I’ve been wanting to get into detecting for years, my late father always use to when I was a wee lad but I could never decide what to buy and then I’d feel I needed to spend more and then it got too much and I’d give up…thank you to a lot of research and a few videos I will be ordering the simplex ultra this weekend 🙂 lovely thank you for this video it’s backed up the ease and beauty of the simplex great stuff

Just received my Ultra through the post today. Never used a detector before. I was surprised when I opened the box as it contained an Accupoint pin pointer as well. Bonus 😀

Hi Adam. I'm very new to detecting, and I've invested in the Simplex Ultra. Would you be able to do a complete dummies guide to using this detector, including things like, ground suppressing, what it is, why you do it, when should you do it....
I love that I can just turn this machine on and go but I want to know more about the functions to help me get the best results from each dig 😊

Curious if it still gets interference from the Garrett At pro pinpointer being 15Khz ? Does it still have a mute option ?
All detectors will get interference from a pinpointer if it's close enough.
No mute button yet but I'm sure it'll appear in an early update.
Turning the machine so that the coil is away from the hole should eliminate any interference 😊👍

Hi Tracey,
Sadly not. The new machines operate on a different frequency so you need a new generation coil for them. The SX24 is being supplied as standard on the Lite machine so I would imagine they'd be available as aftermarket options once the first few waves have been sent to distributors 😊👍
can you swap coils from the simplex original with the ultra, as I have the new small coils, also do the earphones cross over

It's a no and a no I'm afraid.
The Simplex+ uses 12khz whereas the new generation uses 15khtz so the coils aren't interchangeable.
The plus used WiFi connection for the headphones but the new one has been upgraded to Bluetooth (this does mean you can use your own headphones though...).
Does the external battery that’s used on the legend work on the simplex ultra? I know you mentioned it in the video but wasn’t sure. Never saw anyone asking for sure, thanks

Looks good. A pitty it hasn't different single frequenties just like the Xtra Pro. Then it would be game over. I think many people will wait to see how it performs in the wet at sea to make a decision. That's a hughe plus for the Xterra Pro.
Based on my experience with it on the beach yesterday it performs extremely well on the wet. The additional settings mean you can tune it to be silent on the wet sand and still find the goods. The new Simplex machines all run on 15khtz which is optimal for coin and relic hunting 😊👍
@@DTEKTSUSSEX Great to hear it performs well on the wet. 15khz on the beach i better then the 8khz that the Xterra Pro has. That's a plus for Nokta Makro.
The frequency shift function on the Ultra will deal with this fine 👍

@@DTEKTSUSSEX If this does works good and iit's queit in the wet then it has an advantage on the Xterra Pro. Simplex has more options to choose and can be tweaked better as the the Xterra. Also not a fan of the handgrip of the Xterra, it's the same as the Nox and that was also one of the reasons i sold my Nox.
Where did you get yours please? I can't seem to find one for sale in the UK.

When you say “original sampled” do you mean the simplex + or was there one before? How does this compare to simplex plus?

I'm not sure which part of the video you're referring to...I may have miss-spoken or you miss-heard 😬
The Simplex+ is the original version. The three new machines represent the second generation of Simplex.
In terms of performance, I haven't used it out yet as it's only just arrived. The Simplex Ultra here has some additional settings, is lighter and uses 15khtz rather than 12khtz. It also connects to the headphones via Bluetooth.

Does the bluetooth work with any brand headset or only Nokta? I asked via a support ticket with them over a month ago and no response. Kind of got me doubting their customer support.
That's unusual for them but they have just been moving their offices and factory to a brand new site over the past couple of months so it may have just been lost in the move sadly.
Nokta's customer service is well known for being the best in the industry!
As for the headphones, any Bluetooth set will connect but make sure they are low latency...otherwise there will be a delay in the sound 😊👍
They don't take a lot of time packing it seems.
What more would you want them to do...?

How small does it get when it is collapsed down all the way?

With the coil flat on the ground and the shaft standing vertical it's just 64cm (25.5 inches) tall 😊👍

I am not finding them in stock anywhere yet,but some are showing the lite at $199 ,(BT $269 ?),and the ultra $359 maybe those are just ballpark #'s
I don't have the final prices but NOMADS tend to get the first production models so they should start filtering through with purchase info soon 👍
To bad.. I would get a simplex but they use proprietary headphones.
The new machines have Bluetooth connectivity so you can connect ANY low latency Bluetooth headphones...you don't need the Nokta ones 😊👍

The UK distributor (LP) made the recommendation after seeing my videos. I didn't even know they were recruiting at the time.
