2017 Camaro V6 1LE Acceleration, 0-130

  • Doing an acceleration run in the Camaro, didn't time the 0-60 0-100 because I did a softer start to not be too harsh on the car, and didn't use no lift shift for the same reason. The car pulls after 130, but in fifth gear it's pretty slow and I ran out of space.

      Ive driven zl1s, corvettes, hellcats, supras, gtrs, carreras, jag (the sports car with a supercharged v8) f type, huracans and other cool cars not saying the v8 isn’t superior, but im just saying the v6 can be fast, fun, loud and capable of the same stuff if you know what you’re doing. My v6 1le Camaro is pushing 420 horse and for my first car no regrets, sounds good too. I’d rather save the money and invest it to get a C8 z06 or even a huracan

      It doesn't shift any faster in different modes because it is a manual. And yes the throttle response is more responsive, but that doesn't make a difference if I am flooring it the whole time. The only other difference is the weight in the steering and the exhaust as stated earlier.

    • @probool

      I was just remembering the time when I rented this car and specifically remembered how good it sounds. Although saying it is probably one of the hottest takes in the car community, I’d take the v6 over the v8 in this case. Cheaper, good sound, better mpg as well.

    • @probool
      @probool  2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      There are definitely pluses to having a v6 over the v8. It sounds great, revs higher, cheaper and gets better fuel economy. This is a plus to some and a negative to others, but it also makes the power at the top end so you have to rev it out. I do love a v8 though..

    • @pillcosby546
      @pillcosby546 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I finally understand why V6 muscle cars exist. There are people who genuinely prefer the V6. Save your money and buy a B8.5 S4 and an 034 Stage 1 tune, you'll gap any N/A V8 around.

    • @chickenmuffin
      @chickenmuffin 2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      @@pillcosby546 Well, modern v6 muscle cars actually have muscle. Undeniably. In the past I’m not sure that was the case.
      I find most v8 muscle heads are honestly audiophiles. They care more about the sound and farting rumble if their cars than anything else. They’d take a 79 v8 with like 170 hp over a modern v6 with 350 for no other reason than the sound and their own idiocy.
      I have an order in for a 3LT v6 with NPP exhaust and I can’t wait. Even lambo dropped two cyl… I prefer the sound, handling, looks, gas milage, and more… and that’s ok.
      The 4 cyl cameo though… come in. The cars a bit heavy for that IMO.
