    Yes, your video is one of the best on instructing the Nox set up. clear and precise and you can see the actual adjustments as you make them. explanations are good too. I hadn't used my 600 for several months and managed to get it out of sorts. did the reset etc and good to go again. watched this video for a quick refresher and all is well again. my memory isn't what it used to be but videos like this are awesome for guys like me or newbees. thanks Jerry/Dirtlooter

    Last weekend, I went detecting in a wooded area in Northern Virginia. I figured the best detect mode to use would be Field 2. I used the settings in this video. My sensitivity was around 15.
    I kept having issues where it seemed like the target/signal kept jumping around. I would dig a signal, then then signal wouldn't be there.
    When I scanned the dirt that I threw aside from the hole I dug (dirt pile 1), sometimes there would be a signal in dirt pile 1. Then when I would sift through it, I wouldn't find anything. I would scan dirt pile 1 again and no signal. As I went through dirt pile 1, I would throw aside some dirt (dirt pile 2).
    After dirt pile 1 yielded nothing, I would scan dirt pile 2 and sometimes get a signal only to find nothing as I went through it.
    This cycle kept going on and on. I would find nothing in the original hole I dug. I would also find nothing in the dirt piles I threw aside.
    What is happening here?

    • @Gigmaster
      @Gigmaster  หลายเดือนก่อน

    excellent video Gigmaster! I just bought the Nox 800 late Dec 2018, and have used it about 5 times, still learning sounds and the "can slaw" scenario you showed made sense as it is jumping all over the place; it makes sense if you can not get consistent VDI reading from hitting the target from different directions, chances more than not it is junk, when compared to lead bullet, button or coin. Good tips!

    Awesome settings Steve, I'm impressed. It's a pretty wide open profile and coupling that with adjusting sensitivity based on site is the way to go. Good job.
    I do want to recommend to find the "occupied" site and grid it tightly. Look for the iron patch and plan your attack...grid it tightly and dig every good tone, high or low. The 50 tone is actually awesome especially if you're in an iron patch

    Hi Gig, I started using the pinpoint button more and more on my 600. It works great, problem I have with it is its so loud. I don't know if the volume can be turned down on the pinpoint mode alone. It does take a moment to use pinpoint mode , but I think it saves a bit of time because of accuracy. My next video has a target that started out nice , like a 25 and then was all over the place. From 25 to negative numbers. I almost walked away. Gave it a few more scoops and pulled out a green dime. You just never know till you dig it.
    Good stuff.
