Just kidding its not that complicated. But I'm here anyway to give you a decently accurate recap of the events that unfolded anyway.

Ah, Orson. On repeat playthroughs I always made sure to take all of his gear and put it into my convey before ending the map.

+AshL In Eirika's side of the story, Lyon's completely possessed by the Demon King. In Ephraim's side of the story, Lyon's worst possible feelings are amplified by the Demon King to the point where he can never be a good guy.

You forgot to mention that despite Eirika being unable to find a boat to cross to Rausten because of the Ghost Ship, Ephraim just gets on a boat, runs straight into the ghost ship, and destroys the entire thing in what was voted the worst map in the game (after the prologue). #JustEphraimThings.

Tbh I know Eirika was naive in that one scene, but it was also really humanizing and in character. She really thought that the stone would save Lyon, having heard from Lyon some of the miracles it could perform such as saving the girl who nearly died. And she hadn't yet come to terms yet that Lyon was truly lost. I think this scene does a good way to transition into her (or Ephraim) getting that resolve to defeat Lyon, during the chat with one of the princesses in chapter 19.
+EmblemBlade9 Me and Ghast had a HUGE discussion about this during the making of the video. I used that exact same argument and much more to try and justify Eirika. Thanks though man. You made my day. :, )
she's still really dumb for doing it but yeah, it's understandable why.
EmblemBlade9 she loses the bracelet that Seth tells her is super important, then 1 or 2 chapters later hands it over to the enemy. This leads Seth to tell her why its important and she still almost lost it a 3rd time to Orson if Seth had not been there to spot the betrayal. Despite finding out the king of Grado was dead and being controled by Lyon from her brother and Knoll, and seeing Lyon right before the Jahanna hall burst into flames( Yes i know Caellach does that but the heros don't see that) she still believes Lyon is good. That goes beyond naive and into stupidity.

- Ephraim is a Gary Stu.
- Eirika is the definition of the word naive and her picture is right next to that word in the dictionary.
- Innes and/or L'Arachel Hard Mode, just like Hector Hard Mode in FE7, would add a LOT of Greatness Points.
+Athanasios Demertzis Just imagining L'Arachel Hard Mode, where you start with your protagonist as a healer and Dozla as your Jaegen... that would be nuts.
+Athanasios Demertzis When I try to envision novelising "Sacred Stones", there are certain elements I'm not sure to decide between... except that Ephraim being beaten by Lyon and losing the stone THAT way, before being moved to tears by his words, is SO the canon path in this case! Ephraim's scene at the end of Chapter 18 is just much more potent and moving overall, too...
Dont get me wrong, I really like Eirika but... that scene was just SO stupid - Eirika's compassionate, not stupid. More importantly, any time she DID make a bad move, it was due to either deception (going to Renvall because Tirado spread rumours about Ephraim's apparent capture) or incomplete information... urgh! Damn it, Seth - would it REALLY have kill you to tell Eirika about her bracelet's properties right after FIRST getting it back from Colm, instead of waiting until she gives it to the enemy (to try and negotiate a hostage trade, that fails) and thus has to fight off that s**tbag Novala to save the civillians AND get it back a SECOND time? Really, were you not convinced ALREADY that she had NO idea just how important that thing was, you boneheaded excuse for a knight Captain?! I mean... Eirika's not perfect, but she's more of a diplomat who's caught in a situation way over her head - against an enemy of demonic beings, no less.
Technically, Ephraim's not perfect either - his own story is about realising that he needs to be a more responsible leader to his people instead of running off on adventures, especially after the war. The two are kinda halves of a whole (incest jokes aside), and they're both great FE Lords. ;)
But here's the real question, is he more Gary Stu than the awakening avatar?
Erika is still less naive then Corrin of Conquest mode.
She's better than Corrin. At least she actually learns some stuff along the way unlike Corrin...stays mostly the same(in Conquest anyway...).

I think FE8 was a fucking awesome game. It had an amazing cast, a solid story because of said cast, it was inspired by Lord Gaiden BUT has pretty nice looking maps.

Actually, I just realized something. FE8's story theme is basically the antithesis of FE13's.
Think about it. The story involves the tragedy of Lyon doing everything in his power to "Challenge his fate" of the earthquake hitting Grado. By doing so, he was responsible for resurrecting the Demon King and causing a war resulting in numerous deaths throughout the continent. Even going through all that length to change the future, the earthquake still happens and all he does is make people hate Grado to the point of considering the earthquake its divine punishment.

2:53 i laughed so loud out so loud at the Legendary Invisible Ghost Frelian Platoon. I just played the game, and you really only ever see like, 4 soldiers of it in cutscenes and hear it mentioned at times!
I sort of hate the game, they should of put a lot of maps in it, once you beat the game all thier is to do is level up all your troops and kill monsters in the ruins, they should of allowed you to fight bandits or other enemies or have more stuff to do.

I like Sacred Stones. While the plot is flawed, and the MC's are kind of stupid, it's still an enjoyable story. Along with that, the villains and characters are super memorable. Plus, the music is great, and the writing is god tier.

I do remember this being brought up in the endgame chapter video of Mangs' Awakening playthrough, but the idea is just so good:
Why isn't there an Innes story to go along with Eirika's and Ephraim's? Sacred Stones, in terms of the number of chapters in a single playthrough, is really short, and only gets partially rectified by the two divergent paths. Over the game, the Lord that you're following (and by extension, the player) learns of events that happen involving Innes, exactly how the same Lord learns of what happens to the other twin. It seemed natural that Innes would have a story alongside the twins, and I was disappointed to learn otherwise.
Now that I've typed this out, I'm not sure why I did this... huh.
it might be because innes started his story before the twins did
they would have had to add another type of like fe7 choose a Lord feature but with the limitations of the GBA cartridge space j don't tthink they would be able to add a whole new set of levels alongside the two they already had. fe7 had the same exact maps besides a few added here and there.
8 would have to have made it the same exact maps to preserve space but that'd just be like playing eirikas story again but with iness as the Lord unit.
Am I the only person that calls fire emblem 8 Fire Emblem: Sacred Stones without the "the" part, or is it just me?

GAME THEORY: Intelligent Systems made FE8 easy enough for babies so that the ratings board would let them put all those mature themes and they averaged the score out to 12+.

One of them let's you do skirmishes to get exp and the other one has a pay wall to get exp
I like this video, but I also love Fire emblem sacred stones. No, it doesn't have the greatest plot, but it has some of the best chapters I've ever seen in fire emblem, and has been my first game (That or halo 2) that I've ever played. So the game sticks to me more than any other fire emblem. Plus, lyon is probably the best antagonist the series has to offer.

Someone should do a hack where you get to play L'Arachels route of divine justice! If there is one big plot hole in this game it's the fact that certain characters will always be available no matter which route you decide to see. It's implied that the split routes are happening at the same time. Thats why on one route we see Cormags brother and on the other we get to see more Valter/Calleth. But L'Arachel, Dozla, Gerik, and Tethys always appear on the side you choose, albeit at different times. And it's not implied that they leave you for some reason so they can appear on the other route. But I guess it's a small detail. I just wish one of them wasn't plot important because she mostly only serves to fill in a role for a country like Joshua, but the way they handled L'Arachel was sort of like an afterthought.
Oh boy.
