Thtblkwrx 😂 We do live in an odd time. I try not look into cars as a asset
Well done, both cars are progressing well for you 👍
@@robalexander7348 always appreciate it brother. Can’t wait for them to sit next to each other
Love your car dude, hopefully it’s finished pretty soon. How does the car drive for you and handle? I saw those thick tires you had on the car so just wondering
@@idontgotagun9867 hopefully bro! I can’t wait as well. I run 275’s all round and it handles like a dream. I do want to upgrade sway bars and bushings soon as well. I’ve gone for solid mounts for the engine so corner should improve more as well
Beautiful R34!!! How much did all that cost to build the engine?
@@joeharris1159 once I have the dyno video done I’ll make a proper break down video but from off the top of my dead honestly around 20-28k. Could’ve definitely be done cheaper but I’ve gone for the approach to over build it so it’ll be more reliable
do they rub?
@@m4rk_yt151 not rubbing. But if you slam it you’ll get some rubbing turning around corners. My next video going up tomorrow shows me cutting the inner guards so I can lower it. Stock height you’ll have no issues
Looks hot 🔥 Any idea how much they weigh ?
@@Akash-oh2hm appreciate it bro!. Weight wise probably feels around the 20-25kg mark
If you want to upgrade the calipers to 6 pot you may have to go with 19” rims as they did on the TR/RS.
@@iaindyer1629 18’s should still clear them. Since I’ll most likely be getting it off a 2019 STI
@@7ol6a Interesting, I’m in Canada and I know for sure that the 6 pot brembos that come on the RS here (TR in the states) won’t take an 18” rim. That’s the main reason they went to a 19” rim for that trim. Kinda strange how Subaru renames their trims for different markets. I think I heard you say yours was an RS, in the Canadian market that would be a Sport-tech and in the states a Limited. Our RS has stock 19”, 6 pot brembos up front and Recaros. No sunroof or rear heated seats though. I’m currently deciding between a WRX Sport-tech and a Glof R, both 24s and 6MT. Very similar prices over here, before you factor in BS dealer addons from VW.
Ah yeah, I see the last gen STI came with either 18 or 19s. Guessing those calipers must be a little smaller than the Brembos on the 24 North American VBs. 😎
@@iaindyer1629 Yeahh tiny bit smaller. Honestly idk why Subaru did that ahah our one with Brembos and recaros is called a Club spec
@@iaindyer1629they work with 18s, just not all 18s. I have a TR with 18 inch gramlight 57dr, 165/35/18 tires with no rub
Car looks great. How does your car sound on the freeway with the new exhaust? I just picked up a 2024 same color as yours. Mine came up the STI exhaust muffler which makes the cabin too loud on the freeway. Thinking about upgrading it or adding the extreme online mid-pipe to deepen the tone.
@@jsd1v2appreciate it and congratulations on yours. Mine on the highway does have a little drone nothing to much to annoy me tho. I would say adding a mid pipe would definitely help with making to deeper
How to ruin a high end suspension with cheap parts.
@@robertfontaine3650 oh they definitely definitely weren’t high end anymore. All depends what you want from the car
going to try and get a TS once i can pre order
i would like to get some seats like those. do you know how much subaru sells them for? or is there a part number that i can look up
I got a premium wish they had a limited at the time smh I do have heated seats but no sunroof nor upgraded speakers I upgrade my front grille, exhaust added brake light, wheels, and paint matched fenders ordered. So far so good been like 10 months with mine
@@jmb1998 Just about the only trim I can find north of the border in stock is the RS (TR in the states). No sunroof or rear heated seats so that a non starter for me. If I go WRX will have to be a factory Oder on a Sport-tech (Limited) and up to a 6 month wait. Looks like my 2010 6MT mazda3 hatch might have to get me through another Alberta winter, still a solid car but really want AWD.
Hey man, love the wrx. Could you link the shift kit that you were talking about in the video?
@@b_leary4563 appreciate it bro and definitely dcjapautomotive.com/products/cobb-tuning-stage-1-drivetrain-package-wrx-vb-23?_pos=59&_sid=17dad4479&_ss=r
The VB is really growing on me. Im after a new daily so this will be on the list

Yo … nice vid man! We gave similar thoughts man! VB brother from Melb.
I suggest changing the front grille! it’s a must! totally changed the look of my VB
I’ve been thinking about it. I’ll definitely grab one as a spare
@@7ol6abe aware though, there’s no camera mount on the deep dish grill.
@@TJ_OFFICIAL_MELB true true. In all honesty I actually like how the oem grill kinda spaces everything out. First is definitely paint matching everything and gloss black for some areas in the front bumper and rear
@7ol6a i agree, the oem grill looks better. You balanced the car well and yours doesn't look tacky like a lot of others. Once people start putting too much on it takes away from the overall style imo. yours is one of my favorite
Where’s your centre caps
