    Excellent video, Will. I do not understand why people are saying they cannot see your ankles! Perhaps if they viewed the video on a larger screen and wore their glasses, they would be better able to see your ankles. However, that being said, I have a lot of different problems with my eyes, including eight different things that are causing me to go blind in each eye and yet I am able to see your ankles and the positioning of your ankles and so on and so forth, just fine. I hope everyone has a lovely weekend!

      Hi have you tried doing them slowly with your back against the wall, sliding motion? That's what I do, no way could I ever do as he, you don't have to be a hero, did you hear about the Quebecer, 49 who died doing ironman challenge, his lungs collapsed while swimming 🏊, they didn't manage to get him to the hospital in time, his partner is saying his doc gave him the go ahead, she says he was in his best shape ever, that would have been when he was 22!

      Try squats with heels elevated. Example put a book under your heels. Try goblet squats. An
      Open stance squat might help with your back heel not touching the ground. You can possibly do step ups or maybe lunges. For some reason lunges hurt me. If I worked out and I think I’m going to possibly have pain. I immediately ice my back . I put ice in a ziplock bag and put it on my l4 l5 s1 area. It helps me.

    Hi Will, Thanks for your informative videos on squating. I have had a hip replacement and am awaiting a knee replacement so try to keep my quads strong. As an slternative I do 4 reps of 2 min wall squats most days, these apparently have the added benefit of improving blood pressure. What are your views on this? Kind regards Mike

    ankle of my left foot 2 years ago - I have not had physio as I was told " there is only cartilage in the talus and not much blood supply so wait for it to heal" - ascending stairs is still painful and squats are not easy - my heals cannot flatten - so my question is will your ankle exercises help my foot?

    • @natashahangouts387
      @natashahangouts387 6 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      You will feel it! If you can do the movement many times without tiring, then it’s too light. If you really struggle or can’t do the same exercise more than 5 times it’s too heavy. Most bands come in kits with a range of tension so you can adjust. Try b4 u buy, or do an easy return. I think the range of motion and precision of the exercise (body weight/ technique) is more important though.

    I'm 72. My problem is that, although I can squat all right, I can't get back up again! My left knee has always leaned somewhat inward (i.e. I'm knock-kneed), and is now arthritic. I know I'm supposed to squat rather than bend my back to pick things up, etc, but it's just impossible. (I used to dread using French public toilets, which were nearly all 'squatters' at one time!). Please advise.

    I wish I could squat. Years of obesity has left me with bone on bone osteoarthritis, I was born with deviated knee caps (they are not central) so causing my hips to be affected. At 65 I've lost 12 stones in weight, but despite being able to place my hands flat on the floor, keeping my knees straight. I JUST CANNOT SQUAT. :(

    I don't think it's the socks. You need to have a chat with the cinematographer. The angles and the cutoff portions of the image in the dorsiflexion testing phase make this possibly your worst video. Sorry to be so harsh. The exercise portion is better. It's a bit cut off in the adductor exercise, too. The spine portion isn't great either.
