Great video Thank you 😀
You're welcome. Glad you enjoyed it. Merry Christmas 🎅 🎄 👍 😀
Awesome video once again 👍
Thank you. Glad you enjoyed it 👍 😀
It’s cool that for Pakenham East station, the V/Line trains run on their own track
👍😊
Another great video, thank you for sharing. Look forward to the next section. From earlier announcement in previous video, were you held up here for long?
Held up for about 20 minutes. Glad you enjoyed the 👍 😊
The Gippsland line certainly looks more entertaining to drive than the Albury lime
There are a few ups and downs. 😀😀👍
G'day, thanks for the trip, last time l went on a train down that line was in the 70s and man have things changed, two built up now, well that's progress, cheers mate, Neil 🤠.
They say you can't stop progress... Glad you enjoyed the ride 👍 😀
Wasn't this line once electrified, you can see all the concrete ground supports for the uprights along the way?.......
Yes, it was electrified as far as Traralgon. But as the coal trains stopped running and the L class locomotives got old, the overhead was removed. It was kept to Warragul for the suburban trains (comeng trains) until they stopped running to Warragul. It was then removed back to Pakenham. 👍😀
@@driver667Would be great if HCMT could run to Warragul.
Going from melbourne to Traralgon is equivalent from Central Station Sydney to The Newcastle interchange Central (Sydney) to Newcastle interchange (Wickham) 2 hr 15 min (168 km) Melbourne to Traralgon 2 hr 14 min (164 km) only 4km difference.
Bendigo is 162km and takes around 1 hr 50 min with the express taking 1 hr 40 min. Not a bad run 👍😀
Bendigo is 162km and takes around 1 hr 50 min with the express taking 1 hr 40 min. Not a bad run. Traralgon gets caught up with suburban trains trying to get out of Melbourne. 👍😀
@@driver667 ahh right that happens hey
@@driver667 thats not too bad

👍👍👍
Very happy to hear you enjoyed it 👍😀
Superb!❤
I am very happy you enjoyed the ride 👍 😀
11:46 i wonder what the use of that siding is, it appears to me it’s a double track siding ( with only 1 side of the track on the right -> side)
It's a disused industrial siding. There used to be a number of sidings along this stretch of track. 👍😀
@@driver667 There also used to be so many branch lines for example the Noojee Line (from Warragul) the Yallourn line (from Moe) The Walhalla line (from Moe) and many more
@@InnocentComeng there certainly was a lot of branch lines 👍😀
What do the large blue signs mean? Like the 160 right before Morwell station
That sign indicates the track speed from that point. 👍😀
What’s your favourite route you can do
I like all routes but I guess I would have to say Warrnambool 👍😊
At 18:07 what is the overhead bridge to?
The overhead bridge is the connection to the other side of the tracks. Stairs and elevator to make it compliant with access regulations. 👍😀
There three bangs were track torpedoes to warn you? If so that the first I’ve ever heard those
They warn me of track work ahead 👍😀
There the small blasting caps on the track right sorry I am learning this from my tafe course I am doing with the level crossing removal project which when I complete gives me cert 2 in heavy and light rail
@@driver667 also do you know what cert 2 can get you?
@@Trainspottervic they are called audible track warning devices - dets. I'm not sure what cert 2 will get you. 🤔 Good luck with your course 👍😊
4:04 What does the H mean for the curve speed?
H is the speed for vlocity railcars. 👍😀
@@driver667 what does the h stand for?
@@joshrouch probably higher speed...
@@driver667 interesting, Thanks for the answer I was always wondering what it was when I go to Gippsland
@@joshrouch 👍😊
