Last time I travelled this line was back in the 90's,behind 3 "R" class engines,excursion to the snowfields,advertised as "with limited wine tasting",nothing limited about it,got merry in the wine tent.On the way back,came across a mate I had not seen for 25 years.Well,there was a bar on the train,had to celebrate meeting him again.Got off the train at Pakenham,son-in- law drove us back to his place.Don't remember much more ,except that I slept well.Great day!Still got a photo of the three "R' class in my lounge room!
