Mr. Gigmaster. I think I've watched all your Videos. I live just below you in N.C. about 20 minutes NW of Myrtle Beach,SC. Thank you very much for doing these test. I was just before buying the Equinox 800 but had heard about the Nokta. I've been Detecting for over 40 years and have Never used any machine except the Nautilus built by Tyndall Electronics in Coats, NC where I was born and raised. I worked for Jerry building the Nautilus and we became Great Friends and hunted together for many years. Jerry passed away a few years ago and the Nautilus isn't being built any longer and has never been Water Proof and that's why I need a new machine and have turned to your Videos for advice. I really trust your opinion. Can't wait to hear your final decision. Thank you very much.
Excellent video on unboxing and showing the function of the machine. I received my Nokta Makro Simplex Metal Detector the other day and have had it out twice for to short sessions. I paid $254.00 with out wireless headphones. Build quality is better than the Equinox 600 that I have. I metal detect on land and its now is my go to machine and the Equinox is my back up machine. You my be the opposite since you water detect. Equinox being a multi Frequency machine will give you better depth on different metals. Looking forward to seeing you air test both machine, the Simplex will hold its own against the Equinox for almost a 3rd of the price.
I have the makro multi kruzer and I absolutely love it. Better build quality then the equinox. The speaker is in its own water proof casing. Mine actually did leak at one point but my dealer just swapped the control box. Glad you've jumped ship gig. Enjoy
the 0 to 99 is awesome ! one of the best functions on my at max, makes it so much easier to separate targets, mostly important with the mid tones. good vid gig!
One minor request: Can you show the VDI numbers and do some testing on some medium sized lead sinkers? I do a decent amount of detecting around a local fresh water reservoir and I typically dig over 50 pieces of lead each trip. I would be curious to see if this machine could allow me to identify lead more easily. Thanks!
Like the way its made. Looks like a minelab but only operates in 1 single frequency 12khz. I notice a lot of people dont research the frequencies of detectors other than looks and weight
Hello from Atlanta Georgia in the USA hello my countrymen thank you for sharing this great video on the Simplex Plus I think your presentation was really good explaining and showing us how all the modes work thank you again keep up the good work I subscribe to your Channel
Looks good so far! I am most wanting to see if it can handle black sand or not. Being single frequency, I am not holding my breath, but if it can, that would make it a ridiculously good deal at that price for me. Looks solid. I love that they followed the XP shaft shape and cam lock style, which seems to be a better design than round shaft. Nice thick coil ears too. Looks great. Very impressed with Nokta/Makro, though I do not (yet) own one. I'm still using an XP, but hope to move to a waterproof machine in the future! Thanks Gigman!
To be fair the NOX only turns because you bought a after market shaft the real shaft has cam lock springs. I agree and want to add a spring lock to my aftermarket shaft too they should of been that way anyways.
That is an awsome price for a underwater machine and a for beginners in metal detecting. I wished Equinox did not use the compressed VDI scale it would be easier to eliminate unwanted targets. Looking forward to the testing against Equinox although I belive Equinox would win. This still would make a great machine for the price.
It seems like you wouldn't be able to move the coil angle very easily to match the terrain slopes, on the Simplex 🤔 Until you showed that part on here I wouldn't have known that. I only hunt land with my Nox 800. It's a great price and has great features. It's winning me over but only as a backup and for visitors to use. I do really like the shafts special design. It is better than the typical round shaft for sure 👍
Also interested in how "chatty" this machine is and if the tones can be adjusted. Those high pitched squeaks...not sure if I could get used to that. Thanks Mr Gig
Looks good, but I am looking at DEUS. The NOX has done well, but VDI, Numerical Range, tones to tight. Volume is a bit low as well without headphones. Nice Vid
I'm interested in seeing if this machine matches all of the hype. One thing for sure.... those are "chatty" machines. I don't know if it is interference from cameras while people are filming but I have yet to watch a single youtube video featuring this detector where the detector was not chatting away like crazy in the background. Let us know if this chatty behavior is something that you see in normal use.
Gonna be tough testing a single vlf versus multi freq. To be fair I would put the nox in a single freq when testing. Curious how deep it will hit a CW bullet.
I just watched your video on the Symplex I’m glad that you got the unit to test out during your testing can you test it against other Bluetooth headphones they say the simplex only work with their Bluetooth headphones be greatly appreciated before I purchase one

One of my dream metal detector 😭😭
Love that new detector smell!! Good to see reasonable pricing. Can't wait for the testing and real use.

Thanks for sharing. Cant wait to see your video on your new metal detector.
Just got my Anfibio in the mail yesterday unfortunately we got 4 inches of snow, the detector seems very well built.
Soon I'm going to test my at pro and my Equinox in my test garden, I've actually never tested any other machine besides my Equinox great video gig👍👍
You are always teaching. Great video!
Looks like a nice machine, I can't wait to see how it goes. Thanks
Great video, looking forward to the depth test on wet sand against the nox, thanks.

Treasure Pirate Will do
@@Gigmaster Thanks!

That will be a downside in certain situations
I hope you updated it on your computer before testing.

Mike of CA I agree with your analysis.

Your gonna like it...
Not sure how it does on the beach but relic hunting it does amazing for the money!!...hh bro!

Congratulations on the new machine Steve. I'm interested in how it stacks up against the Nox 800!
Me too!
Snowing here right now. ;-(
Another Great Video. Looking for for the Air and Beach test.

Thanks Mr Gig
Definitely interested in the chatty situation. Have not seen where the tones can be adjusted yet.
The latches on the shaft are fragile and break easily. Even before assembly and first use.
planning on buying one but waiting on your video goodluck

Gig please test the Light at night that is an awsome feature.
Wow that is definitely a great Price. I'll be waiting for your final results.💸
Excellent !

The short collapsed length looks good for underwater detecting when swimming! Can it go shorter with only 1 shaft?
Al Howry I would say no since they fit inside each other but i will test
Yep Looking a this a bit more seriously since my Nox just had an epic fail last night.
Some Beach Detecting I hear ya! One of my reasons for checking it out. Seems to be built a little more solid. We shall see.
@@Gigmaster I love that LED light neat feature. I will be watching you test it, your probably already working on that 😁👍
Just bought one
Great
nice love watching your videos I tell everybody if you want to learn how to do it watch the gigmaster

Old Pelon No luck so far
Ok thank you
Great Vid, your the Man and my favorite. But, No need 4 a Simplex, when u have the best the -> Equinox 800 is King 👑
50👍🏻

A great value machine but it won't replace my main detector unless someone was paying me to use it.
