Thanks Garage Time Silicon Dielectric grease was a big surprise for me... Always learning something new I had everything lubed up and slowly everything was locking up! Washed them back out with carb cleaner and then reapplied petroleum grease Worked like a champ!..Only think I could think of was that the dielectric grease was acting like a cleaner more than a lubricant..too thin and too slippery Hows your project going?
Mike M So that dielectric grease gummed up in a matter of months? Weird. My project is moving along. I'm about 80% through with the metal work and backdate mods. Hope to be in epoxy primer soon. That is the next big milestone for me. Your work will make my job and research easier!

Unfortunately not. I did however get my truck back on the road, which is something at least! 930 is just dreams as I take care of my fam here, and am a single father to a challenged little one. Money is super tight even if I could find something. Health isn't so great for me either. I am pretty sure I am just content with seeing how you progress. Always outstanding attention to detail, and doing everything with high quality precision, such a joy to watch! Hope that at some point you figure out how to rig the camera up so we can come along for a drive! Cheers m8!
Wow..I can see you certainly have a lot on your plate.. Im sure you will prevail in time and see smoother sailing in the future. Its great to have our car dreams as they seem to bridge things when we traveling difficult roads at times. Hang in there Christopher I'm glad you can find some contentment with this video series. I will definitely rig something up when we are finished and do some drive alongs! Also trying to put together something with some drone video in the future=)!
Hey Mike, I’m having an issue with assembling a 1967 912 from scratch and your video doesn’t seem to touch on the steering shaft hardware inside the column, like the shear bolts and the collar closest to the dash. Can you help me see how this goes together?
Hi Troels Thats a great question! The dim light on the gauges is definitely something this an issue with these cars.. I wont be using LEDs but I do have something in mind to help brighten the gauges when lit When going through them I will show what can be done and why they get darker with age Please stay tuned!
