If you soak the kelp noodles in lemon juice and baking soda for a few minutes, it softens them making them amazing. My favourite noodles are from Anne at Keto Asian Flavors. I believe she is working on selling them as ready made-noodles.
Sadly I am allergic to lupin flour which is what she uses to make a lot of her bread type items. They do taste good though. I also like making the protein noodles out of the egg whites and gelatin as seen on Indigo Nili videos.
Correct. Kelp noodles must be soaked in warm water with lemon juice and baking soda to give them a pasta texture. Otherwise they are crispy. The longer they soak, the more like pasta. I soak mine for a minimum of 10 minutes.
@Adorable Adornments Steve at serious keto has an alternative version of her noodles that’s made from canned chicken and I can state from personal experience they’re fantastic. The reality is, you could practically make the noodles out of anything that will liquefy.
Tried your spaghetti tonight with the Palmini noodles (the only ones in my local store). And yum! Didn't know spaghetti would be possible in keto, so thank you for bringing "pasta" back into my life!
After watching this video, those are the ones that stood out to me to try. Especially when she said they reminded her of artichokes, I LOVE artichokes. Did you get any artichoke vibe from them at all? Wheat based pasta and pizza dough are the only two things I truly miss since going keto. I give myself a cheat day once a month on those, lol. Thankfully the popular cauliflower pizza crust is pretty good and hopefully these palm based noodles are too. Definitely looking forward to trying them.
I used to say I use my kitchen as a science experiment, just a frustrated scientist stuck in a kitchen at home, but Girl, you are most assuredly a kitchen scientist with a PhD! Thanks for trying all these options.
I recently found a keto skillet lasagna recipe that used a noodle made with just mozzarella & psyllium powder. Super easy recipe because the noodles didn't have to be cooked. I used grated mozzarella, sprinkled the psyllium powder on then melted the cheese & stirred. I let it cool a little before pouring it onto parchment to roll out & cut into squares for the skillet lasagna. I made them about the thickness of cooked lasagna noodles. They were great.
For mashed potatoes I use celery root instead of potatoes. I peel them, dice them, boil until softened. Add salt and pepper, heavy cream and put them through a food processor. I like them better than potatoes. Try it and let me know what you think. 🌸
The best one, available from Netrition, is an Italian brand called Ciao Carb. They have 2 different kinds: Proto, which is the lowest carb (7 per serving), and Nutriwell, which is still low carb (13 per serving), but much more like true pasta. They come in many different shapes. No, they aren't ultra low carb, but totally worth it if you are missing real pasta.

I've used the kelp noodles and you need to prepare them with water, baking soda and lemon. They soften up, but you have to stir them around in the water until they are softened to your liking then rinse them thoroughly before using. I use them to make stuffed chicken wings and you'd never notice them at all. They absorb the taste of whatever they're added to. I prefer them to the shirotaki noodles.
I made homemade egg noodles this afternoon out of eggs and cream cheese. They are AWESOME! Yeah, there’s a little work involved, but I always double if not quadruple the recipe and freeze them so I don’t have to make them that often.
I have found that the immi noodles are softer and less springy if you soak them for a couple of hours in the water that you cook them in ( without either of the packets - flavor or desiccate - lol)- they go well in chicken noodle soup or with Italian sauces. I have chosen as a cheat for myself though, Fiber Gourmet pastas- one serving is 17 net carbs, BUT I can usually get at least three servings for myself out of that one serving so I don't feel too badly about it, plus, I only eat once a day- so it works for me. Tastes like and cooks like regular pasta- and.. you can freeze the cooked noodles which with the shiraroki type noodles is a no no! Thanks for all you do in bringing us good foods and recipes .. you are appreciated! ❤
Healthy noodles from Costco are the top choice for low carb noodles and its not even close. They work perfect for spaghetti and fettuccine! IMMI Ramen is SOOOOOOO good especially with their broth seasonings. The Garlic Chicken is my favorite!
I have purchased and eaten these noodles and seriously guys. There is nothing out there to compare with them. They’re thin. They are not that heavy, but there is no rubbery chew. They do absorb the sauce. You have to give them a try. They will change your life. Enjoy.
Thanks so much, Annie! This was beyond helpful. I always WANT to try all the new ones, but often back away because I hate spending the money and then tossing food. With just one person eating it, one of those packages means eating a LOT of meals you don’t really like if the noodles aren’t your cup of tea! 😂 The lupin noodles look interesting. I wonder how they’d hold up being stored in the fridge as leftovers, though. As you say, they may just disintegrate. But that might be okay, too! I’m definitely going to try them. And stick to hearts of palm when I want to be fancy with my pasta for Italian dishes and shirataki for Asian dishes. Yours is one of my very favorite channels!!! 💕
i have been dying for spagetti for months since i started my change due to diabetes. i have placed my order thru amazon can't wait to share witth my husband. thank you
Hi Annie, you rock sunshine! Huge thanks for sharing this video. I can't afford much and sometimes shy away from purchasing a 'keto based' product so I truly appreciate your research on products. The community here is awesome as well. Each sharing their tips and experiences. Thanks again. 🌞💕👏
Thank you so much for this video! I've been missing noodles & rice from my meals & would give in time & again to eat them. A lot of the brands in my grocery store "said" keto til you look at the ingredients; NOT! After watching this video, I did research on Amazon. I found several of the brands you recommended: man, am I liking them already!! I've already made homemade lasagna & homemade shrimp alfredo. Going to try some of the rice alternatives this week. I've also been using turnips for a while now in place of potatoes, luv this! Thanks again! Now I can get on track & not blow my sugar content. Lol
Giiirrrlllll thank you for trying all of these noodles. I haven't tried them all myself but I HATE the hearts of palm. For me they were so gross and always seemed like they refuse to get al dente. I would like to try that Ramen company but I've been trying to stay away from Gluten and I feel sooooo much better. Regardless of my opinion I love how honest you are and yoru videos.
I also love the hearts of palm noodles the best. I have found when I eat wheat more than one time in a row, I get depression really bad. I use the angel hair noodles, and the rice mostly. All work fine for any pasta recipe. I have purchased the hearts of palm not sliced up into noodles to try and see how they would work out in a mac and cheese recipe. I have yet to find a gluten free, very low carb elbow noodle too. Great video, thank you.
Out of the batch she presented, I'm agreeing with you that the hearts of palm noodles look to be the closest to what I would expect a pasta substitute to be. Haven't tried it yet, but it's on my must-get list.
I lightly fry my shiritaki noodles in garlic oil after rinsing it gets a lot of the moisture out and it removes a lot of the rubbery texture then i add to stir fry or sauce.
Good morning from south on 97 in Bend. I was excited to watch this video. I tried Trader Joes Hearts of Palm noodles. They were not to my liking at all. When you were testing Miracle Noodle I kept thinking that they didn't look like what I have had. Just realized I was thinking of Healthy Noodle that I find at Costco. They do not have a smell and just need a quick rinse. I don't think they feel rubbery. I have had lupin pasta, lulupasta, and it's just ok. Kind of gritty. I have tried making a couple of the online, weird ingredient pastas. Hit and miss as with weird bread recipes. Thank you for doing all the work even though I don't care for your favorite. Then again..... it might be my favorite from those you tried.😉
LOVED this! How awesome that you tested all of them =) I do like the hearts of palm noodles & some of the others, but really love spaghetti squash for red sauces & alfredo types. I noticed you didn't add the soy sauce to the Tik Tok sauce, & I don't eat soy, but coconut aminos would work. I'm also really curious about adding the cream & anise to my next red sauce~ thanks for sharing!
I rinse my spirit alert noodles really well, drain, then add to a hot skillet. Stirring alot til the squeak. Like a chirp sound. Saw here on YT, and it really works. I never notice a smell after that. Good with spaghetti sauce. Good vid!!
The edamame pasta is so delicious. I got a bag from a company called Liviva which they call spaghetti, but it's angel hair. Cook them a bit longer than the package says. If you get tricked into taking them out too early they will just taste like uncooked spaghetti. They do have 17 carbs 15 of which are fiber. Ingredients are organic edamame and water. I cooked them then sauced them with butter, garlic, finely grated parm reg., and lots of black pepper and finely chopped parsley. Tonight I think I'm going to add a serving of big fat shrimp. I can't wait. I am also going to have a new glucose monitor sensor now so that I can see how my body accepts the edamame pasta. I really hope it does, because it was definitely much more pastalike than the Palmini. I bought another brand of edamame fettuccini, which I will try later this week.
Thank you for all your wonderful work! I have been relying on Shirataki noodles for so long, which are not bad, but flavorless. I can't wait to try our the alternatives you provided.
Thank you for your review. It was very helpful. I do like Kelp Noodles and once you add the lemon juice or white vinegar with baking soda you massage them for a couple of seconds, and they soften. I recently ordered the ones made with Heart of Palm and I did not like the taste, but I am sure other people would like it.
Trader Joe’s has a flat noodle (fettuccine?) out of Heart of Palm that has 3 servings. Cut off 1/3 of package to get 1 serving, which also cut the noodle into a usable size. Have also used them for noodles in a vegetable soup using bone broth and whatever veggies chopped are in season.
I have been wanting to make the keto noodles you mentioned... and even bought a lot of strange ingredients. But dang, I don't feel like it! Of all the ones you reviewed, the ramen noodles are the ones I am most excited to try.
The kelp noodles soften if you soak them in Hot salted water with lemon the acid and salt soften them. Also if you were to put them on the stove with your spaghetti sauce the acid from the spaghetti sauce will soften them naturally
Good review! A quick mention: there are some interesting products in Asian grocery stores that are low carb. Pressed tofu is sold in sheets and noodle shapes. Give it a try!
I have found that if you rinse the shirataki noodles until the smell is gone, you don't need to pan fry them. That is what makes them taste like rubber bands. Simply add them directly to your dish.
I’m not sure what my favorite is but I love the palm noodles. Wheat is not on Keto so I wouldn’t use them. I’m sensitive to wheat. I’ve use the sharitake noodles and like them but you have to clean them good and make sure you do the pan part where you dry out the noodles. Thank you for taking your time to compare these noodles.
The Miracle noodles can be made MUCH better by boiling them after draining then frying them until they pop like popcorn. They will not burn. Since they are not being eaten for nutritional value the abuse doesn't matter.
Thanks! great video to inform us about keto noodles 🍝 cuz i really love pasta and rice.. and its hard to stay away from that. i didn’t know we can have low carb keto version of pasta!!
Thanks so much for doing this work so that WE don't have to!!! I ordered some of the 'Wonder Noodles' on-line and they came in a huge package. I'll prepare them after rinsing well and perhaps pre-marinating them in tomato juice before using them for a Keto spaghetti.
The wheat based and the lupini low carb pastas are a red flag for diabetics. I tried the lupini and wheat based pastas and they reeked havoc with my blood sugar numbers. I have to stick with the hearts of palm or shirataki noodles. The hearts of palm just don't soften enough. I haven't tried the low carb ramen; hopefully, that might be an option for me.
Artichokes are from a ground plant not a tree. I too like hearts of palm. I love the earthy smell or taste it has. thanks so much for doing all the comparison work for us! I have loved your videos since 2017❤️
Spaghetti Squash- cut one serving (across like a circle, not lengthwise), cover with paper towel, microwave 4 minutes. Cover the uncooked end with paper towel & rubber band, stores in fridge for days until next serving is needed. Spaghetti squash is best freshly cooked. Also the (5 min) oven-baked 2 egg whites & 1oz cream cheese(with half teaspoon vital wheat gluten & parmesan cheese) pasta is good.
Thank you for testing these products. I tried three kinds of the Liviva brand Shirataki with oat fiber: rice, spaghetti, and penne. I didn't mind the rice which I added to the chicken soup. I have not tried the spaghetti yet as I absolutely detested the rubbery texture of the penne with cheese sauce. If it would've broken up easier while chewing then possibly I wouldn't have minded it but it was too chewy and rubbery...and flavorless! Perhaps it needs to be cooked longer than the directions called for, but as a replacement for penne pasta, I give it a -10!
I just kelp noodles all the time as the domt go mushy like most I do pour boiling water them and let sit for 20 mins to soften before using Great video, good to see all the options
After I drain and rinse mine, I spread out some paper towels and I put those noodles on the paper towels. I let them sit there to dry. Then I put them in a hot large pan, the largest that I have, that's 12in. I spread them as much as I could. I keep them on there until the noodles are as dry as they can get. Then I add them to whatever sauce I have.
You were not taught to properly prepare 2 of those noodles to get rid of the undesirable texture. I tried all the same keto noodles you listed plus a few alternatives to wheat or rice noodles before there so many options were available. My current favorite is homemade Keto Asian flavors noodles with sodium alginate in calcium chloride bath. Easy and delicious. I also love shirataki noodles in cold sauces or in soup and hearts of palms with veggies and rich thick sauces. I am so happy there are so many choices now!
I love the chemistry one. It’s a lot of work but fairly east and good. Steve from serious keto did a video a few years back. You wiz the ingredients. add the sodium alginate do a water bathe with calcium lactate then drizzle mixture into it and let it sit. It makes noodles and they are wonderful. Anyway, it’s that recipe. There’s one with chicken and one with eggs.
I did the hearts of palms lasagna noodles and I would recommend to boil them first to soften them as they are rubbery or hard if you don’t boil first. The package recommends you can do this if you want but it’s not necessary, I’m my opinion it is necessary.
Thank you for the reviews!! And Im on board with you.. hearts of palm and sherataki noodles are my go to. Which link is for Keto Ramen I definitely want to try those!
Great information, thank you! With the konjac noodles, immediately upon opening the bag, I simply squeeze about a tablespoon of lemon juice into the bag (I have opened just a part of the bag to get the lemon in so the stinky smell remains inside the bag). Then, give the noodles a shake and squeeze before straining and rinsing. The smell is literally GONE immediately when the lemon is added. I have also done this with pouring the noodles into a strainer and squeezing lemon juice whilst rinsing. This method also works of course but I do get that small initial smell of the noodles. So whatever I can do to avoid that is optimal! This was a massive game changer, simply adding lemon. I DO prefer to chop the longer noodles with scissors as I find that I notice the more rubbery texture if left so long. I have made everything you can think of with konjac noodles. Here in Australia they have lasagna sheets, not sure if those are available in the US. I've made lasagna, but also, I have used them to make Vietnamese style fresh spring rolls which I loved, and still intend to try making dumplings, I need to figure out the seal though, to keep them held into the parcel shape. Also, I have simply rinsed, not even bothered to cook off the moisture and they're great. But definitely wouldn't do that if I hadn't pre rinsed with lemon juice because the smell is noxious!! I'm definitely going to try the palm. Those I have been very curious about. In the US I was in Alaska and discovered konjac penne pasta at Safeway in the regular pasta section, not the health food area. Those are fantastic!! Can't find them in Australia though unfortunately. One of the things I just LOVE about these konjac noodles and rice is that they're so portable. I've literally grabbed a quick picnic of canned tuna or salmon, a baggie with some simple seasoning I'm in the mood for, some shredded cheese, I tend to have a basic prepper items like a small mct oil for picnics, my lemon, bag of konjac and I'm good to go. Honestly, with the exception of the cheese, the other items are grab n go from the pantry. Picnic on the beach can be so simple and tasty. Thank you for this great video.
Thanks - Very good. Bottom line, however, is that everyone has different likes/desires for Texture and Taste. I have tried all these and summarily say that (1) I don't like any noodle that is rubbery, (2) don't like any noodle that I have to make from scratch, and (3) I am not going to do a lot of processes to fix noodles that smell like fish guts when I first open the package. I. personally, prefer the Great Low Carb Bread Co noodles. The major challenge to this, however is price and net carbs. I can do 7 Carbs easily as long as I fast the next day. I really don't like the ridiculous expense: but hey it's worth it to have a good spaghetti dinner once every two weeks. What I am saying is don't try to be zero carbs and enjoy a great spaghetti dinner. "If you eat it - you should enjoy it". And you can do this without breaking ketosis and loving to eat a good spaghetti.
You have to soften the kelp noodles in water to which you add an acid and a base (like lemon juice and baking soda). Just swirl them around for a few seconds until they reach a nice noodly consistency then rinse to stop the reaction or they will become mushy. It completely changes the texture! I am a great fan, though, of the molecular gastronomy noodles that Keto Asian Flavors uses--I've experimented with using more lupin flour and egg powder to make them even better!
No commercial brands are using almond flour. I bought Kaizen fusili and it cooked way faster than what the instructions say. I drained them and put them in the fridge to keep firm. Overall a great option if you want a break from meat meat meat
I find that the acid in the spaghetti sauce softens the kelp noodles.Just cut them up into smaller pieces. Rinse and drain well( I use a salad spinner). Then throw them in your spaghetti sauce and let them simmer a few minutes. This is very close to spaghetti texture. But I like Egglife or crepini noodles better
I LOATHE hearts Of Palm noodles! You might as well do zoodles. I found the shiritake okay but too squeaky in my mouth. I’m going to try the kaizen. Thanks for that tip!
My friend made lasagna with the hearts of palm and it was delicious! Definitely the best keto pasta that I’ve tried. Thank You for the video. Your sauce recipes looked tasty.
Geez, I thought the Healthy Noodles had the taste and texture of wet cardboard! I returned the remaining package to Costco for a refund. 🤮 LOVE the recipe from Keto Asian Flavors, or Serious Keto version. Make a big batch, keeps in the fridge for a couple weeks.
The best noodles and spaghetti I have tried are made by Low Carb Foods out of North Carolina. They are quite low carb and so like regular pasta, plus no odor. They are very efficient with mail delivery when you order from their site.
Loved your reviews. The hearts of palm doesn’t taste or feel like spaghetti to me, but I use it once in a while anyways, the shiritaki is a nono for me and not because of the smell, it’s the rubbery texture it just doesn’t work. The low carb ramen I love and it’s major ingredient is pumpkin protein powder and just 6g net carb per packet that’s a steal
Hearts of palm is my favorite also. I’m gluten free but even if I wasn’t I enjoy the hearts of palm. To me they taste most similar to bamboo shoots. But a lot better haha. Thanks for another great video!
I agree! Hearts of palm for me, as well. But, most of the time, I just don’t bother. It’s just me eating it so I don’t need to worry about the expectations of others for something to look or taste or feel a certain way. I heat up (and drain well) canned French cut green beans and eat my pasta sauce over those if I’m looking for spaghetti with sauce. They have the right mouth feel, don’t really have much distinct flavor against a meat-heavy sauce with grated cheese, add some veggies and are cheap and inexpensive. I stockpile them when they’re on sale - my faves are Del Monte, regular or low sodium. I do like the Palmini lasagna sheets. I had been making noodle-less lasagna for 15 years and was perfectly happy until two years ago when I saw that Palmini was making lasagna noodles. I added them in and layered things and they were fine. I wasn’t ever much of a fan of using eggplant slices, etc to replace the noodles so it was an option to add that mouthfeel back. I still mostly make my lasagna noodle-less, but every so often I get the urge!
For the kelp noodles you were supposed to put them in lemon juice and baking soda which softens the noodles. Then you rinse them off after soaking them for a few minutes. You should look into how to prepare them and give a review
Hi Annie, thank you so much for all your amazing videos. They are very inspiring and helpful. I love this one on the various keto noodles. Have you tried the new Mac And Cheese product by Perfect Keto? It’s a dead ringer for Kraft Mac and Cheese! The pasta is Lupin flour based and comes with a dry cheese packet just like Kraft, but way better ingredients.
Wanted to try Shirataki until I saw them in this video.😅 Oat fiber noodles didn't look bad. I wonder how many people were put off by the tape worm comment though. My Mom woulda 😱 and avoided. Hearts of Palm looks good, but super thin noodles aren't the most appealing for me though. Gonna look into the rice though...👍 You eating kelp noodles.😂 Wheat based anything looks more my speed. 4 ounces for 14 carbs doesn't sound bad. Egg sandwich in the morning and this would be under 30-40 carbs for me. Breakfast is always the same but dinners are always irritating finding something not rich in carbs. I really appreciate your video, been trying to find noodles that aren't to carb rich. So thank you.👍👏
I use hearts of palm for Alfredo and Parmesan based pasta dishes. It’s the best way to eat them in my opinion as the artichoke flavor goes really well and the white sauce and cheese helps with the consistency. As for spaghetti, I prefer the lupin flour based noodles. I must try the ramen! I’ve been dying to find a good keto ramen to appease my ramen addiction 😂
After you rinse the noodles bring the ph levels back to normal with 2 tablespoons of white vinegar in 2 cups of cold water. Soak the noodles for 2 minutes in the vinegar water, then re-rinse. The smell is totally gone. Also, you have to try Wonder Noodles ! They are the best in my opinion.
Actually "heart of palm" is not found inside the tree but inside the leaf stems of the palm branches. If you cut or rip a leaf off a palm tree & cut away all the fiber from the center of the leaf stem you'll find palm hearts are the softer core of the leaf stem.
The main problem with this video is that for the final taste test, she is only comparing the the 2 sauce recipes with the different varieties, and not the actual taste of the noodle.
Thank you for the review. Loving noodles all my life when I became Keto I too went on a search for a good replacement. I tried all the Shirataki/miracle variants but I could never get over their slimy texture and never used them. I do love the hearts of palm but for me it is a no brainer since I love ANYTHING hearts of palm which has so many other uses! But recently I found a Keto noodle which, for me, has been the best ever but I did not see it among the ones you reviewed. It is called "Healthy Noodle" and is made of a combination of some of the ingredients in the noodles you reviewed and some of the chemist viral noodles. The noodles are delicious, have no smell or texture problems, go great with all sauces and have 6 whole carbs which are all fiber and thus they are 0 net carbs. You should try these.
If you soak the kelp noodles in lemon juice and baking soda for a few minutes, it softens them making them amazing. My favourite noodles are from Anne at Keto Asian Flavors. I believe she is working on selling them as ready made-noodles.

This 100% works. The texture is very similar to rice vermicelli if you do this.
Correct. Kelp noodles must be soaked in warm water with lemon juice and baking soda to give them a pasta texture. Otherwise they are crispy. The longer they soak, the more like pasta. I soak mine for a minimum of 10 minutes.

This sounds amazing.
I also use rutabagas and turnips as a mashed potato substitute. Great on Shepherds Pie.
Yuck. Cauliflower is a way better mashed potato substitute

Warning for anyone allergic to peanuts, it's possible for you to also be allergic to lupin beans/flour. It's not absolute - you could also be allergic to other beans, talk to your doctor. That actually makes sense, as they are all legumes. (People often don't realize that peanuts aren't actually nuts)

Our new favorite is to thinly slice EggLife wraps. I got the idea from Maria Emmerich.
Love this idea!
Thanks for this very thorough review. My group will appreciate it.
I’ve never tried those before
Out of the batch she presented, I'm agreeing with you that the hearts of palm noodles look to be the closest to what I would expect a pasta substitute to be. Haven't tried it yet, but it's on my must-get list.
How did the Mac and cheese turn out? What did you have to do different?
Excited to try the hearts of palm noodles. Thank you for the comparisons!!
They are so good!!
To soften the kelp noodles, massage them lemon juice and baking soda for a few minutes till desired softness achieved.
Thank you for putting in the work to find a good noodle so we won't have to!👌
I love the It's Skinny noodles; I've never detected a smell to them. They do have a slight rubbery texture.
How did they work out, please?
What a great video. I am new to keto, so I've been curious about these different keto pastas... thank you for sharing!
Hi Annie! 🙂 I have been wanting to do something different with these noodles. The TikTok Ramen Sauce looks like a winner. Thanks!
Thank you for your thoroughness. I will check out some of those noodles. I do miss pasta and this looks like a way to have some.
Good review! A quick mention: there are some interesting products in Asian grocery stores that are low carb. Pressed tofu is sold in sheets and noodle shapes. Give it a try!
Very helpful! Thank you for making this video.
Thank you and your family for all that “ taste testing” 👏👏💕
Lol, Julie I thought the same thing. 🌞
I have found that if you rinse the shirataki noodles until the smell is gone, you don't need to pan fry them. That is what makes them taste like rubber bands. Simply add them directly to your dish.
that's what I do.too
@Barbara Underwood so is the shirataki already cook?
I rinse Miracle Noodles and add them to what I'm cooking just long enough to heat them up
they can be used cold or hot. Just rinse
I love them and have eaten them for years
Thanks! great video to inform us about keto noodles 🍝 cuz i really love pasta and rice.. and its hard to stay away from that. i didn’t know we can have low carb keto version of pasta!!
Cook them and throw them in the freezer overnight for less starchy. Bread, rice etc
I use, almost exclusively, Healthy Noodle.I buy at Costco in the deli/refrigerated section.
Thank you! My biggest struggle as an Italian is finding a decent substitute for noodles!
You can soak the kelp noodles in a mix of baking soda and lemon juice to soften them up.
Artichokes are from a ground plant not a tree. I too like hearts of palm. I love the earthy smell or taste it has. thanks so much for doing all the comparison work for us! I have loved your videos since 2017❤️
Kelp noodles are treated with 1 tsp of Baking soda and lemon to soften them…. Rinse well after the softening treatment.
Another great video! Such quality content! Thanks for sharing! :)
I love the Immi Ramen noodles. I used a pack to make chow mein for my lunch today. Divine!
I love these comparison vids..thanks
Thank you for testing these products. I tried three kinds of the Liviva brand Shirataki with oat fiber: rice, spaghetti, and penne. I didn't mind the rice which I added to the chicken soup. I have not tried the spaghetti yet as I absolutely detested the rubbery texture of the penne with cheese sauce. If it would've broken up easier while chewing then possibly I wouldn't have minded it but it was too chewy and rubbery...and flavorless!
Perhaps it needs to be cooked longer than the directions called for, but as a replacement for penne pasta, I give it a -10!
I just kelp noodles all the time as the domt go mushy like most
I do pour boiling water them and let sit for 20 mins to soften before using
Great video, good to see all the options
I find the Palmini noodles to be harder than the Natural Heaven. Natural Heaven’s noodles are already soft and have the perfect texture
Thank you for the reviews!! And Im on board with you.. hearts of palm and sherataki noodles are my go to. Which link is for Keto Ramen I definitely want to try those!
So glad you made this video, thank you
You’re welcome ❤️
SPAGHETTI MADE WITH QUINOA IS FLAT OUT DELICIOUS
my fave is from noodle revolution! I was hoping you would review them.
Noodle Revolution! Made from egg whites, but you would never know! These are my favorite ❤️
That ramen sauce is super delicious!!! Thank you.
Thanks for doing all the work! 🍝🍜👍🏻
I boil the palmini noodles in seasoned water for about 15 minutes before draining and adding a sauce. This will soften the ''noodles'' somewhat.
I LOATHE hearts Of Palm noodles! You might as well do zoodles. I found the shiritake okay but too squeaky in my mouth. I’m going to try the kaizen. Thanks for that tip!
I bought the low-carb noodles at TJ MAXX and I cooked them today at the microwave, but the question is should I boil them in the pan? 🤔
What brand of noodles is it? I would just prepare them however the package states.
@@KetoFocus Keto's Noodle Doodle
My friend made lasagna with the hearts of palm and it was delicious! Definitely the best keto pasta that I’ve tried.
Thank You for the video. Your sauce recipes looked tasty.
Love your channel. Tapeworms!!
Healthy Noodle from Costco FTW. Fettucine type noodle with no weird smell or texture. Works great in an alfredo or marinara sauce.
My Costco stopped carrying them. I am devastated 😢
@@DisMissTnT ours did for a time also but they came back, so there's still hope.
Geez, I thought the Healthy Noodles had the taste and texture of wet cardboard! I returned the remaining package to Costco for a refund. 🤮
LOVE the recipe from Keto Asian Flavors, or Serious Keto version. Make a big batch, keeps in the fridge for a couple weeks.
the kelp noodles you can put right into your spaghetti sauce and they will get soft and taste like regular noodles.
The best noodles and spaghetti I have tried are made by Low Carb Foods out of North Carolina. They are quite low carb and so like regular pasta, plus no odor. They are very efficient with mail delivery when you order from their site.
Can you send the link i tried to Google but I don't see it. Just moved from CA to NC 😊
Give the name?
Loved your reviews. The hearts of palm doesn’t taste or feel like spaghetti to me, but I use it once in a while anyways, the shiritaki is a nono for me and not because of the smell, it’s the rubbery texture it just doesn’t work. The low carb ramen I love and it’s major ingredient is pumpkin protein powder and just 6g net carb per packet that’s a steal
I tried everything made from the hearts of palm and nothing tasted like pasta and it was gross....sorry
Hearts of palm is my favorite also. I’m gluten free but even if I wasn’t I enjoy the hearts of palm. To me they taste most similar to bamboo shoots. But a lot better haha. Thanks for another great video!
You’re welcome ❤️
I love the hearts of palm. I find the longer the pasta is in the sauce the better the taste, soaks up the flavors of the sauce.
You didn’t try Banza? Love 💕 love 🍝 love
Yam fiber is Shirataki. some brands add oat fiber to it to change the color and texture a bit.
There is another one by "Thin Slim foods" 8 net carbs per 2 oz serving but they taste good
Try Impastable it's a great low carb pasta. Their pasta are crumbly and fall apart, but the elbows stay together. It is great for mac & cheese!
Wanted to try Shirataki until I saw them in this video.😅
Oat fiber noodles didn't look bad. I wonder how many people were put off by the tape worm comment though. My Mom woulda 😱 and avoided.
Hearts of Palm looks good, but super thin noodles aren't the most appealing for me though. Gonna look into the rice though...👍
You eating kelp noodles.😂
Wheat based anything looks more my speed.
So thank you.👍👏
I heard you soak them in a little baking soda or something before rinseing and it helps that texture
Amazing video. Thank you.
Aldi sells a few options. I would be interested in your take on those, especially in terms of a comparison of rubbery ness.
I use canned Bean Sprouts in place of noodles for some things like Pho, Pad Thai, etc...
Actually "heart of palm" is not found inside the tree but inside the leaf stems of the palm branches. If you cut or rip a leaf off a palm tree & cut away all the fiber from the center of the leaf stem you'll find palm hearts are the softer core of the leaf stem.
Shirataki noodle smell can be eliminated if you sprinkle with salt, toss, allow to to sit for a few minutes, then rinse and they’re ready to use
You should try these.
juz got hime from costci and got da healthy noodles...cant wait to try it now
