Dear Justine, I cannot find the words to express my gratitude. Perfect video. It is extremely useful because it does not expressly lead you to a shopping spree, but it teaches you basic concepts which could be applied in selecting and pairing items you may already own.
I just wanted to give a quick explanation to what made out of recycled plastic bottles means: in Germany we have relatively well working deposit system. Through that most plastic bottles get returned and recycled. If the plastic from those recycled water bottles then gets used to only make new recycled water bottles the plastic stays in a loop and will always be used and not find its way in a landfill. The problem about clothes or shoes that are made out of recycled water bottle plastic is that this new plastic (the plastic fiber )cannot be recycled. As soon as the the clothes or shoes are disposed of it will end up in a landfill. Because that kind of plastic (which has been made out of water bottle plastic)cannot be reused. I am personally very cautious about this claim concerning using plastic out of recycled water bottles because it is often green washing.
i agree 100%. this vivaia 'recycled plastic' shoe is just a GIMMICK people! In other words, a MARKETING tool! Sad but true. Justine has a financial incentive to make us buy those products so she is biased towards this particular product.
I understand the reluctance as I share it too, but you should be aware that plastic cannot be continuously recycled the way that glass and aluminum can be. If a plastic can be recycled, it is maximum approximately 6 times and even that is considered a lot. Most plastics can only be recycled 2-3 times and then will degrade into microplastics over time and be on the planet for thousands of years. I say let's stop using plastic altogether (except for some much needed medical uses).
God rest his soul, and my dad's too. Yes, that's exactly what we did back in the 80s, at least until the fashion world caught on and started making ones that we usually couldn't afford. 😉
I love this format! Dissecting the fashion elements so that we, the consumer, can reconstruct/incorporate them according to our own comfort level. Sometimes the runway model presentations are quite intimidating! Especially when one is only 5'2" LOL
Love this because you give specific examples to illustrate the trend. As a 5'1" person who is an hourglass shape however, the blazer option is just a no go. I would look like a little rugby player in her dad's jacket. I would love to know what your options are for those of us who have tried blazers time and time again but have had to realize that a blazer is no go territory. Thanks so much for such great content.
Yes, I like this type of video and appreciate how to incorporate the current trends into an everyday wardrobe. I never know what to do with the runway outfits because they seem so over the top for my everyday life. Thank you! I have been looking at Vivaia shoes for a little while. So glad you think they are fashionable too!
Merci, Justine! I love this idea for a series. You've given us some great ideas for purchasing a few pieces within budget or adapting what's already in the closet to update our wardrobes. Also, suggesting how to style each element is super helpful (for example, belt over oversized blazer, scarf matching the coat). Very nice contrast between the big idea, the essential details, & the practical application thereof.
It’s great to see you post these videos more frequently! Cardigans, especially long ones with V necks, don’t suit me. Neither do oversized blazers. I’m smaller on top and short, so my tops look best when they end near the waist, but I have a classic, double breasted fitted blazer that comes in just enough at the waist to give me some curves there. Ankle boots with chunky heels never go out of fashion. I’ve had mine for years. It’s cold where I live so the essentials are chunky turtlenecks, cable knit and not oversized, black leggings and black turtleneck t-shirts, all in cotton because I can’t wear wool next to my skin, a warm down coat and colourful scarves and accessories. My weight doesn’t fluctuate much though I do keep two sizes in my closet. I learned the hard way when I got rid of some favourites that were too small that would have fit me perfectly the following year.
This type of video is hugely helpful - I’m looking to invest in one or several large wool/cashmere/similar scarves this year. I have a black one which matches my black coat, but I’m on the hunt for wine red and navy blue to match my other two wool coats. It’s nice to have a suggestion of items that can go with the trends, but taken off the runway so it can be isolated as a potential wardrobe investments. While the matching scarf and coat might not always be trendy, black, navy and wine red are colours I wear often so I’ll be able to mix and match when the trends move on. The oversized blazer and the stiff collars sounds like perfect thrift items, if looked for in the mens’ section - that’s where half my shirts and 2/3 of my blazers are from 👌🏻
Hi Justine! Great video as always ❤. I would like to know other options for people who doesn't wear blazers. I'm petite and inverted triangle, and blazers does not fit me well at all, i really hate them, and I don't know what to wear instead. I'd appreciate very much your thoughts and suggestions 😊

Thank you, Justine. I so enjoy your perspective as a designer. The blazers are 1980s. I still have several, and I never stopped wearing them (or taking care of them). One of my all-time favorite silhouettes. I’m also a big big scarf fan and have several soft wool or cashmere. Not much to buy…. 😉
I love this type of videos that you make, it keep us up to date with what is in trend but in the same time doesn't encourage us to go on a shopping spree.

Thank you for the tips on how to wear this year’s trends! I already have an oversized blazer, and am looking for (never thought I’d hear myself say this) some brown boots. Just fyi, I do alterations for a living. Sometimes on the oversized garments, they need to be tailor a little. They will look so much better if you tailor them.😊
I got a pair of vivaia flats. Worst shoes I’ve bought. I still have credit of a pair I returned because they didn’t fit and I don’t see myself risking it buying anything else from them. The soles are thin, the insoles are not cushioned enough, and the back at the heel that is supposed to give support, rubs and chafes like hell.
Very helpful, especially when I'm packing and unpacking fall/winter clothes. Sometimes you just need a simple list of what to keep and what to pack away
Hey Justine, love the video. Would love in future if you could include a few items that are a bit more affordable. Not saying H&M or Zara but a sweater under $200. Just in case people are looking to add a new piece. Thank you😊
It is hard to find a well made and quality sweater of wool for cheap. Unless you shop used stores. I’ve found many there, and of much better quality than I’d ever be able to afford otherwise. Cashmere? Yes please, so warm even with thinner sweaters. I don’t see Justine promoting one particular item, but showing what to look for when you go to whatever store you want, or searching through your own wardrobe.
The video is very useful because everyone needs to upgrade his wardrobe. Thank you! I lover the brown sweater you're wearing. It is difficult to find a sweater or a cardigan in a nice brown tint.
@@alyonavantiggelen3906 wow you have a really good sight! I turned my brightness to the max and still could not be too sure if it was dark brown... although now that I rewatched it, the colour does suit really well with her hair.

Great video! After the fall trends video this is so useful in taking those trends and applying them to our own particular lifestyles and personal styles. For example I don't work in an office environment so the blazer is not a must-have for me. I love Vivaia, I'm looking forward to wearing my new ankle boots this fall and winter!
Thank you - I just learned how trendy I am because I bought a couple of oversized blazers last year for nostalgia's sake. I was young and obsessed with fashion back in the 80s. Those sweaters are a real throwback too. One disappointment was your choice of footwear as you've always been against fast fashion. I looked up Vivaia and couldn't find any information about where they make their shoes, and to me, that's always an indication that manufacturers are using Chinese /Asian sweatshops. While it's admirable that they use recycled materials, that doesn't excuse taking advantage of cheap labor and bad working conditions - or the fact that China in particular is deliberately using this to undercut and eventually destroy the industry in countries with strict labor laws that protect workers and traditions of fine craftsmanship.
I won’t pursue any of these except maybe the leather tie belt, or possibly a cardigan, though not loving any of the options. Thank you for the video. I always appreciate your content.
Love this! Love the format! A few years ago I bought a reversible double faced coat - large window pain check on one side (navy with denim blue), and plain denim blue on the other. I imagined me wearing it the denim side out, but I've fallen for the check. I was looking for a scarf to match, and I stumbled upon a preloved Fendi, which is navy with Fendi in denim blue check, and on the reverse a denim blue small check with no logo. It's the perfect match for my coat, and I'm amazed at how well it works. Yes to the cardigans, yes to the belts, yes to chunky heeled boots, not so sure on the blazers (I'm petite and oversized seems like I'm playing dress-up), and I'm on the fence with the shirts (don't work in an office so they feel a little formal for my style). But hey, we don't need to go for the same things! ❤
Short and snappy video on how you can incorporate some key pieces and often use something you already own - thank you, Justine! 😀 As I've been around the block a few times fashion-wise (I'm 60), I'm privately amused by how the oversized blazer has been touted as such a "wearable" style these last couple of years. I'm 1,70 with broadish shoulders and when I put on one of those, I Transform into a Transformer! 😂 I'm also wondering how petite women wear these mega jackets… well, really anyone that isn't tall and slim? 🤔
Hi Justine, could you make a video about fashion for tall women? Tips for specific brands would be welcome😊 I am as tall as you are - about 180 cm, and I have often dificulties to find something flattering...
This is super useful and what I needed thank you! I love watching you discuss the trends but still have trouble translating that into specific items. Loved this! Looking forward to more 💖
Thanks to your reviews. It really helps a lot. I have a question regarding shoes. I have problems with my legs after an injury. I cannot wear narrow shoes. What to do? Are there any brands with a offer for wide legs and ankles? I will be glad to advice
Hello everyone - I so recommend the shoes! I bought the mid-heels shoes (dark blue, so super gorgeous!!) - most comfortable pair yet very stylish, jeans, skirt, office trousers, dresses... just perfect. MOST RECOMMENDED!!! Also ordered the boots but that, unfortunately, did not work fort me; the material is super comfy but I need I need laces to assure my ankles are well supported when walking out in rainy days, prevent slipping and twisting my ankles.
Really excellent video. It was like a focused way to look at the new trends, in a way that will enable me to integrate them into my current future wardrobe.. great distillation. 👏👏
Loved this!! I watched as I pulled existing pieces from my winter wardrobe that fit the trends. No shopping there. I'm already more stylish than I thought! Instead...the shoes!!! Maybe that will be where I get spendy!
Love this sort of content! Always looking for helpful advice on using what I have already. The climate where I live is mostly warm, so winter dressing has to be all about layers to mix and match.
Hi Justine! Could you please share more affordable items as well? I know you are against fast fashion, as you should be. But most high end brands are also fast fashion only for a much higher price. And some of us can't afford them. Thank you
The examples shown on the boards aren’t always affordable, it’s already hard to find examples that look the way I want to demonstrate…😆 Having said that, it would be wrong to consider that high-priced brands have the same (super low) quality as fast fashion brands. Not all of them have the highest quality , but none is as low quality as SheIn or Temu! That goes for the materials used as well as for the level of craftsmanship 🙂
I like the video. The mid heels from VIVAIA are very nice, unfortunately they have no shops and the way of their return process (having to wait for a letter of them) is much to complicated to buy shoes where the risk that it doesn't fit is bigger than when ordering a shirt.
Loved the examples especially the blazers and the belts. I don't have them and want to now add them to my wardrobe. Thank you. P.S. love the animal print boots.
Wow, I was wearing those types of winter shoes since many many years and was thinking about buying something else this year, but thank to your video I don't need to :)
Many cool things, love most of it! About the waterproof shoes at 5:43 nearly 75% of waterproof garments contains toxic PFAS! I'm not allowed to link here, but google waterproof leather toxic!
I really enjoyed that, Justine. And I'm with you on all the choices except the oversize blazer. I have broad shoulders and short, skinny legs, so they look ridiculous on me, even with heels and wider leg trousers!

Loved this! Looking forward to more 💖
Yes please! Thank you for your work! (I live in the southern hemisphere, so counter season here, but still useful)
Short and to the point, thank you. More like this please.
Thanks, video that translates runway into wearable pieces is helpful!
Really excellent video. It was like a focused way to look at the new trends, in a way that will enable me to integrate them into my current future wardrobe.. great distillation. 👏👏
Glad it was helpful!
Loved this!! I watched as I pulled existing pieces from my winter wardrobe that fit the trends. No shopping there. I'm already more stylish than I thought! Instead...the shoes!!! Maybe that will be where I get spendy!
Thank you for sharing Justine. Can you recomnend anything for a petite woman?
Merci, Justine!
Love this sort of content! Always looking for helpful advice on using what I have already. The climate where I live is mostly warm, so winter dressing has to be all about layers to mix and match.
I am fashionable without any effort because I've got the items You spoke about in my wardrobe. That is the first for me ;)
Justine's tips: Ella, yes. Your style is in.
I never follow fashion consciously, but now I fit right in for once😂❤
So pleased to see that many of these items can be found secondhand!
Great video! Thanks for the overview, excellent garment examples, and suggestions about how to add these to an existing wardrobe.
More house renovations updates please.
I like the video.
The mid heels from VIVAIA are very nice, unfortunately they have no shops and the way of their return process (having to wait for a letter of them) is much to complicated to buy shoes where the risk that it doesn't fit is bigger than when ordering a shirt.
I'd very much love to see big warm wrap scarves in the future Justine Leconte Collections 😉
Smashing, very versatile..
So helpful! Would love to see more videos like this 🥰🥰🥰. Thank you!
Yes I lived this video! Very helpful thank you for providing!

Its always exciting to see one of your videos pop up. Keep 'em coming!
Love it! Please continue to make this type of video for future seasons :)
Loved the video! Please keep making more of this kind!
Lovvvvvvvve this type of video, more please!
