I absolutely enjoy watching more of your beautiful shoe collection, dear Marie-Anne. Love all your shoes! I've always been a huge fan of Mary Janes and ankle boots my whole life since I was a kid, also stilettos during my youth for work. It's true that when we wear more flat shoes we get used to their comfort then it hurts when we go back wearing high heels again, that's why we must keep the frequency for wearing heels to maintain strength. Knee high boots, brogues and loafers/moccasins are also my favourites. Your riding equestrian boots are so chic. Great advice as always, keeping timeless classic staples is the best move. Merci 🙏🏻 ❤

Like you, Marie-Anne, I avoid high heels now, but have fond memories of wearing them all day with no problem. The only time I miss them and try to wear them is when I wear a long winter coat or a long trench coat. With flats, I feel so wide and short in those coats, so I sacrifice comfort to wear them. It doesn't help that I have apparently shrunk at least an inch since my days of high heels! My go-to shoe in the winter is almost any kind of boot, especially tall ones. I don't know if they are passé, but I like boots with wedge heels sometimes when I want more height but stability too. I always enjoy your videos! Please feel free to show us around Paris if you feel like it!

I love suede loafers and suede shoes in the winter. I have navy and black suede loafers, and some moccasin style for wearing with jeans and cords. I seem to wear ballet flats more often in the summer, but I do wear them with tights in the winter. And I have some Mary Jane heels, too. Grey suede, black patent. Very comfortable. And...I wear Sperry Topsiders. I have a lot of them. Many pairs. I’m sort of obsessed with them.

I still do that! I keep all my work shoes on the bookcase in my office - my colleagues tease me about my “shoe closet” but not wearing them to walk distances make shoes last much longer and I wear my running shoes when I walk back and forth to work. Better for the feet and back and also, safety first - heels are just not great for walking. In any case, I only wear a max 1.5 - 2 inch heel anyway but it’s enough to throw off my walk and hurt feet and back.

I have never been able to wear heels, except fairly low ones for a limited time. I am not able to walk far anyway, even in flat shoes. I do enjoy wearing heels and my favourites are leopard print, although I have a plain navy pair I wear most often. My favourite ankle boots are by Fly London, quite chunky biker style in green leather and a touch of suede. I admired a pair on someone and she told me where she bought them. I went straight to the shop, tried them on and paid almost full price, rare for me. They are so comfortable and are so me. I’ve had them at least five years and wear them often, usually with straight or bootcut jeans. I love your two tone heels; I couldn’t even stand up in them, and your black Bally boots. They were a great investment and I love the heel shape. We used to have the Bally factory shop nearby and we both bought some lovely bargains there. Nowadays I mostly buy Hotter shoes and boots because I have very wide feet and they do wide fittings. The quality is very good. I am waiting for a pair of brown, low heeled ankle boots from their sale to be delivered, and I have found three pairs of their shoes nearly new in charity shops.

I love all your shoes and boots. I love chunky heels and Mary Janes .Both very comfortable. My favorite are your black and brown spectators.I would love to find a pair of brogues. I wear heels a lot if they are chunky and not too high. Lower heels or flats for a lot of walking. In winter I wear boots often.

I LOVE everything about the Mary Janes__I think they would look great with opaque stockings or tights and above the knee coulottes, remember THOSE?! 😱😎 I also really like the burgundy loafers, burgundy ALWAYS looks classy. And I really like the flat boots__comfort reigns supreme when walking about! For me, I have wide feet and thicker calves so, I usually have challenges with high boots. In my 20's I bought a pair of simple, low-heeled, burgundy boots made in Spain and had to have them conditioned and stretched to fit my calf__I had them for years! And forget about pointed toes anything, I need to have a more rounded and higher toebox, especially, if they are for walking. I agree with you, Marie-Anne, I LOVE 'penny loafers' they have stood the test of time. What's 'in style'?__I'm so eclectic, I really don't care whether or not I'm wearing the latest thing. Even when I was very young I preferred wearing what I liked__though, I WAS kind of partial to the tie-dyed jeans 'fad' when I was in high school (60'/70's)! 😳 Mostly, I feel it's too much 'work' to be trendy__not to mention the money wasted on trends that are here today, gone tomorrow__AND, trendy fashion tends to be made of lower quality, which really bugs me because I prefer my clothes last as long as possible. Anyway, that's my story, and I'm sticking to it! 😹 Have a lovely day! 💖🙌🙌🙌😺

Watched this earlier but didn’t have time to comment so here it is.
You have a very versatile collection. You mentioned buying new loafers. I think simple ones or even with a bit of a brogue pattern would be nice but it all depends what you see around when you’re shopping.
I favour flats these days too and block heels. Comfort can’t be overrated. Although I have to say, those high healed boots are fabulous and you look great in knee high boots.
I liked the ideas of having a pair of Mary Janes. I had some years ago that I enjoyed wearing, although back then I didn’t know that’s what they were called. They’re very feminine. I love your boots so much. It’s great to have those casual ones to wear with jeans too. I might look for some this winter. Maybe I can wear Chelsea boots. I find if hard to find boots for a high instep. You have a really nice shoe wardrobe.

You keep your shoes looking like new, even the soles look new! I have two pairs of the Clarks brogues and a pair of their flat loafers. Like you I find wearing heels all day tiring so I'm on the lookout for something natural with a block heel. I very rarely wear high heels unless we are going out in the car. My husband usually makes me walk! also in the town where we live there are lots of hills and uneven paths.

Hi Marie-Anne I really like all of the shoes. You have very good taste. With the last pair of boots, i saw a pair very similar to those last night at shopping but unfortunately the store didn't have my size and weren't getting it in. I was so disappointed. I have a brown pair of full length boots that i wear often but they are becoming tired as i've had them for years, so this is why i'm on the lookout for a blackbpair. I do have a lovely pair of midcalf boots with a turned down cuff and a block heal and they are taupe which is a great neutral colour. Thankyou so much for showing us your shoe collection and widhing yiu a lovely weekend ahead. Cheers Beverley xx

Living in a cold and snowy climate, but working in a place that requires business formal dress most days, I have a similar collection of winter footwear. I rely heavily on tall boots (equestrian, mid heel and high heel each in black, and also a few pairs that are either dark brown or cordovan). Also low, mid and high block heel pumps in black for the office. And a pair each of nude and taupe suede pumps in block heel and kitten heel. The broad range of footwear helps to create many different outfits with my neutral solid skirts and combination of blouses, sweaters and blazers that comprise my everyday work look. My casual wear is all of a mainly "equestrian" style, so the equestrian boots tend to go with that most often. I do own one pair of flat loafers from Sam Edelman that are mainly black with a snake print upper and a horsebit accent. The entire collection is pretty basic and classic, so I don't have to replace the individual pairs very often despite the fact that they get a lot of wear.

My favorite in your collection, with cold weather in mind, and for looks. I liked the tall, black over the calf boots.
This video caused me to wonder if a woman should consider her bone structure and build when choosing the type of heels that a shoe or boot has. (I'm fascinated by proportions in design.) I'm not really looking for an answer, but just enjoying the topic.

You have a lovely and varied winter shoe and boot collection ! Like many others are commenting I cannot wear much of a heel . One of my favourite pair of short booties that I got on sale last winter are a pair of navy leather Franco Sarto's . They are unusual , pair well with jeans and black pants I find . I also have a short dark red leather boot that can provide a pop of colour when called for . About a year ago I heard that red footwear sells better in Canada than any other country . I have no idea if this is true or not .

My absolute favourite is your pair of black high heeled boots. They are gorgeous, and I wish I could find a similar pair. But I know I will have to pay to get a beautiful leather and fit. I also have narrow calves and have trouble finding knee high boots that fit my calves. High black boots are on my wish list, but my day to day reality is more casual, because I live in a cold snowy climate in Canada. I have three pairs of ankle booties (all black, flat or chunky heels) because I wear them every day when I go out. I also have a dressy pair of suede pointed ankle booties, and two pairs of knee high boots - one with a heel and one pair of flat riding boots. You can never have enough boots in Canada!

I think my oldest pair of shoes are a pair of metallic green Mary Jane flats I got about 20 yrs ago from Sigerson-Morrison. They still look fine. I have a new pair of Vanelis that look like Chanel pumps (the ever-popular tan with black cap toes) I just got and am looking forward to wearing them. I love your thinner block snake heels! They look great! Will keep my eye out for a pair! I notice you don't wear your tall equine boots for riding, do you? (They seem to lack the requisite scratches & wear from stirrups! Or maybe only western style stirrups mark boots noticeably!? ) For late autumn & winter, such as it is in NE Texas, I wear waterproof suede Blondo ankle boots in dark gray, black, & brown. And I love low heeled loafers! For everyday running around, I wear brown Rockport ankle boots made for walking! Due to medical problem, I can no longer wear higher heels or medium width shoes. My shoes need an actual W on the box! My unbreakable rule of thumb for travel is: ALWAYS take a pair of shoes that are extremely comfortable, even if they don't look that great! I learned that the hard way after a weekend trip to New Orleans long ago. All I remember abt that trip, beside the hurricanes (drink, "medicinal" of course🤪), & beignets 😁👍 is HOW BAD MY FEET HURT! 👎Great content today! Thanks, Marie-Anne! 😊❤❤💞💞

Shoes are one of my favorite items and my biggest temptation.
Our weather is very mild and therefore we don’t need seasonal shoes. Now we are in summer and my choice are mocassins at the city, white sneakers ( mostly )and espadrilles at the beach. Your two toned mocassins and the Mary Jane are simply adorable and those long boots are so sexy!

I love my loafers and brogues. Never liked tall boots, but have three pair of ankle boots that I love. I shoe shop a lot, because I have to look a long time before I find anything comfortable for my weird feet. Comfort above style here. Low heels OK, but high heels a NO-NO.

My favourites are the two tone Mary Jane, because I love that kind of shoes. Burgundy loafers, also because of the colour. I think burgundy shoes go well with almost all colours in your outfit, but they are more unexpected than black shoes. And I love ankle boots, the black pair you showed is so sexy! Have a nice evening.

I stopped wearing heels 2 years ago. I walk a lot and it does not make sense. They look good but it is a lot of pain for nothing. I now wear derbies, loafers and ballet shoes with pointy shape which to me looks more elegant. Heels never above 4cm. I work in a corporate environment and I am very tall so the slightly more masculin look works very well for me.

I absolutely loooove Mary Jane's ❤️ they were my go to shoes when I was still working (full time mama for now). I also love high heeled lace up brogues (Victorian style a bit you know?). Sadly I am not allowed to wear heels anymore 😭😭😭😭 because of two medical conditions so my wardrobe really suffers due to the lack of heels 😔. I'm only allowed them for very special occasions. Now I mainly wear black flat knee-high boots, flat black leather brogues or black loafers in winter. I'm desperately looking for an elegant pair of flat ankle boots but that seems sort of an impossible task (and I don't like Chelsea boots). I used to also own knee high heeled boots very similar to yours and I wore them every day to death back in the day. They were the most beautiful and versatile footwear I ever owned... Alas... Bye bye heels.

Your shoes are very nice and look great with tights. However, where I live in Northern Ohio, US, I almost never wear shoes of any kind this time of year. We are inundated by snow, slush and freezing rain, so various boots are all we can wear. Even going to a dinner party, I wear boots, and bring my shoes. I have to save most of my shoes for warmer weather.

I'm intrigued by over the knee boots, and I like the look of them. They seem to be confined to very short time periods for being a look. And, they seem to really be associated with only a few vibes. One that comes to mind might be a bohemian autumn and winter earthy feeling. (Just my impression.) And of course there are several exotic contexts as well. Imho.

I love the look of high heels and I do wear them, but they hurt my feet if I wear them too long. Even when I was younger they hurt, so I always do the math first, how long is this event and how much do I need to be on my feet? 😶 It's a bit silly when you think about it. 😅 I do love a comfortable shoe for most days and that includes my work days. Your shoes and boots look lovely and comfortable too.

Yes, I definitely wore heels in my youth. Not so much now. I would go to class and then straight to work at one of my part time jobs for 2 to 4 or even more hours as a newspaper inserter, putting newspaper sections and ads together on a concrete floor. I would change tops or wear a smock but somehow rarely changed shoes. I was clearly insane. I have always loved shoes way too much. In the 70s we lived within 50 miles of a shoe factory with an attached "seconds" store and let us just say my mother and I went there way too often. However, in the last few years I moved into a sneakers and trainers phase that I will never completely leave depending on the day but about four months ago began thinking more about shoes as well as clothes since my first major weight loss phase. I am trying out flats, loafers, ankle boots, and the occasional lower block heel. I bought a pair of black Clarks wedge ankle boots I think work best and a can't remember the name black pair and a brown Fergilicious pair with heels that will be the occasionally worn for dressing up use. I am thinking every day about which shoes work best with the days outfit and why so that eventually I will pare down my shoes to the ones that work the best with the most outfits. All in all, I have bought too many shoes for my needs but I feel I am in a trying things out time physically as well as appearance wise because most of the time my regular shoe size still feels perfectly right but on some, and only some, shoes I have bought online my feet slip right out of them so I order the same shoe half a size smaller and they are too small, so frustrating. Thank you for your videos, I do love your style.

I never wear winter shoes. I can't see the point of them because they don't keep your feet warm and they don't do anything for the foot that a pair of boots wouldn't. I am strictly an ankle boot or knee high boot wearer, and I wear Uggs when it's really cold (I have pair of tall chestnuts and short in Antelope green). In summer I wear navy and brown trim Sebago's deck shoes, and a vast array of sandals and casual flip flops. I do wear plain taupe trainers that aren't too 'sports' looking (nothing with obvious trainer branding on it, like Adidas or Nike). I am looking to buy a lovely pair of leather mid=brown boots next but I have wide calves now and find them hard to find.

I always wear flats. I think high heels are so not comfortable. I am 1.70 and my weight is 62 kg, so my height & weight are not the reason why i do not like higher heels than 2 cm ;) I love a much more casual look.
To be honest....i do not think high heels are comfortable for anybody. Why should you walk on sticks ? What an utterly strange invention!
I love loafers and lace up shoes. I always love brogues. When i walk with my two lovely dogs ( daily 5 times) through the fields and the woods and along the streams, i wear Dubarry leather waterproof country boots....with warm thick woolen socks ;) Much needed in wintertime in Holland.
I also have a pair of Spanish handmade nubuck Valverde boots. I do have them already 20 years and wear them quite often and they are still in a good condition.

However, I struggle to find anything now as I have a nasty arthritic spur on my big toe joint.
