Hi Luke. I am a Lepster for 10+ years. To briefly explain how much this podcast has benefited me, I got my current job, which I’ve been working at for about 7 years, thanks to this podcast. I passed the English exam I needed to clear to get this job because of you. So, I must say, I owe you a lot. Besides that, over this long period of time, I’ve learned so much from here that I can’t even put into words the value you’ve added to my life.
@cortonmaltese I wonder how you solved the speech problem? By the way, thousands of thanks to Luke's, my understanding level is better now, thanks to him.🎉🎉🎉
If you mean that you are struggling with speaking, I mean if you kind of trying to get over speaking barrier, what I might say, it will become suddenly. You don't have to force yourself to speak in English, you just have to watch as much as possible stuff that you can understand. I mean you have to watch a lot, I mean a lot. Then your mind will acquire the language, and you will have this aha moment, when you kind of get the language. You will have some phrases in your head popping up, then you will be glad to speak to yourself when you're alone, and almost immediately you will become an English speaker. Not literally immediately, I mean it will be much faster than the whole English learning journey. I learned the language almost 3 years. And this message is the result of my speaking ability. It is not good but it is not bad, I guess. @@yelizyilmaz1247
Please continue producing more episodes. This is the only podcast I can watch in its entirety without losing interest, even though the episodes are quite lengthy. . Nice work
I'm an English Teacher in Brazil. I started to listen to you in 2016 or 17. It has improved my speaking a lot. Listening to the podcast made me be more comfortable speaking. Because listening is the key.
Hi Luke. I discovered your podcast in November 2024, so I’m a new listener. I’ve made immense progress in English since then. I can understand much more, and I also feel more confident when I speak or write. Listening to your podcast really helps me with remembering words, phrases and grammar rules. I really like learning this way because it’s effortless and entertaining. Thank you very much.
Happy New Year 2025 to you and your family! Wish you the best! Thanks heaps to all your hard work toward us Hope we can continue listening to your amazing and awesome podcasts throughout this year too. Cheers!
Hi Luke! My name is Momo. I'm from Japan! I have been learning English more than 10 years, and I started listening to your podcast this summer. Now, it is even my comfort podcast. Here are the answers to your questions! Q1. Your podcast has greatly helped me to improve my English speaking skills. I believe it helped me go from the intermediate plateau to the upper-intermediate level. Especially, I became better at telling stories, like what happened in my life or a synopsis of a movie I watched. Listening to your podcast helped me learn how to use tenses correctly and how to describe movements and changes, which are necessary to tell intricate stories. My vocabulary has increased as well. Q2. I would say it is important to keep listening to the podcast constantly without any pressure to learn something, but rather enjoy Luke's talk. I believe it's not necessary to memorise every new word that appears in the episode. Having said that, I always try to use at least one word or phrase that I learned from the episode when I speak to my friends in English or talk to myself. ★My favourite thing to do is to share jokes from the "dissecting frogs" episodes with my friends. I really find it enjoyable. Have a fantastic New Year, Luke!
I am listening your podcast now for 2 years, every day in the time while I go walking with my dog. I love it. I understand much more now by listening your podcast.
Hello, Luke. I have been listening to your podcast for more than 10 years. You are a role model for me. I am an English teacher, so I am often afraid to sound weird or say something that has another or double meaning. And while listening to you, I pay attention to detail, e.g., if you say "detail" or "details". If you use them both, I feel comfortable doing it too. Another example. I've googled recently "connected with or to" and found out that "to" is more about physical connection, while "with" is about relationship. And I started saying "connected with Christmas", until I've heard "connected to" from you in a similar context. That's why such examples of bizarre English as "send in all directions" (I could say something like that) are very helpful. I am also very grateful for different resources and tools that you recommend, such as Youglish, collocation dictionaries or chat GPT. And I have a question: have you noticed any errors that AI makes or doesn't recognise in English, or are its corrections and suggestions trustworthy? And one more specific question: in the Russian language, we have a construction with double negatives to stress a positive meaning. "Я не могу не прийти" (I can not not come = I must be there.) Is there anything like that in English? Or should I say "I must be there"? By the way, I have learned modals thanks to you: now I say "It might be true" instead of "Maybe, it is true", the phrase "be supposed to", I know some differences between BrE and AmE, and can explain the use of s/z in verbs. Thank you for your work! It's great that your podcast has an audio version because TH-cam is currently being blocked in Russia, and vpn helps not always. Besides, audio is more convenient during a walk or a run.
Hello Luke and all listeners, Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! Thanks a million once again for the new episode and all your great effort. I started following your podcasts from episode 906, but I’ve gone back and reviewed up to episode 890. If you ever stop publishing your podcasts, I’ve got a two-year stockpile! :) I really enjoy listening to your podcasts. First, they’re not boring, and secondly, they’re long enough to provide good and efficient listening practice. Occasionally, I listen to them in two parts because I fall asleep if it’s too late. 1. LEP keeps me up to date while living in a non-English-speaking country. On the other hand, I’m learning new words, phrases, and idioms. I also use other applications to practice speaking. 2. I can say I completely understand what you’re saying, except when you’re joking around with your friends. These parts are published in transcripts, but I often skip them because it’s not easy to download and read them on a mobile device. Maybe it would be beneficial if you included some written formats, like short stories. Another thing is studying with songs. I have great difficulty understanding lyrics. Maybe you’ve already published something about this, but as a new listener, I haven’t seen it yet. Thanks again, and I wish you a successful and wonderful New Year!
I’ve been listening to your podcast for a year ❤✊🙏I do appreciate your support for all followers ❤I’m from Ukraine 🇺🇦 and there’s no electricity sometimes but we’re still here and alive ✊❤️🙏🇺🇦thanks a million
Hello, Luke! I'm writing to you from Spain and I want to say that your podcast ia an authentical miracle for learning English. Your channel helped me to improve my pronunciation ( because I like to repeat every word after you ) and my oral comprehension. I also got some new vocabulary, not only in english but in French as well. Some recommendations I could give are: 1) to repeat phrases after Luke, this helps you to improve the pronunciation and understand better the meaning. 2) trying to understand each word and to notice how the words are linked ( how one word turns into another one ) without subtitles. 3) noticing and memorising the structure of phrases can help to make better your grammar. And that's all) Thank you so much! Carry on making podcasts and have a very good Christmas🎉
8:25 I think my listening skill is the one that improved the most. and sometimes I find myself speaking your accent..that's great 🎉 Best advice I hink is to print out the pdfs ..grab them and use them while listening to the podcast... I often do this it's a great way to develop vocabulary listening and reading skills. I always look forward to the new episode. Thanks alot
hi Luke!❤ thank you for your episodes!! I'm so glad that one day I found your podcast. 1) listening to it regularly helped me to choose my future career: I had passed an English exam at school and now I'm studying as a translator😊 your episodes are so diverse that I never get bored. different topics and ways of teaching us keep me engaged. also I really like your voice and pronunciation so my ones are improving because I try to shadow you) I learn so much vocabulary because every time you publish scripts for your episodes and it's very comfortable and useful to see unknown words and phrases. thank you for it. and also you give me motivation to learn English. when I was so tired of this language, the only thing that I could do is to listen to you. I wish you all the best✨✨
Im reading after you and this action really improving my English, I listening to your explanations and its really improving my listening skills. And also some articles from your podcast improv my knowledge. Thank you very much for your help!
Hi teacher luke. This podcast is really amazing . My listening skills and speaking skills has improved alot by listening to your podcast which will help me with igcse Cambridge exam this year . One of things that helped me with speaking skills alot is imagining that I am having conversation with you and pause the video to reply to your questions
Your podcast is the best English teaching podcast on TH-cam... It has been a great help for me to learn English especially when you read short stories... So I recommend that you read more stories on your podcast.. I enjoy listening to the stories in your charming British accent... Please post more episodes of you reading short stories.. thank you very much Luke
Dear Luke!!! Thanks a lot for your nice job! Your podcast is a staple for those who want to level up their fluency. On the top of the learning information we broaden our horizon with you. You have become just a part of my life. Merry Christmas to you and your loved ones!
Hi Luke! I'm an English teacher and I have started listening to your podcast since last year. It helps me get up in the mornings with a clear mind! Love the delicious humour it offers. Love the vocab explained and your beautiful British accent. I have become addicted to it!
❤️I've been a ninja LEPster for more than 4 years now so I couldn't miss this opportunity to say thanks. When I just started to listen to Luke's English podcast in 2020 I binged on it for several hours a day during months choosing episodes from the infinite archive. During this time I've: Discovered my favourite British accent ever which is the scouse one. Now I desperately want to visit Liverpool. Learned a lot about British culture. Learned to understand jokes in English. "Met" a person who makes me feel incredibly good whenever I hear him, Paul Taylor obviously. Got to the point where I can listen to audiobooks, podcasts and other content in English on a higher speed. It's not that I do it often but I'm able to. Like, thanks for making my English learning so enjoyable! Lots of love❤️
Thank you for your Christmas greetings !! It means soo much for me and I guess for so many people that are sad and alone . You Know , many of us at this time of year are alone or with just one relative to be with. So , it is always a pleasure to listen to you .. Thanks so much please , don t make breakes if you don´t need to. For me it is very important to touch base with you . Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you too. !!
Hello, Luke. Thank you for the episode and Merry Christmas! Answering your questions, I find your podcast almost flawless and perfect and wish there were similar podcasts for German and Italian, the languages I'm trying to learn... I like the way you explain the meaning of words and phrases as you go, I like the topics you choose, your humour and personal touch. I found especially useful the episode (Bits and Bobs) where you answer listeners' questions about vocabulary and some grammar. For me, as a teacher of English myself, it's very important to be updated on how the language is used as well as on the British culture, and your podcast is a treasure trove in this respect. So thank you so much! By the way, you actually answered the question I'd had in my head for a long time - why do British singers sing with an American accent? Quite accidentally I came across this episode on your podcast and was absolutely happy to hear your opinion. I've definitely improved my listening skills (now I have more confidence watching interviews and films in English), built up my vocabulary, discovered lots of stuff about the British culture (I've watched This is Spinal Tap and the Monty Python and the Holy Grail movies) and even wanted to read the Gentleman in Moscow book, but it's not available here. As a teacher, I recommend your podcast to my pre-intermediate students and above. The pre-intermediate students prefer your short stories, of course... As for me , I just like it all - your rambling, conversations with family and friends, stories, jokes and all that jazz (if I may say so). I wish I could get more purely linguistic things (some vocabulary and the nuances in use of some phrases and grammar), but I guess you provide it in your premium subscription. I just must get one. Luke, thank you so much again for everything you do on your podcast, for being such a cool person and for helping me, apart from 'keeping my English fit', get through some tough periods of my life and escape from the harsh reality. Keep it up, please, and lots of best wishes to you and your fantastic family.
Hi Luke, your podcast is really helpful for my English. Especially, your reading out loud method helps me to identify symbols of sounds. So reading out loud is important.
Merry Christmas Luke🎉. My listening skill has been improved a lot since I started listening to your podcast and have learned a lot beyond the english and I like to listen to your podcast before falling asleep 😊 thanks so much!
Hi Luke, thank you so much for your excellent work and dedication in helping us. Wishing you and your beautiful family a very Happy New Year 2025 filled with love and happiness. 🎉❤️❤️🎊
Thank you Luke, I'm from Türkiye. I 'm listening your podcasts as long as I have time. Your podcasts are both entertaining and educative for me. Your pronunciation is very clear. I learned more from your podcasts. Thanks again. I whish you a happy year.
Merry Xmas dear Luke, the main thing l love about you, which l'll keep doing it forever, is your lovely, neat and clear pronunciation. Your laughing eyes, always inquiring something, your witty jokes and most of all your sense of humor. You are real not pretending to be. A big hug lots of kisses to your dear ones❤❤❤
I like your podcast a lot, especially rambling episodes. They help me understand how the real language is working. I watch how you try to find exact words to explain something, how you construct ideas. If you make a mistake, I am attentive to hear how you correct yourself, change the sentence. It's a great experience. I learn a lot from these episodes. I mimic the intonation of yours and often use your ideas for my lessons with students. You are the best podcast teacher for me! I wouldn't like you to talk only about grammar or vocabulary in your podcasts, it seems boring. But when you invite guests, read short stories, record rambling, it is what makes your podcast unique and educational. You are different all the time and it is super! Thank you for your work!
I prefer your podcast for the best way of learning English through attentive listening. It is well pronounced and clear to listen to the beginners and those at the advanced levels. For the coming new year, I expect attention-grasping history podcasts for English learners. Eventually, I wish you a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to you and your beloved family. Keep up with it; I will be in touch. Thanks.
Merry Christmas, Luke ❤ Thank you for your podcasts-they’ve been incredibly helpful in improving almost all the skills we need to use English. I’ve been following you for about six months, and my English has improved tremendously during this time. I enjoy everything about your podcasts. When I first started listening, it was difficult to understand everything, so I began on Spotify. Later, I switched to TH-cam, and it became much easier. I absolutely adore your explanations and the way you host your podcasts. Thank you again! Would you consider playing something from your repertoire for us in the next episode? I’m sure all your followers would love to hear you play ❤ Have a great holiday season and greetings from Ukraine 💙 💛 from the library 😂
Hi dear Luke, I’ve really enjoyed many of your podcasts and can confidently say that you’re one of the best English teachers I’ve come across on TH-cam.
I have to say that I have improved my English listening and I feel proud of it. It has impacted a lot in my confidence. My tip is listen English for a few minutes or an hour or two but do it EVERY DAY. It works for me. Thank you for your greetings. I am a believer.
I like the vibe of your videos. The light in your room feels peaceful and quiet, like early morning twilight (I know it’s a bit weird, but it gives me such a calm feeling). I love it. Finding your channel has been the best thing that happened to me this year. Your content always lifts my spirits and makes my day better
I have been listening to your broadcast for months and really enjoy it. It helps improve my listening skills and teaches me pronunciation, especially with short, simple words connected to different topics in a talk. Thank you very much, and Merry Christmas!
Recently, I have been only watching short videos, but I like to hear your long audios while cooking or doing something that doesn't require my total attention and my sight at the screen. It also helps me sleep at the middle of the night when I cannot sleep 😅, your voice is smooth to make me sleep, too, but your voice with no guests. I love that you explain vocabulary and grammar.
hi Luke, I consider that the variety of your podcast have made me learn and improve the vocabulary, the pronuntiation, and the listening. You repeat some words constantly, like anyway, and in this way I remember them easily. You are great and I hope continue following all your episodes next year. The best wishes for you and your family. Happy new year🎉🎉

That day I realised that my listening comperhansion had improved Thank you very much 😊. Answer 2: Advice 1-Listening one episode for several times to improve listening comperhansion. Advice 2-find the transcription of the episode that you have listened and pick up new words, ideoms, chunks, expressions and grammar structures. Berdiyev Azamat, an English teacher of the school number 38 in Khiva in Uzbekistan
When a new word or expression feels interesting to me, I use it in my weekly chat with an English friend. It helps make it stick in my mind. Thank you for everything Luke, your podcast is engaging and funny as well.
Hi Luke, many thanks for your great contributions to improving my listening skills. I must say that I can't listen to it as much as I used to anyway when I listening you I am in feel like chatting with one of my close friends. Merry Christmas Luke.

Happy New Year! Best wishes and prosperity! Your podcast is the best because you are a combination of a teacher, an actor or a stand-upper and a musician. Your episodes are so memorable nothing to add because you share with us not only your knowledge but your sense of humor, your actor’s skills. Even if I don’t understand something your ability to play with words and your eyes explain me everything!
Hi Luke, thank you so much for your podcast, my listening really improves since i start following you. I'd probably dedicate more time studying but your talks are so interesting that is always a pleasure, I learned a lot about english culture!
Dear Teacher Luke, Wishing you and your lovely family peace, health, happiness, and prosperity in the New Year. 🎄☃️❄️ I wish you and your family a very Merry Christmas 🥰🥳🎉❄️☃️🎄 As always, this episode is also great✌️
Hello Luke happy new year 2025!! Your podcast is like a "library", but an audio-video library. Thank you so much Luke, for all the good job that you do. I have to say that I'm a new listener, I discovered Luke's English Podcast this year, specifically on July 4 2024, because TH-cam suggests it me after been watching a video of Hadar Shemesh, whose TH-cam channel I follow years ago. Well, this is going to be a long-long comment, but you asked so here we go: 1. How has my English improved with this podcast? Well, first of all, I needed time to organize my thoughts and be able to respond this question. I have been learning English for years, more American English with a Californian neutral accent, but after feeling stuck for a while and lose the love for English, this year I returned and I have been more active on learning, watching on TH-cam different English teachers... Because even when I don't wanna talk with a different accent, I realized that was necessary immersed myself on English in a way of being able to understand others accents to improve my listening skills and expand my vocabulary. Now to LEP, my first video ever was number 887 Walk & Talk: Health & Diet, I really like that episode, I'm felt like I was really walking around Paris, and at the same time practice my English listening skills. Understand you was very easy most of the time. One of the moments that I can say I felt like I achieve something without planning it, was when I realized that I can understand Kate Billington without subtitles. And a recent milestone was being able to listen to LEP on a Podcast App, the old audio episodes that don't have any video. In the past I tried to listen to some English audio podcast about different topics, but I didn't regularly because I didn't feel confident if I can't follow all the conversation, and because of that I had feeling so closed about the idea of listen a LEP episode without video, but at the end I try and I realized that I've been able to understand it, because you explain the topics at the beginning of the episode, and also explain in the middle and at the end, so in this way I have context to follow all the conversation. Thank you so much Luke for improved my listening English skills. I mean, right now I'm able to understand more topics in English thanks to the LEP episodes. 2. Can I give any recommendations for how to improve the English with this podcast? I have to say that a good strategy is listening for second and a third time each episode but between a space of time, I did that so many times like for instinct and then I realized that you recommended that too, so yeah, repetition is highly recommend. E.g. The first time I used to watch the TH-cam episodes with subtitles to catch the new vocabulary, but then the second or third time I only listened to it, because the majority of the time I'm doing something else. Some of my favorite episodes: 1. Walks and talks. 2. Rambling Episodes. 3. Amber and Paul are on the podcast. 4. Kate Billington. 5. Luke playing Guitar and singing. 6. James’s music. 7. Diplomatic interview. 8. The Beatles. 9. Louvre Museum. 10. Luke with Wife, Daughter and little Son. 11. The family's anecdotes, e.g. been confused with Moby. 12. Long-long episodes. 13. Funny Signs. I think that the key of LEP is your humor, because when you say something funny or hilarious or even ironic or whatever, this makes me laugh and this is a good way to catch my attention and generated an emotion, making that my brain remembers more in the future. Some of my favorite jokes and funny moments: 1. The skeletons... I'm one of the skeletons at the end of each long episode lol. 2. The library joke - 🤫 oh sorry... fish and chips, please 😹 3. When Luke is trying to explain something and explain and explain and sometimes get stuck... A few moments later... 4. Luke talking to LP premium subscribers... That don't watch the episodes. The only regret that I have about LEP is didn’t find it years ago, but is Ok, the good news is that I have a long long variety of videos and audios still for discovery on the archive of old episodes. Thank you Luke for make myself to write this long comment (even with grammatical errors) you are a good English teacher. You teach in a funny way, that is good to engage the audience. Finally, I hope that you find the courage to finish editing the Walk and Talk London and the medieval museum with Amber and Paul. Congratulations to the Diplomatic band. By the way… why are you still using a Hotmail account?... After this long long comment, it's time to say goodbye bye bye bye...
I enjoy very much by listening to your podcast, your English is very clear , easy to understand and your voice is attractive. My English improved a lot after listening to your podcast. You are really a very good English teacher I have ever met. 👍
When i started practice English with Luke i just could understand about 60 present of his words but now it is about 95 present, in efforts to study English Luke is number one. He speaks clearly. İ never get tired of him. So introduce for everyone. İ say thank you Luke. Like you very much ❤❤❤❤
Your podcast is fantastic to improve my English. For grammar, to improve my skills, to learn something more about English people. I can listen to the podcast recording a few times and this is good because for the first listen I write all the unknown words and after I check the meaning and after I listen to the podcast another time to verify my learning! Thanks for all😅
Hi Luke's podcast. I've been listening to your podcast since 2022. I can find myself improving a lot in English especially in English pronunciation. I really appreciate your effort in updating episodes and giving our English learners the chance to expand the vocabs and practice English listening. By the way, now I can almost understand what you said in the video while I was so struggling to recognize and understand you 1 year ago.
Hi Luke, I really enjoy your podcast. I'm looking forward to watching your walk episode in London. I love libraries and I had the opportunity to visit London's library in November 2023. It's wonderful. I loved it. The jokes about libraries were a quite funny, but your comments or explanations about the jokes are always funnier. Happy holidays. Happy New Year full of health, love, peace, harmony and prosperity for you and your family.
Hello Luke, I'm Selin from Turkey. First of all, I want to thank you because, my fear of English is gone. I’ve learned so many new words and started using them in daily life. My pronunciation has improved a lot. I used to not understand anything without subtitles, but now I don’t need them at all. You’ve contributed so much to my speaking and listening skills. My goal now is to improve my writing skills as well. 🥰 Thank you for everything. I’m so glad you’re here!
Hello, Luke, I would like to thank you for your amazing podcasts. During the past seven months, I started listening to your rambling episodes. For the first five months, while listening to your podcast, I had been writing down every single sentence you said and looking up and studying vocabulary which I didn't know. Then I would write down only those sentences that I found interesting or maybe useful in my notebook ( I keep things traditional :) and sometime just recap those sentences. sometimes it took me three weeks to finish an episode (this is frustrating and takes time). but ultimately, It had a huge positive impact on improving my English. Recently, I've been writing down only those sentences that I like or include vocabulary which I don't know the meaning. the reason I decided to do this with your rambling episode is that I tried different podcasts and even audiobooks but ultimately I found out I really like the way you speak, your sentence structure, and your voice. and I choose rambling episodes because I love them the most. Wishing you all the best in the new year.
Hi Luke!👋 First of all, thank you so much for your work! You’re helping a huge number of people learn English, and that’s absolutely fantastic!❤ Please keep up the amazing work! I really love your sense of humor and your perfect English pronunciation! I would be thrilled if your podcast featured more guests next year (especially your dad!), and more podcasts where you read and analyze a book. Thank you, with love from snowy Russia!😍
Luke, thanks lot for your broadcast-I've learned many new words from your story like the snowman, you're so patient, explain it sencente by sentence, I will write down the new words and the whole sentence, and repeat it later, which expands my vocabulary effectively.
Hi Luke!!! This podcast has benefited me with my vocabulary and expressions you've mentioned over the podcasts. I love your podcasts,I never miss them😊
Dear Luke, It's been about three years since I discovered your channel on TH-cam. Since then, I listen to you regularly, because what you bring me the most is the pleasure of getting my ear used to listening to a native English speaker who speaks this language very clearly. Which is not the case for many English speakers. Except perhaps, in your case, when you talk to one or more guests. But what I love the most are your short stories. Especially your explanations with your own words when you take up the original text, which then becomes very clear. I also love the explanations of vocabulary taken from the story. I also love your enthusiasm and your love of transmitting your knowledge of the English language to foreigners. We can feel that you love what you do, with a consistency over time that is beyond me. One more thing, I loved your episode on artificial intelligence. You have brought me a very important awareness about what is happening to us, human beings. A highly disturbing subject. Thank you again, dear Luke, continue to be what you are, do not change anything. With all my friendship: Rémy Switzerland
Dear Luke, thank you for this opportunity to express my gratitude for all that you do for English learners ❤ Luke's TH-cam channel has been an invaluable resource while I was preparing for the IELTS. My main concern was the speaking part and my dream was to get at least a 6.5. I watched Luke's videos almost every day, trying to memorize his pronunciation and speech patterns. The themed episodes, such as those on "health" and "healthy eating", were very helpful. I prepared for the IELTS for about a year, using this TH-cam channel as one of my sources of preparation, and my result was 7.5 overall and 6.5 for speaking. Once again, thanks a lot to Luke for his invaluable help and very interesting podcasts I continue watching despite of already passed exam 😅
This is so wonderful idea and help to those who want to be international person. I really thank you. Have a happy day .merry Christmas Luke. From South Korea listener.❤

I learn English for ages and nevertheless I discover something new every day! Thanks for your English input, it’s amazing and motivating ❤!!!!
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. I enjoy listening to LEP every evening while jogging around the football field at my school. I can speak English with my own accent more easily than before. The native teacher at my school understands me better than before too. I love the short story episode so much. I can improve my understanding of English in a short period. I feel confident when I talk to the native teachers at school. I want to say thank you so much for your wonderful LEP. I have told my students to listen to LEP to improve their English. They told me that they love your podcast so much. Merry Christmas Luke! 🎄
Hello Luke! You are brilliant! I like to watch your podcasts. You reading is so beautifull and your cooments too. I like when you explained the plot of story ,for example The Snowmen. I have learned on my own . I prefer to study English from The Oxford interactive books but now I'm studying from Pearson BBC books. If I was you I would tell some story about history. I'm 69 years old from Latvia. I'm fluently in my native language and Russian.
Hi Luke I'm from Lithuania. Thank you very much you are great . I'm very like you podcasts especially story's. I'm suffering from insomnia but your podcasts helping very well.
He is a good English teacher
🎉

In my opinion you are one of the best in the world of English as a best teacher ❤
I think the same, he is the best
Please continue producing more episodes. This is the only podcast I can watch in its entirety without losing interest, even though the episodes are quite lengthy. . Nice work
I have never lost my interest during listening Luke's podcasts as well.
I really like long episodes, please keep it long ❤
Happy New Year 2025 to you and your family! Wish you the best! Thanks heaps to all your hard work toward us
Hope we can continue listening to your amazing and awesome podcasts throughout this year too. Cheers!
How can I not be thankful young man, alors que with your every single podcast , I defrost my 74 years old brain. Thanks a million ❤
No matter how long your episode is, it's always a great pleasure for me. Thank you Luke, have a fantastic Christmas!
Hello Luke and all listeners,
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
Thanks a million once again for the new episode and all your great effort. I started following your podcasts from episode 906, but I’ve gone back and reviewed up to episode 890. If you ever stop publishing your podcasts, I’ve got a two-year stockpile! :)
I really enjoy listening to your podcasts.
Some recommendations I could give are:
1) to repeat phrases after Luke, this helps you to improve the pronunciation and understand better the meaning.
2) trying to understand each word and to notice how the words are linked ( how one word turns into another one ) without subtitles.
3) noticing and memorising the structure of phrases can help to make better your grammar.
And that's all) Thank you so much! Carry on making podcasts and have a very good Christmas🎉
Thanks luke !!😊 the best for you in this 2025 ,i love hear your
8:25 I think my listening skill is the one that improved the most. and sometimes I find myself speaking your accent..that's great 🎉
Best advice I hink is to print out the pdfs ..grab them and use them while listening to the podcast...
I often do this it's a great way to develop vocabulary listening and reading skills.
I always look forward to the new episode.
Thanks alot
hi Luke!❤
thank you for your episodes!! I'm so glad that one day I found your podcast.
1) listening to it regularly helped me to choose my future career: I had passed an English exam at school and now I'm studying as a translator😊
your episodes are so diverse that I never get bored. different topics and ways of teaching us keep me engaged. also I really like your voice and pronunciation so my ones are improving because I try to shadow you)
I learn so much vocabulary because every time you publish scripts for your episodes and it's very comfortable and useful to see unknown words and phrases. thank you for it.
and also you give me motivation to learn English. when I was so tired of this language, the only thing that I could do is to listen to you.
I wish you all the best✨✨
Merry Christmas Luke! Tks for this year together!🤗
I love looong podcast. Thank you for making most episodes long, Luke ❤
❤️I've been a ninja LEPster for more than 4 years now so I couldn't miss this opportunity to say thanks.
When I just started to listen to Luke's English podcast in 2020 I binged on it for several hours a day during months choosing episodes from the infinite archive.
During this time I've:
Discovered my favourite British accent ever which is the scouse one.
Luke, thanks for your teachings. I have improved my listening!❤
Thank you so much. I really love your lessons
Hello from Thailand, Luke! My listening has improved because of you. Thank you so much!
Thanks.
Merry Christmas, Luke ❤
Thank you for your podcasts-they’ve been incredibly helpful in improving almost all the skills we need to use English.
I’m sure all your followers would love to hear you play ❤
Have a great holiday season and greetings from Ukraine 💙 💛 from the library 😂
Hi dear Luke,
I’ve really enjoyed many of your podcasts and can confidently say that you’re one of the best English teachers I’ve come across on TH-cam.
I gained a lot of English just listening and reading LEP every single week during 2 years
I have been listening to your broadcast for months and really enjoy it.
Hi Luke, Merry Christmas 🎄
I really love your podcast, thank you so much, you're the best teacher!
I listen your podcasts every day and I improve my English. Thank you

Thanks for your efforts
Just wonderful. My 74 years old has difficulties to absorb. Amazing podcasts. ❤
Thank you Luke
Hello Luke happy new year 2025!! Your podcast is like a "library", but an audio-video library.
Thank you so much Luke, for all the good job that you do. I have to say that I'm a new listener, I discovered Luke's English Podcast this year, specifically on July 4 2024, because TH-cam suggests it me after been watching a video of Hadar Shemesh, whose TH-cam channel I follow years ago. Well, this is going to be a long-long comment, but you asked so here we go:
Some of my favorite episodes:
1. Walks and talks.
2. Rambling Episodes.
3. Amber and Paul are on the podcast.
4. Kate Billington.
5. Luke playing Guitar and singing.
6. James’s music.
7. Diplomatic interview.
8. The Beatles.
9. Louvre Museum.
10. Luke with Wife, Daughter and little Son.
11. The family's anecdotes, e.g. been confused with Moby.
12. Long-long episodes.
13. Funny Signs.
I think that the key of LEP is your humor, because when you say something funny or hilarious or even ironic or whatever, this makes me laugh and this is a good way to catch my attention and generated an emotion, making that my brain remembers more in the future.
Some of my favorite jokes and funny moments:
1. The skeletons... I'm one of the skeletons at the end of each long episode lol.
2. The library joke - 🤫 oh sorry... fish and chips, please 😹
Thank you for amazing lessons ❤. I'm learning a lot from you. 😊❤
Like you very much ❤❤❤❤
Thanks! Now I can understand all the English people when they speak! And this is fantastic for my job!
Your podcast is fantastic to improve my English. For grammar, to improve my skills, to learn something more about English people. I can listen to the podcast recording a few times and this is good because for the first listen I write all the unknown words and after I check the meaning and after I listen to the podcast another time to verify my learning!
Thanks for all😅
Thanks of sharing@@SoniaMoratto
Luke your episode always helpful and positive in my opinion it is the best way to improve your listening skill. God bless you, mate.
I am very Happy to Listen to your lessons, your method Is fantastic.
1 house Is maximum for me
Hello Luke, I'm Selin from Turkey.
Hello, Luke,
I would like to thank you for your amazing podcasts.
Hi Luke!👋
First of all, thank you so much for your work!
I love your podcasts,I never miss them😊
I have been listening your podcast for 3 months, so right now I understand your speech.
Dear Luke,
It's been about three years since I discovered your channel on TH-cam.
With all my friendship:

Hi luke🎉Thank you for your videos, they help me learn English much better. I hope you have a nice day.🙏🙏🙏🇹🇭🇹🇭🇹🇭
Dear Luke, thank you for this opportunity to express my gratitude for all that you do for English learners ❤
Luke's TH-cam channel has been an invaluable resource while I was preparing for the IELTS.
Thanks Luke for all episodes

Long episodes, are gold pure
