Dig the video man! I have one I got from pound the ground in the ticket raffle. Wish I saw your videos previously and met you there. I used mine once, yesterday, so far I love it. Got an indian first signal 68/72 vdi (4in), a wiped matron large cent 78 vdi (5in), and some great relics. Used park mode and was mostly in the woods. Thanks for the review! Will be doing one (at least) of my own.
Would have been nice to meet you at PTG for sure! Its a good machine for sure esp for the price point its being introduced at. Ill have a depth video coming on youtube next week. Good luck on your next outing hope you dig a couple more largies!!

WOW nobody questioned you on HDPE fyi ( high-density polyethene ), sorry 28yrs Aircraft Plastics/Fabricator Artisian for the Navy/ DOD. Very easy to repair/replace it is a Thermoplastic and can be reheated and reshaped numerous times without hurting the material. Very nice review, I am not familiar with that make detector. I have had a Fisher 1280-X, Garret AT Pro and Tecnetics T 2 Special. I do like the coil that your machine has in some areas I would like to have a coil 2 foot in dia. I know what you mean 15 years in the commercial welding industry everything from pipe, steel and HDPE, so no worries there lol. Its actually quite amazing how strong that stuff is

Based on a couple of TH-cam videos not even having anything to do with your video I'm having trouble getting this Nokta macro simplex detector to work. My bounty is 45 years old and was $100 does the same job. I buried a coin 5 in down and it didn't even pick it up so I'm calling the manufacturer tomorrow to discuss it because it's a shame I just can't get the thing to work.
Great review. I subbed. I'll be getting a new machine this spring. What's ur opinion of the simplex as compared to the Garrett ace 400? That's what I was gonna get before I saw ur review.
As im sure you know pros and cons to each machine. However given the fact the simplex is waterproof and submersible, comes with an 11" DD coil and has wireless headphone capabilities built it and the Garrett ace 400 does not although also a good beginner machine the simplex beats the 400 hands down with features and price
I just ordered mine and it should be here tomorrow. I can't wait to try it out here in North Carolina around camp lejeune area. Once again another great video.

Double bleeps can also mean very shallow targets or target sitting right on top of the soil at an angle , good demo :-)

think one of the best equipped and featured detector in it's price range...back lit keys/pad..flashlight..waterproof..wow..and for all degrees of users..bet Garrett was wishing it could have done more with the 400 now..great review..will buy this as soon as snow melts..

The basic design of the simplex reminds me of the Quest 40, feature wise it more advanced and cheaper, I might buy one for night hunting as the t2 se doesn't have a back lighted screen even though to this day there web site and other web says it does
Your right about the T2 it was a great machine but never had a backlit screen

you know I was pretty set on getting a equinox 600 but I don't know now....im thinking your simplex is the way to go and half the price to boot,was there a pinpointer on the simplex? im hoping there is....thank you
Yes the machine has a pinpointer built in
Great review, Seems to do everything that I like in a detector at a great cheap price range.The only thing you didn`t cover in your review is the built in battery. Is it easy to replace the battery if I wanted to do it myself, the only problem is i think it would be very hard to unseal it since it would be for waterproofing it, & trying to find the right battery around my city so i wouldn`t have to send my detector to the company &have then do it.
Thank you. I cannot say about the battery as i would just rather send it back rather than try and fix it myself if anything did ever happen to it

Is this the Simplex+ or the basic Simplex before the updates? I thought they are released?
This is the Simplex+ the newest machine available. They will release to distributers this week from what I am hearing
The newest update is great. An extra park mode and it will mute for pinpointer interference at a push of the button. Also has an extra sensitivity bar. Nice video. Maybe you can get on with Nokta as a research and development engineer 👍🏻

Great vid but I am concerned much more with the performance than the ergonomics. New sub here and can't wait till you know this machine well enough to talk about depth on coins, separation ability, un-masking ability, target ID accuracy, sensitivity to gold & silver etc... I'll keep watching!

Yep that is the thing I love about this machine is the fact its 100% submersible
Even if the back of the detector handle wasn’t capped, the shaft would pass through and still be just as long as it is fully collapsed as it is.
So I have a Whites MXT I'm probably gonna retire.... or sell would this be a upgrade... I'm looking for the waterproof feature mainly

The whites upgraded the mxt with the mx 7 and mx sport. The mx sport is waterproof/submersible. the equinox 600 and makro multi kruzer are both damn good metal detectors for 650. This simplex is meant to be a very good machine for under 300 so it won't have all the features of the 600+ metal detectors. But it is waterproof.
Enjoyed the vid and to be fair you maybe right about some of its minor setbacks but your talking about a £300 machine. Not sure in dollars and so forth but let’s be honest its certainly cheap in the MD world for all the good qualities it has. The reactivity on this machine is fast to be fair.
Oh sure I agree completely its a great machine for the price point as I said in the video. I am just giving my opinion on things I like and dont like as with any new machine release to try and help people make their decision final

Good job on the review, that price point is nuts! However, I’m wondering what will happen with Turkish imports if they continue to shoot at US troops in Syria. RUTUS ultima or nokta makro simplex? What you recommend?
I have never used a RUTUS so cant speak for that machine. I would love to try one out though
How was this compared to the teknetics t2 se buddy?
Its a close comparison, they sound the same, this machine seems a bit heavier the only real big difference is the VDI number on the makro are no where close to the same as a T2

The numbers don't matter, as compared to other machines, when you've never owned a machine with numbers before.
You said at the end "works reasonably well". You're not filling me with confidence!!
I am in no way affiliated with makro and there fore am not trying to sell their machine or any other brand. I am just giving my opinions on what I personally see. Its a good machine for the money, as many other brands are as well. Is there a better machine other than this one? Sure! But for a $340 dollar machine its a good deal
