  • Taking the Camaro out to some windy roads for some spirited driving. Excuse the bad manual driving, I'm new.

    Nice, long story short I sold my 19STI and want RWD track ready budget sports car. I'm leaning towards this V61le, E90 328i, m235i, 86. 1le seems to be the right direction.

      V6 1le was the move for me, because it is a more complete track car for the price compared to the bmws. The only down side for me was the lack of tuning options, as the m235i can be made very fast very easily. But it doesn’t have an lsd and that makes the camaro super controlled in a slide. My vid is my first time attempting donuts in a rwd car

    i’ve got the 2015 2lt RS, so not quite as quick as the 6th gen but still man you’d be hard pressed to find a NA v6 anywhere near as fun as these babies, i love my car

    I don’t like Camaros but I almost bought a 2018 convertible the exhaust was modified and was the best v6 I’ve ever heard it was beautiful. But got a better deal on 2017 mustang gt at another dealer

    Theres a v6 2lt 1le near me for a great price, 2018 and just trying to figure out how worth it is. Do people tune these and any idea how much power you can get?

    • @probool
      @probool  3 ปีที่แล้ว +7

      If you’re looking for a tuner car, this is not the best one. If you get headers, intake, tune, exhaust, and intake manifold, you’re looking at 35ish whp. For significant gains you need forced induction. That being said, with the power it has and the suspension tuning and the other track bits it has, there aren’t many cars out there that are as complete for the price. Especially with the 2lt package it has all the interior amenities you need. I personally recommend it.

      If youre into mods....go with the Camaro 2.0 turbo.

    • @chriscole4717
      @chriscole4717 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      They're 335 hp stock, and if I had to compare it to how fast it is stock, best matchup is the 5.7 liter hemi Challenger or charger. My tune was good for right around 21 horsepower. I'm essentially full bolt on right now, but I have the 8-speed automatic. This past summer my fastest quarter mile time was 13.2
      To agree with the guy above me, I would say the same. If you are wanting to mod a ton, I would go with the four-cylinder turbo. But if you're looking for something kinda fast right off the dealership and maybe close to 400 horsepower when full bolt on, the lgx is good for it. They've got supercharger kits for it but they're pricey. I essentially did ported intake manifold, ported throttle body, cai, e85 & tune, full exhaust including down pipes, 3 inch exhaust instead of the 2 1/2 inch, and high flow cats. Swapped the mufflers out for resonators. That's maybe putting me around 380 hp. Maybe. The v6 is an engine that likes to be revved out.

    Finding one of these used that isn't $5000 above market value, is a challenge. At least in Ontario.

      Yeah the 1le’s hold their value decently, but covid is still messing with used car prices

      The V6 1LE was a pretty great car and fun, but I actually got a 2SS now. The SS 1LEs weren’t very common in dealerships near me especially 2SS 1LE. A lot of them were marked up exorbitantly. But it’s a great car if you can get one

    So disappointed went to test drive a 24 v6 Camaro and man I was let down by the power big time idk why but it felt extremely underpowered

    • @probool
      @probool  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      its slower than an SS for sure, but I wouldn't call it extremely underpowered. the peaky engine, highish redline, light on its feet chassis makes it a fun car! The manuals have an LSD too. Its not the fastest car ever but its faster than a GT86 or something.
