Just one more superb test and review from the Gigmaster! You keep it real! Ok machine if starting out, but that chatter would drive me crazy. A bit like the Garrett Ace 250 on wet sand, not good! I will be keeping my Nox, you just prove it to be the superior machine. Thanks GM! fantastic as always!
Pete Randall The Anfibio multi does the same thing made by the same company because they are deep machines you have to learn how to hear you’re a good targets through that chatter but that’s not hard to do because the machine screams at you when it has a good target
WESLEY, its because they are single frequecny machines in salt sand. Nothing to do with how "sensitive they are" singlw fx CANNOT COMPETE WITH MUTI on wet salt sand. EVER
Stephen Digs History Well I have to disagree because it makes that same noise in the field that it did on his video I have never searched in salt water because I live in Cleveland Ohio all I know is they are noisy machines but you can tell when you have a good hit I also have the equinox 800 and I love that machine too and I I am vacationing in February in Florida and planning on bringing the equinox not the Anfibio. Also bringing my TDI white beach Hunter. And there was no reason to scream my name
To be fair you have to reground balance the detector when going from soft sand to wet sand on the simplex. Secondly this is the old software on the machine and you have to get the 2.77 version and you'll see a large difference in depth on the machine. When working in wet sand ground balance in Beach mode with one notch down in sensitivity and you're good to go with very little chatter. It's a great machine once you learn how to use it correctly.
I think you should go to ground brace setting and click the left -arrow till it says 0.00 like the instructions say to do then manual ground balance.to the wet sand.I don't know out in the water but I would try.
Thank you Sir for taking the time to review this detector for us all. Mine was stolen and I'm trying to save up some money for a new one. I think I'll be looking forward to purchasing one in the future. Blessings to you!
In the wet sand our suppose to set the ground balance value to 0.00 and ground blance.then switch to the detecting mode you want then it will automatically ground balance.
I purchased a Equinox 600 two days ago and hadn't had a chance to hunt with it unilt yesterday I watched your video on how to set up the Equinox, so How About this for a very first hunt and find with the Equinox 600, I was blown away yesterday I literally took 10 steps from my car and started swinging, the detector signaled a target at 17 so I dug it and there it was about 3 to 4 inches down, A sterling Silver Ring 9.25 with a amethyst stone and diamonds all over it, I had to take a deep breath and step back, I though I was dreaming or my eyes had gone bad. What a find, After that I continued my hunt finding a hand full of clad, a spoon a large leash clasp, metal hair clip, 3 brass rifle shells and loads of trash. This hunt was in a park in Eustis. Florida. A great day for sure The Equinox 600 is for real . JJ SMITH
Gig, try this trick. This supposedly works with the Nokta Multi Kruzer. First lower your sensitivity. Then ground balance it. Then raise the sensitivity back up. See if it quiets down the chatter. I would first try lowering sensitivity halfway before ground balancing.. If that doesnt work try lowering sensitivity all the way down. Ground balance, then full sensitivity. Let us know if this works. thanks
Thanx for finally taking the Simplex to the wet sand! ☺ I'd reccomend for any test of any detector #1 check the ground in ALL METAL mode until you find a quiet spot. Be sure no other detector or RF is within 10 feet . #2 then switch to Beach mode or whatever and run the groundbalance. #3 detect Regarding the ML Equinox, it obviously has a persistent "lock" on the Number ID. I don't know that machine but many detectors have a way to turn this on and off. My 20 yr old Whites had this. Its possible the Simplex could add this as a setting in the software. In the long haul I'm wondering if the Simplex can stay dry if used under the water as much as the Equinox or Garrett AT? We shall see. My Simplex will be here in 2 weeks. How can a person not be happy with it. The Simplex is cheaper than your beach scoop! Thanx man!
Gig, I am glad you stuck to you guns on this. Right at the end you said it. When you see me on the beach I will be using the equinox. I am with you on that.....
When I typed in Simplex,beach..... Your video popped up! Thanks for the review. I have so much chatter with the Garrett AT Max on the beach , I am thinking of buying that Simplex. It may do better on the hard ground too. Good video comparison. Thanks.
My hunting buddy had the same problem last week with his first dirt hunt...also interfered with his pinpointer. Contacted Nokta and there’s a firmware update he needed to apply. We hunted yesterday and the pinpointer issue resolved, but it’s still chatty. Nokta needs to work on that some more, IMO.
Gigmaster, another excellent and very thorough test. Just shows you that, to be brutally honest, VLF is and will always be VLF. At a saltwater beach in the wet any VLF is not the machine to use.
Ding ding ding. Exactly. Im not realky sure why all the hype about the simplex and people thinking it would compete with the Equinox. In fresh water, it will work fine. Salt water, not going to be one bit better than any other single fx vlf.
David Frazier Exactly.. Beach hunting on wet sand needs either to be done with a pulse induction or a multiftrequency machine ..or a dual freqency that run simultanously . I tried lots lots of Vlf macbines and some are doing ok ... but thats about it . I can indeed confirm the makro racer and the simplex can be used on the wet sand to find coins and rings and it will let you know when you encounter something of the above .. And that is already surprisingly impressive ... But it will never be a wet sand hunters choice since it miss depth and stabilty on the wet sand.. Every body would have bought way cheaper vlf machines for wet salt sand hunting if they worked like a champ .. They simply dont . They do all kinds of jobs and can be a terriffic choice for dry sand on the beach .. or ploughed fields and parks .. For wet samd you need sometning with more “ muscles “ Equinox , ctx , fisher dual frequency ..garret sea hunter , tesoro sand shark , garret atx , whites pi dual field ... the axcaliber or even an old explorer type of detector ... Anything else lacks depth , lacks stability , lacks a comfortable wet salt sand hunt in general .

@@Gigmaster I think it looks ok

Great review thanks for sharing

@@Gigmaster I just placed the order online. I'll call tomorrow and tell him you sent me.

Great
Lol you guys shouldn’t show yourselves covering that beer can back up instead of throwing it away.
Good video but you are walking too fast and missing spaces between swings.
Change to one hurts your interference with the equinox
nothings better than the equinox
Definitely Simplex+ will never be my detector...i used to slide the plate over the sand. how could you hit a chain like that?
Please, you had your mind set already on disliking the machine.
I like the machine it is my backup.
Looking at buying one so great video thanks. I seen reviews where they got rid of the chatter did U have any luck. Love to swap subs if U keen?
Dont even take the trash that's messed up
Hi✋😁👍
The voice is just too loud on my ears I could not watch longer than a few minutes
Me I don't like this simplx makes to much noise . I like mine a white's mx 5 .
Simpleks candır
I don’t think you can get better value for money than that simplex but go for the nox if you want to pay 3 times the price to do literally the same job.
Wrong!!
Oh and the nox can let in water look on you tube… Right!!
The 3 year warranty takes care of that. My equinox has many hours of being submerged in the salt water with no issues and runs smooth as a baby, well worth the extra money
Do you by chance have one of the duff coils that are no good on wet ?
compare this UK person doing similar as your review
th-cam.com/video/wswyK8zDp9s/w-d-xo.html
He has no where near the chatter you have
Hope it helps as you might be chasing a problem that from a duff coil not the machine as a whole
Hello!! How do you find the volume of the waterproof headphones? I’ve heard they are not very loud. Thanks for the great videos!!!
Talk about getting the lead out! You might want to stake a claim on that section of beach for mineral rights! Today is smelting day for me... Making some 6&8oz sinkers with all my lead. 🫕
