- เผยแพร่เมื่อ 27 พ.ค. 2024
- Here's a list of jokes about different countries which I found on the website Bored Panda. I'll tell you the jokes and then explain them all (dissecting the frog), including any homophones, double meanings or specific cultural references. Can you "get" the jokes? Do you find any of them funny, or are they all just terrible dad jokes? And, what vocabulary can you learn in the process? Includes a vocabulary review at the end of the episode.

Hello, Luke! I'm an English teacher from Buenos Aires, Argentina. I' m delighted to hear your perfect R.P. English pronunciation. You are very kind and patient explaining things that are too simple for you. Love it when you chuckle, kind of admitting that a joke is terrible. I guess your work is truly helpful for students of English. I learnt a few things about world culture. Thank you so much! 😊
Finally, I found someone who makes English videos that I am interested in.
Me too!
you are Chinese?
You explaining each one of them is even funnier 😂😂😂😂😂
Why doesn’t everybody speak English like Luke? the world would be so understandable, English learning would be so easy, the people would be eager to learn, so much to thank you Luke and specifically your sense of humor. You were born to be what you are, a great English teacher¡ kissy kissy from Mexico city ❤❤❤❤
Good morning Mr. Luke ~ i decided to visit here everyday. it definitely helps my english level up step by step. also introduced Luke's English Podcast to my friends as well. i love your way of teaching english. you really look enjoy teaching and communicating with ~ thanks a lot ~~ 😀😁
Luke talking to himself, getting hit by reality, and then laughing in a deflated, incredulous voice is just too lovely and funny LOL.
Hello Luke, you are one of the best things I hear it every day
Thanks Luke🙏🏻
The Australia criminal record joke got me laugh the most.
What a relief! I'm not the only one who doesn't get some jokes!!! Thanks again Luke for being so human 🤗🤗
I adore joke episodes, I hope you catch more frogs for dissection🐸
Hello Mr Luke, I'm from Brazil and I saw you channel, every single day, because I training my hear, I'm sorry about my write, but that's it. Thx so much and God Bless.
Très mauvais traduction
@@maguybotti448If you can’t say something nice, don’t say anything at all.
I also listen to teacher Luke's English every day for my practice. Cheer up ourselves ❤😊
@maguybotti448 At least Marquinhos made an effort and wrote in English instead of just criticizing jotting down three poor words in French, which don't even make up a whole sentence.
@marquinhosgamer2546, maybe you are wondering exactly what is wrong with your writing and how to improve it. Here is what I would correct.
"I saw your channel" means you saw it once or anyways indicates an action limited in time. Here it seems you mean that you repeatedly watch the episodes, every day.
So you can simply say "I watch your channel every day" (also watch is more something you choose to do, see is something that may happen by chance).
I am not sure you can say "train my hear": first the noun is hearing, but it refers to the sound, not to understanding. I would say "practice my listening skills".
Then, it's "writing", not "write". But I don't think anybody needs to apologize, we're all here for learning.
Some are funny😂. Great podcast, Luke
Fantastic! Next, you could consider doing an episode explaining the jokes from the Tom Brady roast. There's a lot of material that could be clarified for non-English speakers.
Hi, Luke, your english podcasts are Always very interesting. Thanks
what do you call a bee in America, a USB. this is the most favourite joke I thought
I would love to hear all 100 jokes! Great job :) made me laugh a lot 🎉😂
About the 38. Czech mate. It also sounds like “шах и мат” in Russian and may be in Czech it sounds the same way. So it seems more deep joke, like it has two levels 😊 «шах и мат» means complete victory. And chess is called «шахматы» in Russian. So this name consists of those two words
Greeks hints at the word “bricks”, so it sounds like “bricks and concrete”. The joke doesn’t work really, but at least now you see what the word “Greeks” was supposed to refer to here.
Hello teacher Luke , how are you? I love jokes and the short stories you read and desect with vocabulary.I think it' s a good way of learning English. Thanks!!

Russian jokes start with looking over one's shoulder.
We went even far since this joke had been created ( assosiation with Stalin KGB times being actual till now).
Here is a current one: "You sit down on your cellphone by chance and might get 5 criminal records at once" (for your accidental comments of the power).
But we don't complain as we can't!)
Thank you Luke😊 Dankeschön.

Our teacher Luck Thompson is a decent bashful gentleman who goes all red on his face whenever he comes across indecent language and words, in his lectures, I am sorry to see him blushing on his life podcast.

Hello Luke's English Podcast.Thank you for this "funny" lesson.I think, when you can laugh with a joke in a foreign language then your level is good. I 'm french so the story on "le tour de France" suits me. See you soon. From Paris
Good morning. I love your channel, it is very interesting. I am Spaniard and you help me a lot with your videos
Really your voice is God gifted. Nice see to watch. Keep it up.
Suuuper Episode
The fun fact is that a word “Dublin” is also similar to Russian “da blin” which means “ah damn”. So it’s quite funny when you repeat it😁
Hello to you and all friends from Afghanistan.
Hi, Luke! I'm afraid you gave us some bad explanation to joke #16 (it's about Englishman, Scotsman and Irishman). I think it was about Brexit.
Yes you're right, it's about Brexit, which is an example of how voting in the UK is always dominated by English votes over votes from other parts of the country.
Hi Luke, i've been watching your videos for about two months. And you gave me an ability to have a joy of English. It means a lot for me, thanks a lot.
THamk youuu🙏🏻⭐️
Hi Luke, Thanks a lot for this video, it's very funny and we can even learn from them. I enjoyed it very much 😽

Houses in Greece are made of Greeks (instead of bricks 😅) and conCrete
Greetings from a native Greek LEPster 🇬🇷 😊
Thanks 👍
It’s not a good joke though - “bricks” and “Greeks” don’t rhyme and why would a house be made of people?
As a Turkish, i found an interesting knowledge in this episode. Ülker(a Turkish food company) has bought Mcvities. That's the reason we found that biscuits in all markets.
ne diyor tam olarak anlayamadim
@@weifd Mcvities bisküvilerini Ülker almış. Onu söylüyor.
Waw magic trick for changing your tee shirt 👕. Timing 16:20. Bravo 👏👏
Hello Luke, nice to see you 😊
From Morocco 😊
Yes I love your jokes , don't give up pls
because 3 and 7 numbers are close to fibo's golden ratio, people tend to choose that numbers if you ask them to choose a number between 1 to 10
Hello, thank you so much❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Some of the jokes were funny. By the way, my usual answer to the question “How are you?” - " I am still alive!". People usually smile at this.
Mr Luke's thank you for improving my English vocabulary , and you know your channel is great and your way of speaking is so incredible because of your way I so interested always in your channel.
Teacher Luke,I have a hard time understanding the joke whenever people saying, from this episode I somehow get few only after you disecting the joke,, usually for me it takes long time .thank you for teaching English language.
